I've spent 2 months tenting and backpacking alone in Canada's rugged British Columbia mountains in cougar and bear country? And without a gun just bear spray and common sense. My MEC tarn tent has got me through through snow hail75 MPH winds and HEAVY RAIN.....Camp all the time alone......why are you so scared?
@@bradfarrahgerwing154 I agree mate. I was camped out that same night on the side of a UK mountain with not a care in the world. Really enjoyed the wild weather. 70-100mph winds are not really a problem if you have the right gear and know what you're doing. Regarding US/Canada, I have camped solo in bear 🐻 country and wilderness regions for decades and never had a problem. I never carry a gun and don't carry bear spray. Wild animals and wild weather is nothing to be scared of as long as you respect and understand the wilds. Far more dangerous to man is other humans.

Hi, just caught what sounds like your 2nd video which I was enjoying, but had concerns as an experienced camper about being in woodland during high winds as it is not just a dead branch you need to worry about but rain we have had recently combined with wind can bring a tree down which is not a good look in the middle of the night. You made the right decision to leave and head home. Save the cheese and yourself for next time. Look forward to your next trip. 😊

It's just not smart to be out in that bc if your head gets hit from a falling branch, no matter the size, it could knock you out, and if you were cut too then you could bleed out and no one would know where you are so getting help would be slim unless someone happened to be walking by and saw a down limb or tree on your bivy or tiny tent. So good for you for knowing when to pack it up and get home! Plus being in bed with Chloe is far more comfortable for you, I'm sure. And why not let her come??! I think it would be great for her to be apart of the videos.

Hi thank you, I created my icon myself/logo myself, I picked up the skills during lockdown. Same with the basic editing skills on videos, I don't use cap cut though, do you think I should check it out?

I could not camp in one of those bivys, I am to claustrophobic for that. It would be like sleeping in a coffin. I use the inner of my one person Lynx 1 tent with a 5x7 tarp over the top. Seems to work well and I have plenty of room to sit in my camp chair and cook. Plus, I can see out of it. To bad about the widow makers. Looked like a cool place to camp.

HEY HEY! Been waiting for your next upload. Honest question here, i live in the U.S. state of Utah, there are tons of places to go for ANY type of camping you want, but I find myself drawn to you folks across the pond.... WHO DO YOU WATCH AS A GUILTY PLEASURE... FOR CAMPING VIDEOS, ya perv...
My apologies, as the day job has been in the way, but I have done my best to start working around it for frequent videos :) so hopefully you will have consistency from me in the future. As for a guilty pleasure... grizzly gaz is ofcourse always at the top of the list but I watch the likes of haze, Paul messner on occasion too. I now try to be careful of watching other TH-cam outdoors channels as I want my channel to become the best reflection of MY style and not accidentally adopt THIER style :)

How does one have only two videos and have 1.55K subscribers? Not hating but this is highly unusual. I see many channels on TH-cam featuring similar content with several hundred videos and they are not close to 1000; and they have been around for several years.
I've managed to be taught very well, by a great mentor of the TH-cam arts! He's given me a great start :) I've been lucky to have been wild camping since I was 15 years old so plenty of knowledge in that area to share :) I hope you stick around to watch :)
Aye I find there's a lot of slugs hiding in the leaves though! And sometimes it's comfier for me. Although I did accidentally bring back two slugs home haha
Why on earth do people still insist on camping in woods, I even saw a video were a chap advised people to do so, ridiculous. The only reason people camp in woods is so they can light a fire, which totally goes against the genuine wild campers rule of being as inconspicuous as possible. In twenty odd years of wild camping I have never lit a fire or camped in a wood .... Why would I need to do either ?
Love your enthusiasm of wild camping :) I think for the main thing is when it comes to a whole community, we should all do what makes it enjoyable for us :) I hope everyone has a great and safe time out there :)

Tents and a fire in the local woods might scare other people, and some would class it anti social, and it gets classed with the piss up in the woods brigade. Stealth is the number one rule.

I now try to be careful of watching other TH-cam outdoors channels as I want my channel to become the best reflection of MY style and not accidentally adopt THIER style :)

Why not have a 10' x 12' tarp so you can sit and cook under the tarp, get in and out of your sleeper tent.
I have just upgraded some gear and got myself a tarp :)

How does one have only two videos and have 1.55K subscribers? Not hating but this is highly unusual. I see many channels on TH-cam featuring similar content with several hundred videos and they are not close to 1000; and they have been around for several years.
It's because he has a positive attitude and a great personality, one that is made for TH-cam 😎

Why on earth do people still insist on camping in woods, I even saw a video were a chap advised people to do so, ridiculous.
The only reason people camp in woods is so they can light a fire, which totally goes against the genuine wild campers rule of being as inconspicuous as possible.
In twenty odd years of wild camping I have never lit a fire or camped in a wood .... Why would I need to do either ?

Tents and a fire in the local woods might scare other people, and some would class it anti social, and it gets classed with the piss up in the woods brigade.
