I wanted to tell you, I enjoy your vlog so much. You are like a version of my friends from back in the day. I'm in my late 50's. You are totally relatable to Americans of a certain type. Just to give you an of idea what I meant by that comment, me for example. I'm Haitian American, moved to NYC from Fla when I was 18 to go to F.I.T. I graduated with a degree in fashion design. I went on to study Haute Couture in Paris in the 80s. I have been an entrepreneur and have reinvented myself numerous times throughout the years. I fantasize about creating or finding some business that will have me traveling to Kenya or living there. I hope for you that people find your channel who want to find out if they can live a modern western style life in Africa. Without, your life becoming an African print, sort of speak. Not that there is anything wrong with that if that is what you want. My interpretation is that you are more of a "W" type gal.
I hope I can throw in my two cents here. You're welcome to come live in Kenya...without losing the western lifestyle especially in Nairobi which is a super vibrant city (you will be amazed by how western and techy it really is). Unless you live in total isolation (which I'm sure you won't), after a while 'Kenyanness' will inevitably begin to imprint on you as you embrace and become a product of your environment. E.g. it will become easier to speak Kenyanese (basically Kenyan grammar) to express certain situations, or develop a preference for local designers for fashion or home decor as you settle here. Joy (who grew up in the US) has also reinvented herself through the years and today showcases how the 'African print' can have a global feel. In short, I guarantee you will love it here.
