Actually similar thing happened to one of the passengers on the famous Hudson river plane landing not long ago in New York. I think both engines failed after plane take off and the pilot told all passengers to brace for impact. Then one of the passenger who survived the crash gave interview on what he felt when he came to know that he is going to die in plane crash, He thought off all the people in his life and what he could have done differently. I am sure his interview is still there on youtube
