What a wonderful judge! Teaching that kid about justice and compassion is worth more to the city than any fine. He'll be a better citizen for it.

I always appreciate the genuine sense of fairness with which this Judge treats the people in his courtroom. There is an old saying which goes, " If you can't treat people like human beings, then you shouldn't be treating people at all". Your Honor, you treat people like human beings. In fact, you are the benchmark of fairness & compassion as to how all people should be treated. God Bless you.

This judge is a remarkable and very compassionate man.
I've seen this judge do this kind of thing numerous times. Big heart, big brain. This is also something I hope this kid remembers for a long time. He's got a great future if he keeps his head on straight

And also shows him that yeah, you might get stuck with some serious problems from time to time... But they can be worked out. I think it was important to him that this wouldn't leave a sour taste in his mouth or think of his mother as less for being there.
Great example of having courage to stand up for yourself and humbly request mercy when a mistake is made. Mom seemed honest to say she wasn't aware of special zone but is aware now. Respectful son, compassionate judge, proud and thankful mom. Winners all around.

I love this judge. I teared up on this one. She has a great kid. He’s not worried about how he might not get a toy or something he wants only to be fair and have her be held accountable. That’s awesome. This judge restores my faith in humanity. Great access.

There is sooo many positive things I can say about this. This young boy was remarkable, respectful, honest, intelligent, humble, and so many other positive words. I wish him nothing but the best in his future to come. A huge thanks to his mom, for raising a respectful young man.

This is a wonderful judge who teaches the boys the value of education and respectable fair judgment.
They say education starts at home. She raised him well. God Bless the judge for lowering the charges. People go through such difficult times in life and if you come across people who are compassionate then you won half the battle in life.

@@atokhaimenblessing414 Sadly judges don't effect war, they effect citizens, which is kinda different as a judge isnt gonna enter a warzone were they are powerless as a war has no laws, (I understand there's war crimes but I don't see how adding a law to war would change anything as those laws can only be self regulated)

Amazing that the boy had a sense of justice, not exonerating mum but accepting the responsibility of a fine but trying to be fair about the judgement. When told about the $300 being greater than $100 he pitches it at $184 and when told of the $20-30 band he pitches it at $30. Accepting responsibility for breaking the law but also demonstrating compassion and mercy as the mum couldn’t afford the eventual fine! Amazing life lesson.
We need more in our system like him! He could teach the world a thing or two.

I admire the judge.. In the process, he not only made the kid understand the importance of discipline and honesty, he is also letting know the parents that they need to be disciplined , honest and live by example before they expect their kids to be..
Raising a child with such honesty and integrity will benefit society 1000 times more than the 270$ discount she got on the ticket. The judge did it out of compassion, but it was a financially smart decision too for the city and society in general.
Judge Caprio is the sole father of what USA need to focus on, Give honest hardworking people a genuine brake as its human to make mistakes when city ordinance need unfair revenues and laws do not perticular faiviour recidential rights to park outside their properties so safty off wehicle property can be achieved.
Good governed guidelines should be set up to follow a transparent way to help its residence and visitors alike to accommodate transparent parking facilities so the community can prosper and reduce crime thefts and burglaries.

Can't believe it, that a chief judge doing that kind of Work,
there are issues that need really to be done..
You see so many court cases from USA TV that makes you think that everyone is crazy. Then you see something like this and it warms your heart. This Judge did the right thing and took what have caused trauma to a 9 year old and turned it into a learning experience without the pain and judgement on your parent. My hat goes off to this man.
