I don't want to rain on the parade but I noticed the snake you were holding was shedding. While I'm sure the owner gave permission and knew their snake was okay, I do think others should be aware that shedding is a stressful time for a snake and many prefer not to be touched. Always check with a handler/owner before touching or picking up a snake, especially when going through the shedding process.

Not only was that snake shedding, but that snake had stuck shed (snakes are meant to shed in one piece, easily, if kept at proper humidity) and was severely dehydrated (paper like wrinkles). It really hurt to see. :(
