    I did this trek in 95 long before GoPro or mini video camera's existed. I only documented it with still camera's. Nice to see many of my adventures on this planet captured as I experienced it. Though my experience had many more Hippie of the path moments spent with Locals & Sadhu's, etc.

    • @SujoyShivde
      @SujoyShivde  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great to hear about your experience! I'm sure a lot must have changed, as even the experience from my parents who went 10 years back was quite vivid and different. I believe some of the sadhu cult still exists, but being in a large group, we couldn't experience all of it

      @@SujoyShivde any journey there would be incredible. As an American with my Bengali wife on the journey was crucial to break the language barrier.
      Near the start of our trek we decided to veer off into Pulna Village & the local teen boys gave us the royal treatment and put us up the first night which allowed us to get an early start the next day. Fortunately the road wasn't too busy. Mostly Sikhs pilgrims & Sherpas. So we reached Ghangaria long before nightfall

      Hi, every month offers a different sight. July end is start of the true flowering season with big flowers. Every week thereafter during and after the rains offers a new view. The flowers can be seen if it isn't raining in the valley. New varieties emerge if it rains. So it's a matter of luck. View is available till September first week. I went early in July and it had just begun to rain and so we didn't see an incredible variety but it was enjoyable nevertheless :)

      Typically bade flowers ka season hota hai, joh July last week and August first week ke beech main hota hai. Other times, chote chote flowers dikhte hai, aur valley ki sundarta badhate hai

    How's the weather there in July do I need some woolens

    • @SujoyShivde
      @SujoyShivde  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Expect occasional moderate to heavy rain post mid-July Yes keeping woollens will help you during your stay in Ghangaria. Even if it's not raining, it's usually cool in the valley and if you're going to Hemkund Sahib, temperatures drop dramatically. Woollens won't help you during the climb, it's nice to just layer up for hiking in the cold

    • @SujoyShivde
      @SujoyShivde  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can be done if you are super fit or use the help of mules and horses, but you won't be able to do justice to both these beautiful places and give sufficient time if you plan both for the same day.

    Is it possible to travel with 6 months baby

    • @SujoyShivde
      @SujoyShivde  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Trail difficulty wise not a problem travelling with your baby if you can carry the baby on your front with a strong strap attachment. But, I'd strongly consult a physician regarding the altitude and lower oxygen levels at the elevation to prevent trouble and further complications to the child because of the atmospheric conditions.
