I Scientifically Grew My Muscles in A Lab
You have to respect Will for always being open-minded or at least respectful, to total bullshit garbage that is borderline insulting.
The only thing here that is mostly a pseudoscience is the electric recharge station or w/e, everything else is completely legitimate.
Exactly what I was thinking 😂 the guy with the glasses is full of shit. “There are studies to show this builds a lot of muscle” while talking about lactic acid buildup and blood flow restriction and having him train multiple muscles at once, all of which will just prevent you from building any muscle. Most likely if those studies even exist they were performed on people who haven’t touched a weight in their lives and would gain muscle from going up a steep staircase
Do we really have to respect what is basically an ad for conman bullshit ? Not even 3 minutes in and it's already unbearable
I think the machine in the 2nd lab could actually not be complete bs, the other lab seemed sussy af tho.
The guy is such a pencilneck@@hughhagen4968
i would love to see Dr. Mike reacting or even testing it to give his opinion
You'll never see Dr. Mike do that resistance machine for a hard set like Will did.
let's be honest we already know his opinion, but I would love to hear another sex related delusional joke
@@TelvanniWizardMoneyGang Why?
@@sadxparty YEAH KKKKKKKK
HELP LMAOO
That resistance machine is like Mentzer's wet dream. It's exactly what he always described, it just didn't exist yet then.
Omg your right =O
Maximizes every negative, and recruites all muscle fibers in every movement
That machine is a dream for every hit enthusiast.
The inventor literally wanted a machine with infinite resistance to do Mike’s Consolidated Routine or McGuff’s “Big 5.”
Yeah i had the same thought that machine would be the dream workout
14:26 This is pretty much the principles of what Mike Mentzer said. High intensity, low volume. 1 set, high recovery time. It's also combined with the views he had on static and negative reps.
exactly
Worker said he does it once a week. It’s shows.
I genuinely want it
@@enriqueacevedo2320 Yes, but can you genuinely afford it? My gym cost $12/week

It's always suspicious when the chef looks as though he doesn't like his own food.
Was wondering the same. Although as a home baker, I like to keep fit and not overindulge. A lot of bakers/cooks/chefs are fit nowadays. And many aren't.
Life is short, so biohack it... or not?
Haha good one,
"Never trust a skinny chef"
I mean dude definitely isn’t a body builder but he definitely looks fit
13:05 "keep resisting, keep resisting"
editor: top 10 quotes an officer will never say
I have to scientifically analyze everything will says to make sure it’s not a dirty joke
Or rather, that it is in fact a dirty joke XD
Playing a track from Halo while Will was basically in a cryotube from the games was a nice touch, hats off to the editor lol
Thanks bruh (Editor)
the time under tension from that one machine is insane. its like the ultimately optimized resistance bands.
time under tension is not a key factor. mechanical tension is.
@@liftingdawg What do you think time under tension is.
More like an optimized pneumatic exercise machine. They used to be more popular in the early 80’s when all sorts of “inventors” came out with new and various exercise equipment and methods.
@@mikehawk1441what r u even asking?
Yes, you can't use momentum like you can with weights, etc. Even when you're not trying to, your velocity when lifting isn't constant, so you get "micro rests". Here your muscles are on all the time
Some of this stuff seems legit, but then i'm brought back to reality with other parts that are blatantly total bullshit lol
I love how Will just manages to authentically connect with anyone in a short time 😂 dude has such charisma making him fun to be around
Man i actually want to try that full body workout resistance machine so badly. I feel like that would be a lot of fun.
Same men i would love to know if it actually is effective XD
surprisingly it's only 10K
Me too. I wanna go there.

THIS thank you for having a brain
Comes from hard work n dedication babyyyyyy
Least there are some people out there that still have a brain! Thank yooou!!!
What about steroids
Exactly. Throw your money at peds
This was really interesting! I’d love to hear your opinion on it a few days after filming. Like how sore you were and the recovery time, as well as how you think this stuff compares to traditional training in the gym results-wise
Same. Great vid!
I'm also curious about this. From what we know, stretch mediated hypertrophy is much better for muscle growth rather than static holds even if the hold does give a pump.
@@242proPRODUCTUONSOnly some muscles, this is being repeated too much. Not all muscles benefit from it.
@@242proPRODUCTUONSTrue, but he also wasn't doing holds, the machine WAS moving
What do you think? He can't shit talk it or they gonna (try) to remove the video and he won't get invited by companies anymore. Couple gimmicks, nothing more
Hey Will, great videos as always. In the last 2 years I went from 180kg to 83kg and am now working on building muscle and your videos are a huge help and fun to watch.
Damn man. Your a real g for that
Outstanding! Congratulations. Stay on the path and live a long healthy life. - Cheers
I was already skeptical from the beginning about the effectiveness of this type of workout, and when the dude brought up the essential oils I was like "Yeah! This is definitely a scam".
I was like "I can see some aspects that are useful" then they got to the bio charger.....
The guy did say they were just to calm him down to be fair. Don't know how I feel about some of the stuff shown but man those workout machines looked like they work and will had a crazy pump
@@noncog1 I was cringing so hard.
@@KyleMck It's fair though, but think about it, you can do the same stuff at a decent gym.
Facts , plus that brain thing had me in tears.@@noncog1
I've had the thought that like, an adaptive weight that could always make you max out your effort but changing how much your pushing/pulling would be cool, and they did it! Real neat to see, great vid.
Can tonal do that?
thanks for making this informative stuff so consistently lately
Glad you like the videos!
@@WillTennysonhi will
@WillTennyson where was this at?
The monkey sounds during the bike session made me cackle maniacally
For some reason, I would love to see Dr.Mike going through these.
He'd actually have the balls to call out pseudoscience.
"we are electric beings, we need electricity to recover." Imagine the thousands of years humans were unable to recover before
@@jannachapman55 its not pseudoscience to maximize your every rep, but spending only 15 mins per week or even day compared to an hour daily in the gym will definitely build a loser compared to the person who goes to the gym.
@@casperkoivisto487no but most of these "devices" in this "lab" are 100 pseudoscience and don't do anything.
@@casperkoivisto487 all this stuff is bullshit and only works on untrained individuals
great video showcasing all of this, sad that the facilities are just a big scam for the most part, given, building muscle is the goal
I love your Sunday videos over other media platforms! I love to learn something!
Will isn't a fitness influencer, he is a scientific social experiment! That's why we love him! LOL
😂😂
From what I saw I think maybe the strength training machine has the most potential, but I would say you should do it more than once a week
I thought the same thing. The bike is just a bike with a science based (hopefully) intensity pattern you could follow yourself, not sure about the second machine, the vac machine you aren't in anywhere near long enough to trigger any adaptation, the constant force machine looks great to murder certain movements on twice a week, and I'd rather burn $18000 than buy a bio charger
It seems good if you subscribe to the HIT school, where you do high stimulus and high fatigue in short sessions but needs lots of rest. It seems like the fatigue they'll create is off the charts. So recovery time will be greater than if you did a bunch of regular sets a couple times a week. Where the overall stimulus would be more. But the point of these hacker guys is to spend as little time as possible so you can pocket the extra free time.
@@krulidn I could believe fatigue is higher than normal training, although I’m not sure of course, but I find it very hard to believe that, what, 1.5 minutes of training for a muscle warrants 7 whole days of recovery, to me that sounds absurd. I would guess a 3 days would do the job, but then again I don’t know. Perhaps if you did more than one set per muscle I could understand the need for that amount of rest.
@@mfn1311I agree. You can definitely recover more quickly. But It depends on what your goals are. I think they only do 1 set per week because they're more interested in doing minimal gym work rather than maximizing muscle mass. Or finding out what's the minimum amount of work you can do while still making good progress. So to them, 1 more set is double the amount of time but you don't get double the amount of gains. Whereas most of us will take 20% more gains by doing an extra set or an additional workout per week.
I assume he’s doing it once a week to show how effective it is
Dude looked great!
this was so interesting to watch Will! I love how you're always introducing us to new things in the fitness world
My Dad used to lease a CVAC machine in Florida over a decade ago, it's incredible technology even by today's standards!

I was fighting my inner BS alarms for 17min and 40s but I almost died laughing at the glasses guy, standing next to a tesla coil with some floracent lamps around it.
I feel like Will has to be a huge Office fan based on the camera work and the facial expressions.
That 3rd machine looks like a suicide pod from Dignitas in Switzerland.
My bullshit detector is going off
Your logic detector must me malfunctioning lmaoooo there is a lot of science
@cage9876 I don't really see any
@@thodorisevangelakos taking the muscle to hypertrophy by the maximum amount of weight possible for each rep is very specific to the user where you can't half ass it.. makes a lot of sense to me!
@cage9876 yet maximal resistance on each rep hasn't be shown to be advantageous of hypertrophy in any study I'm aware of. Not to mention all the other bs

Donut King: Oh woah
14:30 you really got me there 😂
The biohax mashine seems pretty similar to Mike Mentzer style training. One set to failure per muscle per week. On the other hand the other lab seems ... well, let's say I am more than sceptical.
I was thinking the same. Mike was light years away in terms of fitness intelligence.
Hello, Will from the UK. Through your videos, I've started working out again in 2023. I go to the gym, swim and do pilates. I last swam 25 years ago! Pilates first time ever. Cheers, mate. Paul xxx.

That last machine looks sick, if that becomes mainstream that will revolutionize the fitness industry
Why would they taint that actually cool machine with all off these stupid voodoo rituals afterwards?
Will you should do a follow up video on how you feel after this. Or do it for a week and see if you have results!!
Their entire gimmick is you only do these once a week to save time. Just look at the guy running the place, that's your results. It's a really expensive way to do the minimum amount of cardio and weight management if you're already healthy.
It does not work, else you would see many rich folks jacked.
Mike Mentzer would have a heart attack seeing this
Thanks Will for getting me through this crazy day, when the in laws have decided to spring a surprise on us and have informed us that they are stopping for Christmas 😢😢
It's okay man, my in laws are coming new years day and staying a month. They are beyond fucking annoying and literally move places twice a year. Absolutely no financial or personal responsibility they account for aside from "being in the military" before is why they act so careless about their own lives.
"If I woke up tomorrow with my head sewn into the carpet I wouldn't be more surprised than I am right now."
14:34 🔥🔥💣💣🤯 i can’t stop reaching this ahahaha
that is like 12 minutes of actually being under tension, it is not like the guy's workout is 12 minutes. 12 minutes under tension is how most of us train in the gym
Bro that “wait a second” explosion 💥 part killed me 💀🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks Will for all of your workout tips! I've been seeing a lot of improvement on my muscles. Your video are very inspiring. Love these videos!
crazy seeing the arms and shoulders pop on the first curl at 16:00 that machine is something else
The machine part doing the chest is great, it basically is doing what your max is, it's not a set weight you need to keep doing, it's your max weight you can rep everytime
Everything else is like why you dont trust these
The eames chair and light up headphones really sold me on this gym routine
Yooooo Mr Tennyson

So basically Will showed us that Mike Mentzer style training is the best
Will is my inspiration to stay life long natty… keep up the great videos brother!
Bro your comment about there being no in between for the neanderthal got me so good lololol
Yooo they should have that arx machine in every gym. That was the most believable one out of everything shown.
Dude the random part where it exploded and you go flying is hilarious lol
Great video. A couple of the machines seemed really good and would be interesting to try. I wonder how effective that long time under tension machine would be in the long term. Looks amazing if it would actually lead to significant gains. I do wonder how much of this stuff is pseudo science though, especially the last 2.
I agree, but the time under tension machine reminds me of the old 80’s pneumatic exercise machines that used air pressure to create tension. It’s an updated modern version. Not to mention, it seems only good for bodybuilding and not athletic improvement as it doesn’t use anything related to movement patterns, resist gravity at any moment, or move the body through the three planes of motion. It also does not take into consideration moving objects through space, which uses supportive muscles to keep the body stable. It also reminds me of Rocky 4 during the training montage. Rocky is using the old school training, using nature, and real objects while Dolph Lundgren’s character is using the most updated modern machines.
@@taoist32 I remember the pneumatic type 'iso' etc, when in high school. I look at these as supplements to regular training, not a replacement. I agree with limited movement
it is not the same. A few sessions per month might be a great add to a routine, but the cost is over the top.
It's the first time I've heard someone say pull to Will and he had no come back. LMFAO!
That score line from the push & pull machine looks super cool! It kinda "game-ifies" working out.
It’s unreal how funny I find Will. Like yeah sure everyone says he’s funny, but I crack up and the phone hits my face in bed way too many times in under 5 minutes. God.
had an ARX at the last fitness studio i worked at and holy WOW it was amazing. as thet develop they’ll improve the types of workouts you can do i’m sure, but man is it dope

The bicep curl machine looks badass
That arthur jones reference at the bicep curls machine was elite. Didn't expect HIT to be used in this video.
It’s definitely more cardiovascular focused than strength. Except for the ARX thing
The arx thing is probably the only thing that actually works.
1:23 that voice recording 😆
been a while since i got such "scam" vibe so early.
It was cool seeing the 8 rep machines they look dope really pushing you to failure in 8 reps which is the perfect number to hit hypertrophy
That pod is giving me feelings of nostalgia and PTSD at the same time, like it looks like a space pod from Dragon Ball Z, but with Final Destination death vibes 😂😅
Also, 18:22 had me dying 🤣
Congrats man.
One of the best youtube creators is Will Tennyson
Thank you 🙏🏻
The Halo 2 music around 11:10 is a great touch. Like you're in an ODST drop pod lol
Always nice to see a fellow man of culture
Damn, imagine if - in a distant future - people could install machines like these inside their homes at a more affordable price and use on a daily basis to optimize their training, resting and meditation routines.
Obviously this wouldn't be cheap to buy, maintain and you'd need a lot of space if you wanted all of these machines inside your house.
Although those blindfold-like headphones seem to be very viable to obtain today, interesting.
I could see an ARX machine becoming substantially cheaper over time but they are quite expensive currently, I think market price for them is around 40k for a business and like 30-35k for a home use one depending on where you live.
Well... Even if they are viable and helpful, building the habit of meditation without any external help will make your meditating routine more flexible, since you wouldn't need any tools aside from your body.
@@chaotikkillerYou can buy one of these today? I thought they were only experimental machines, like prototypes.
@@Duuude. Nope you can buy them for your home, they don't display the price on their site but they're about 35k and a bit more in some places because of shipping and install AND they charge an annual software fee as well I believe.
LMFAO essential oils. I'm dying!
You do make very entertaining BB vlogs. You deserve the subs you have, well done Will!
haha, the Text written in Donuts at the end killed me haha! xD
Remember guys, if it sounds too good to be true… it probably is. Also, there aren’t any short cuts and if there were everyone would be taking them.
I mean, these "shortcuts" are absurdly expensive. These are toys for the rich. It might works its way down, eventually.
@@asmodeusr1578 if this stuff worked, then the high earning fitness influencers and professional athletes would be doing it. But they’re not

Your music choices for this video have been a banger
I have one question. If it allows you to get fit in no time, how is the guy working there not shredded at all ?
Ignoring the other part of your question, you're correct it's bullshit.
Being fit and shredded isn’t one and the same. Also who knows if this stuff works at all.
He's working at the place as a scientist, that doesn't mean he wants to, or is using the equipment frequently.
its easier and faster to build muscle yet the personal trainer still looks like a geek
