When the season started, i wrote a comment about rooting for Milano but saying that i knew Scandicci had the best roster. Come on, they have the best outside hitters from China and Belgium, the best blocker from Brazil, the best setter from Serbia, a gold olympic medalist from the USA and a rising star from Italy/Russia, plus a wonderful libero that doesn’t get enough praise, getting Parrocchiale from Milano was a gift. I’m so happy for Scandicci for getting through the finals in two matches and for winning the first final game. I really hope they win the whole thing. It’s gonna be challenging, of course, this is the second game Conegliano looses this season but i i know they can make it happen.
I agree especially on Parrocchiale. I've seen her live last week, and she is full of passion, life and technique. She brings happiness. Also a huge praise to Barbolini. Both Conegliano and Milano are somehow predictable, Scandicci is just unexpected... With that said, I am still rooting for Milano, finding in tonight's result a reason to hope there is still a chance for Milano in the final of the Champions League. Why? Milano is used to losing: Conegliano not really. And it could be a bit of a tense period for the players of Conegliano. Too much on the plate, and too many emotions (some players are leaving Conegliano). So all in all, I would say there is a 30% chance that Conegliano wins both the Italian League and the Champions League, a 40% that wins one of the two, and a 30% that loses both of them. Let's see: the next 3 weeks seem very exciting...
I knew that Coneg has the best team work and best setter that makes them champion for many seasons.

Absolutely, your analysis of Scandicci's roster was spot on! They truly have an incredible team with top talent from around the world. Unsurprisingly, they made it to the finals and won the first game. I'm also rooting for them and believe they have what it takes to win it all. It will be an exciting challenge, but I have faith in their abilities. Let's see how it all unfolds!
I'm team Scandicci and I agree with everything you've just said. But we cannot deny the fact that Conegliano has the best system and chemistry. Roster-wise, Coneg has the strongest middles in the competition (aside from the legendary Carol of Savino), the best Italian libero, the best passing outside hitters from the USA, best setter from Poland, and the monstrous Swedish superstar. Maja's sets aren't even as fast as Wolosz's and I think that's Coneg's edge here. Still, the win is much sweeter for Savino if they end up clinching the title. I believe Zhu Ting will step up in the next games; zhōng guó jiā yóu!
Games like these require a lot of physicallity and aggressive emotions, Herbots and Washington did this in this match. Zhu was targetted and played mostly as a floor defender but still scored some though not presented in this highlights. Overall it is very evenly matched, only breaks of the game that made one won. Most importantly, the nerve of steel of Scandicci was sublime!

Blockers in both teams are phenonmenal! The best hitters in the world find it difficult to get through even the middle fast hitters are often blocked. The defence of smashes on both teams is also outstanding. Best women's volleyball ever.

It is though the second loss in a week - they lost last week against Novara. But yes, I got the gist :-)
Bellissima partita tra due tra le più forti squadre al mondo. Che Scandicci fosse una squadra forte ed in salute lo testimoniano i 6 sets vinti con Milano in semifinale. Ieri sera, secondo me, è emerso evidentemente che la squadra è "solida" anche di testa. Era a un punto dal chiuderla nel quarto set e lo perdi ai vantaggi, sotto 8 a 4 al cambio campo del quinto, poi sotto 11 a 7 e se non ricordo male 13 a 8... non hanno mai mollato di un micromillimetro 💪 Grandissime!!
L'ultimo punto poi un capolavoro di squadra: sul primo attacco di Conegliano il muro tocca e Washington riesce a difendere una palla non facile che poi, sullo sviluppo dell'azione, Antropova ha il gran coraggio di attaccare da ferma mettendo in grande difficoltà Haak. Ma la vera giocata è stata, sempre secondo me, la decisione di Maja che blocca Alberti sulla palla staccata e luga alzata a Cook e non saltano a muro per non farsi usare e lasciano alla difesa il compito di recuperare un attacco sicuramente lungo. Poi ci ha pensato Britt a scaricare tutta la sua rabbia agonistica sulla buona alzata di Antropova! grandissima azione e degna conclusione di un match stellare. Sicuramente ci attendono altre grandi emozioni. Un applauso ad entramnbe le squadre 👏👏👏👏👏

lol put Zhu at her prime (meaning 2014,2015,2016,2017,2018,2019,2020) and maja 2018, and haak automatically look less threatening

Che dire GRANDISSIMA PARTITA! a mio avviso il più bel primo turno della finale dei Playoff di almeno degli ultimi quattro anni: altissimo livello di gioco, a un certo punto Scandicci sembrava quasi il Fener dello scorso anno, ma anche Conegliano il Vakif è sembrata una finale di Champions..., per stavolta scriverei inutile commentare la partita, ma andatevela a vedere su RaiPlay, parla da sola... insomma per me non ha vinto una squadra o l'altra: ha vinto lo spettacolo della Pallavolo femminile ormai direi in chiave "moderna"...
Tornando per quanto possibile con i piedi per terra: la serie sarà ancora lunga, ma se il livello rimarrà questo sarà spettacolare: tanta roba...😅
What can I say GREAT GAME! in my opinion the best first round of the Playoff final of at least the last four years: very high level of play, at a certain point Scandicci almost looked like last year's Fenher, but Conegliano Vakif also looked like a Champions League final.. ., for this time I would write it useless to comment on the match, but go and see it on RaiPlay, it speaks for itself... in short for me one team or the other didn't win: the show of women's volleyball has now won, I would say in a "modern" way ...
Coming back down to earth as much as possible: the series will still be long, but if the level remains this level it will be spectacular: lots of stuff...😅

Partita bellissima e incerta fino all'ultimo, degna di una finale scudetto. Anche Santarelli ha detto che è stata una delle più belle degli ultimi anni. Scandicci ha avuto la possibilità di chiuderla nel quarto set e poi si è trovata sotto 12 a 8 nel tie break, quando è entrata Washington.
Oh, salve, eravate qui, non vi avevo visti o mi sarei accodato.
Grandi emozioni per 2 ore e mezzo, direi.

Someone said that the 13-8 at 5th set serve by Plummer was in. I tried watching the reply and put it in slow-mo/zoom but the ball was covered by Zhu Ting. People in the audience were shouting that it was in.
I think Santarelli didn't challenge it because 13-9 was already a good position. 😢
They played at home, ofc the people in the audience will say that it was in

The vnl is Coming..i think zhu ting is more deadly when she gets a good setter like the team china setter..she has no connections with maja…usually she got sets that is not good from maja..and ofcourse she improves alot in defending at the back…shes is a total package than to any other player

Scandicci'nim Cev cup'ta Eczacıbaşına yenilmesi sürpriz olmuştu. Neticede Milano ve İmoco final oynayacaklar. Ama ligde Scandicci kupayı alırsa güzel olacak. Bu sene Antropovanın yılı olacak demiştim. Çok formda ve harika oynuyor. İtalya ligi geçen sene Türkiye Voleybol Liginin kopyası oldu. Eczacıbaşı , Vakıfbank ile Cev Cupta İtalya'da final oynamış Türkiye Lig kupasını ise Fenerbahçe kazanmıştı.

I veri complimenti ai telecronisti li ha fatti un Giornalista Professionista, Docente di Tecniche della Comunicazione, che ho costretto a vedere la partita con me, adescandolo subdolamente 🍾.
Era il suo primo match completo di VB e si è dichiarato entusiasta della telecronaca, dell'affiatamento, del tempismo nel porgersi le battute tra i due. E, se lo dice lui...
Entusiasta anche del risultato: non potendo brindare col previsto 🍾DOCG, si è dovuto "accontentare" di un pregiato e raro Pigato di Albenga.

O que mata no Scandicci é essa líbero e a levantadora Maja, gente ela não sabe levantar bola pra Zhu e para Antropova, ela só acerta levantamento para Herbots.
O time jogou com passe B praticamente o jogo inteiro. O saque do Conegliano macetou as ponteiras. As centrais quase não atacaram e ficavam perdidas pelo jogo acelerado da Wolosz. O resultado foi praticamente um milagre. E mto se deve as inversões. A Washington correspondeu com o necessário nas defesas, tempo/ costas e negativa. O Santarelli pediu dois tempos e um desafio com os saques da Antropova no tie. Foi mto mais que sorte pro Scandicci.
Si comincia col botto e rumoroso pure. Una straordinaria Scandicci costringe la corazzata italiana al secondo crack in breve tempo.. la sfida tra opposte(se ha senso dirne) pende, per me, dalla parte di Haak, sempre incisiva, fa tanti punti e ne regala pochi, al contrario di Kate che mena tanto ma sbaglia moltissimo(occhio che non voglio dire che abbia fatto male, tutt'altro). A me stasera ha impressionato Lubian, implacabile ed essenziale dai 9 metri ed utile in attacco, favolosa😍. Le centrali di Scandicci, in tre, hanno fatto meno punti della coppia di MB di Conegliano(e però Washington si impenna quando serve). Se posso dire, a Conegliano stasera è mancata la solita Robinson, che pure fa il suo ma la coppia di bande di Scandicci è, nel complesso, più determinante..e già: c'è Herbots (colei che quest'anno, per me..insomma...)la quale parte male, non incide ma poi, nel proseguo fa la differenza: chirurgica nei momenti top, chiude guardacaso la partita con un taglio pazzesco, un colpo superbo e non facile da piazzare, chapeou! Meritato, Scandicci..pienamente meritato👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
per me il punto di forza di conegliano non è la Haak ma la Wolosz...ho visto fare molti punti dalla Haak senza muro (o quasi) avversario...e quello è merito della Wolosz (e dell'allenatore). la Antropova ha fatto molta più fatica perchè spesso contro un muro già piazzato e a volte anche a 3.
infatti Imoco ha fatto il doppio dei muri (14-7)
rimane il fatto che per me la Haak è più forte della Antropova.
@@maxros8102ci mancherebbe, certo: lei è forse la n.1 al mondo nel suo ruolo. Haak però è una a cui ho visto variare molto i colpi, padroneggiandoli più della Kate che deve maturare ma che, buon per noi italiani, ha stoffa da cucire.
Herbots è un po' come Parrocchiale. Ha un cuore enorme. E, nonostante qualche calo, entrambe ci sono nei momenti decisivi. Barbolini ha fatto un capolavoro: Washington e Nwakalor e Carol entrate in modo completamente diverso rispetto alla semifinale contro Milano, Antropova su Haak nei momenti dove i punti contano... Insomma: ottimo Barbolini (riscatto completato), incredible Ognjenović (questa donna ha 39 anni e gioca da 20enne), solida Antropova, Zhu Ting tornata (che felicità!) e un team che si vuole bene. E su questo torno a Herbots e Parrocchiale. Rimango un fan del Vero Volley Milano, ma son felice per Scandicci e per le emozioni delle prossime settimane.
la haak ha sbagliato la palla decisiva del match Point mandandola di poco fuori. Errore pesantissimo, chissà se graverà nell'assegnazione dello scudetto...
@@maxros8102 tra Haak (1999) e Antropova (2003) ci sono 4 anni di differenza, la svedese ha tanta esperienza in più. Ekaterina migliora anno dopo anno, secondo me questo è il suo primo campionato da top player.

i think there is no difference between velasco and mazzanti... whether it is egonu or kate playing,NT italy's strength will not increase.unless they play egonu and kate together like karakurt and vargas..

Antropova è ormai l'opposta migliore al mondo, in Cev è stata sfortunata con l'eczecibaşi dopo aver battuto Boskovic due volte ai gironi di andata, ormai la Cev va a Conegliano. Per il resto un treno, quando va in battuta le avversarie tremano!
Mi spiace che in Nazionale, Velasco la metterà in panca dietro Egonu, sarebbe almeno da provare in posto 4, e, al turno in battuta, avremmo Egonu e Antropova.....
@@blupampurio5995 no, in posto 4 metterei Gennari al posto di sylla, che sia in nazionale che in campionato è totalmente irrilevante in battuta e schiacciata, oltre ad avere un ricezione pessima. Come opposto Antropova deve giocare titolare, se la federazione dopo un simile campionato dove ha sovrastato Egonu, deciderà di tenerla in panchina, allora perderemo l'ennesima vnl.
Poi non potranno fare altro che mettere Antropova titolare, ha ventun'anni e una carriera gigantesca davanti a sé, Egonu ormai è in evidente declino.
Credo che Velasco comunque abbia già cambiato idea dopo che Milano ha perso 6 a 0 con Scandicci e non andrà in finale. Scandicci ha vinto la prima gara della finale, se vince il campionato Antropova sarà sicuramente titolare, ma credo che ormai lo sarà comunque.

@@jy3754 Plummer has 6 errors on 36 receptions, Robinson 5 errors on 26, Zhu 4 on 27, Herbots 2 on 20.
Both Plummer and Robinson suffered a lot from Antropova's serve, Zhu especially suffered from Haak's serve.
However, Plummer and Robinson have more ++ and + receptions than Zhu. Herbots was excellent in reception. Plummer also had good reception, the errors are more than compensated by 50% excellent attacks and 36% efficiency. Plummer and Zhu were blocked 3 times each, Robinson 2 times, Herbots 4 times.
Overall, all four OHs played at a very high level, but strangely everyone only mentions three and only I mentioned the fourth...

Zhu didn't play well in this match in terms of her offense. Good thing Herbotts stepped up and Antropova didn't lose her rhythm all through out.
Zhu is the highest scorer of all OHs in this match and she could've scored more if Imoco didn't overload her for receive. She did well.
@@jay-nz4zw i agree. but her attack percentage wasnt that great. she's obviously tired in 4th and 5th set and it showed in her spiking approach. and also, conegliano's blockers were all eyes on her. more than antropova i believe
The Imoco team was afraid of zhuting's form, so they chose to block Zhuting's form, so she didn't fully play, and the setter (sca) set for Zhuting was not good.
