I've had my Purple pillow close to 5 years now, the original or first release. It has actually gotten harder to sleep with. It feels like the material has hardened a bit. I wake up sometimes with really sore ears and sometimes with neck pain. I am currently on the hunt for a new pillow.

i got the purple harmony tall standard and the pillow cube side pro, side kick and knee pillow. they are AMAZING. the pillow cube is so great i havent had neck pains waking up in two years. im going to get the pillow in this vid with four boosters to make a Purple Pillow cube . being that im a side sleeper im not purposely trying to collapse my pillows lol
Haha that is awesome. You know, to be honest, SINCE this video I have gone back to my Purple and use it everyday. I love it. I always go back to it and it feels like the day I bought it (although the color has faded). I was tempted to make another video about it since it is standing the test of time. I use a body pillow for between my elbows and knees as I too am a side sleeper. But with this purple pillow, I don't use any of the boosters as I find the size on it's own feels right for my alignment.. Did you try those purple products somewhere first or just take a chance ordering them all online? Also out of curiosity, what mattress do you use?

I got a harmony pillow a few days ago and woke up first night at 2am with horrible lower back pain. still wearing off after 3 days and the previous 2 nights, I've gone back to my trusty goose down pillow but once the pain is totally gone, I'm going to give it another shot to see if maybe I just happened to fall asleep in a weird position or if it's actually the pillow. If it's the pillow, my next in line to try is the Saatva Latex pillow. Yes these pillows can be expensive but I've had my tempurpedic pillow for over 12 years and my down pillow for at least that long also (I keep the tempurpedic pillow on my side because I like to roll over onto a body pillow). These things are expected to be decade long products that you use for over 1/3 of your entire day. If someone could come along and offer me the greatest pillow ever made, literally any dollar amount could come out of their mouth and I'd pay it.

They sure last. I will be very curious to hear what happens with your harmony one. How do you find the height of it etc? I personally think the pillow needs to compliment whatever type of mattress you have as well. Something to be mindful of... some pillows might lose their structure on a soft mattress.
@@TheSAHDLifewe’re on a tempurpedic mattress. I have spondylolthesis in my lower back L5 vertibrae and upgrading to that from a sealey was a MASSIVE quality of life improvement. Anyways, I’m 2 more nights and 1 nap into the medium height Harmony and it’s fine but the lower height one should arrive in a couple days and I feel like I’m going to like that more. I’m intrigued by the OG purple pillow but may need to find a local showroom to try it out. It just looks SO different and weird that your gut reaction is that there’s no way they’re serious but I’ve now read tons of comments on TH-cam and Reddit of people swearing by them but also the opposite.
@@FastRedPonyCar You know what's funny is we have a spare og Purple pillow since my wife prefers her latex, so when we have guests over I always let them try it and I would say about 50% of them absolutely LOVE it. lol. In most of my reviews on my channel I try and take a stance on a product but with this product it just seemed to risky to say it's good and everyone should have it. Also I don't use any of the risers, I love it as short as possible. Every time in life when I've bought a medium or tall pillow I regret it. I'll be curious about that lower Harmony one.

I've got one on the way HAHAHA. who knows I may like it more than the Harmony. The down pillow I've been on for over a decade is really low so maybe the purple will feel "right"?? I do have a question though. Have you tried sandwiching the main squishy part in between the two risers or put one riser on the top so your head isn't on the purple grid? I'm curious how that would change the feel or performance.

Wow really? I have had mine for, gosh, close to 4 years now? To be fair I've probably only used it for 2.5 years of that but it mine hasn't flattened out. It has lost color though. Did you enjoy it for that time? Are you going to reach out to them? May as well...
@@TheSAHDLife I'm still using the pillow but decided to ask them about it, it's still springy on the other half I don't sleep on, so I turned it around but where my head has been just doesn't spring back anymore and I can feel my head settle in the dip. Still a pretty good pillow though.
@@lisaa.461 Let us know if they get back to you... a few companies have sent me pillows because of this review... I haven't found anything much better yet. Right now I'm using the Sydney Side Sleeper and it's quiet good! Better price too.
@@TheSAHDLife yeah they said since out of warranty period they can't do anything about my pillow. They did say softening of areas is normal over time. I just flipped it to the firmer side to sleep on. It still works fine and is a great pillow. 🙂
I like that this review just came out, I've had mine for years and I used to enjoy it but now it doesn't feel cool anymore. I like the flatness and support it gives me but I'm too used the cooling and how it bounces my head back. Does anyone have any suggestions besides getting another purple pillow? I don't like the bigger fluffy pillows anymore

I really like my latex pillow. It has slightly more give than the purple pillow but doesn't get hot like memory foam as it is full of little holes for air circulation.

Yeah it's still crazy high price for a pillow. I keep going back and forth with mine... years later it still is the exact same shape which is reassuring. Sometimes I really like it... but other times I miss being able to fluff up a pillow. I've never been able to fully endorse it but I like what they are doing over there. I'd like to try the mattress but can't bring myself to spend that kind of money!

My purple pillow is almost 2 years old but it has a divot in it now where my head rests. It flattened out and doesnt spring back anymore.
