G'day, I'm restoring a CS 3/1. I have a couple manuals from different periods but they don't seem to have specific details on the clearance tolerance between the piston face at top dead centre and the top of the cylinder block. I suppose i should be aiming for within a few thousandths of an inch, but no more than 8,000ths? Also, do you have any details on the shim that is supposed to be part of the bottom end? Last but not least, absolutely lovely restoration. It was a joy to watch all of the posts. I learned a lot, which gave me the push I needed to het it done. The compression tap is stuck and so is a busted gib key/stuck flywheel hub, but I'm determined to solve both boyh and have my CS up & runnung soon!
I like your fuel filter solution.
I'll copy that when I get access to a lathe.
Love from India ❤
