Born in 1991 in NH. Patriots fan for life. I would love McDaniels as OC again. What he accomplished for 2 decades with Brady and Mac Jones first year was amazing. He makes a great OC.. not a good head coach.
That team was a top 10 running team with over 2k in rushing yards. Mac didn't add much to it all he had to do was not turn the ball over. They didn't even have a receiver break 900 yards that year.
Look at all the talent Tomlin had and didn’t do any meaningful shit with it. It’s just the same thing every damn year with no signs of change. The definition of insanity.
No it's the same thing every year with change. They had one of the highest paid offenses in the league with Ben, AB, and Bell and didn't win shit. Now they have the highest paid defense in the league and still aren't winning in the playoffs.
What Tomlin has done is actually pretty remarkable if you consider what QB’s he’s had lol older Big Ben, Kenny Pickett, Russell Wilson. Put a top 5 QB on that team like Lamar or Josh Allen and they would be superbowl contenders imo
It should have happened last year but Kraft stupidly guaranteed a contract to a guy years in advance who had no real coaching experience outside of the organization he played for -- and he was only a LB coach for 5 years. Better late than never though. Patriots still have A TON of work to do and Kraft needs to start paying some motherfuckers.
Tomlin doesnt play to win, he plays not to lose. Dont turn the ball over and maybe you get a chance in the 4th qtr, and then in the playoffs you get blown out.
Belichick should have stayed as long as he wanted. Oke horrible 4-13 season was all it took? After wtaching this past season, at least in 2023 they were competitive in those losses.
People are trippin. The Steelers could always be the Jets or the Giants remember that. Only 1 team wins. Someone else comes in and you lose the culture y’all taking for granted. Look at the Colts. Everyone and they mama showing up late multiple times like it’s cool.
As a steelers, Tomlin isnt the problem cause 2021 and 2023 we shouldnt even had made the playoffs, but 2017 and 2020 we should have won a playoff game and even more. The thing is he that I’m not sure if he’s the solution in Pittsburgh. We had some bad rosters and he got us to 9 wins but we also had good teams example of 2011,2017, and 2020 and we didn’t do anything. Love coach Tomlin but there’s gonna have to be some scheme changes with his zone defense he runs every year.
If you watched any games when he was in Tennessee, Titans were punching above their weight given the roster that they have. That, plus game situation awareness, discipline, and toughness.. is perfect for what the Pats need right now. They need stability and culture.
So who should have been hired then? Who was the best candidate out there? Was it Ben Johnson? OC for two years with a loaded team of talent is a lock for McVay 2.0? Sure are a lot of failed McVay 2.0's in the last 5 years.

Alright now Taylor just needs to gain maybe 50+ lbs and we'll have our new left tackle for the next couple seasons.
100 lbs and some mental toughness.
He could go out there and play RT and would still be better than NPF
Patriot fan here, we are thrilled vrabel is back and ne needs to let him get some good players ....maye looks like a top ten qb soon with a o line
To be fair McDaniels has had a ton of success as a coordinator. Not so much as a head coach but as a coordinator and QB developer he’s top of the top.
He went to the playoffs with Tim Tebow.
That’s absolutely fair.
Dude made Mac jones look good
@@MikeVrabelINC Made him a Pro Bowler (substitution). That might be his greatest achievement.

Mike Vrabel has 10 receptions as a TE, every one was a TD.
He has 12 offensive TDs counting the playoffs
Josh McDaniels made Mac Jones a playoff QB his rookie year. Not sure why you think a guy with rings and an amazing record as OC would be a bad hire.
That team was a top 10 running team with over 2k in rushing yards. Mac didn't add much to it all he had to do was not turn the ball over. They didn't even have a receiver break 900 yards that year.
....and mac had 20 turnovers that season....also had a top 5 defense with the 2nd best pass defense.
I know it hurts Will to have to have the Hawkeyes helmet right over his shoulder..
Why is that there really??

BIG BEN WON HIM HIS ONLY SUPERBOWL.
HE SUCKS SO BAD AS A COACH. BUT I REALLY HOPE PITT KEEPS HIM. LOL
He cant develop a QB and has no coaching tree.
He basically inherited a HOF QB and a SB ready roster.
Hes a very good coach but not Great or Elite.

Bring Alex Ward on

I'm not mad about it.
I am not saying that Tomlin should be fired.
I am saying that Tomlin is WAY overrated.
Taylor was right w rams

Why not McDaniels? I would take him over most others. These guys are confusing josh the HC with josh the OC.
We don’t want Arthur Smith. I’ll take McDaniels any day over him.

He also needs to deal with diva players a lot better, but im not sure what’s going to happen with him
He doesn’t have an O line or any wide receivers in New England..
He’s got $130M in cap space to fix that though…
Arthur Smith is a trash OC
Tomlin is a DEI hire, Lewan is a woke weirdo.
Tomlin is a good coach
Tomlin is a great coach. He's one of the best in the league right now. TF are you talking about? And this is coming from a diehard Pats fan.
@@thatDUDEfromMAINE great* dudes coaches for like 18 years and never had a losing record.
Low tier rage bait
Hes not going to be any better then he was in Tenn. Mediocre. I don’t understand how people think he’s some sort of coaching wizard. He’s not.
