A legend in his own mind. This guy seems worse than the fake T.K Kirkland account claiming to have been responsible for, or a part of everything that’s ever happened. It’s Comical and not believable... Even his claim that in 1985 Black people weren’t allowed to walk through the front door of a party club someplace in Boston, yet he was cool with that and played his set with the band. Do any of you know ANY Black man that would have accepted that shit in 1985? Absolutely not believable! I don’t believe the Beastie Boys would have played their set either and allowed that. He wants legend status and pity at the same time!

The reason Vlad hasn’t been doing certain interviews recently like this one & The Fertuado Brothers is because ever since the Hip Hop community has been calling him out on his unwillingness to apologize to Farrakhan he has been losing subscribers and thus feels if he takes a back seat on the platform such as doing most interviews and instead allowing viewers to hear a Black voice asking the questions it may stop the bleeding a bit.

First... much respect for Doctor Dre. It is true he doesn't get the recognition he deserves...but really a signed business deal is a contract. Sounds like sour grapes and bad decisions. Second...when Rick started Def Jam he only wanted to be part of the music and leave the business side to Russell. Third, the Beastie Boys not getting paid was Russell's issue not Rick. There is a reason Rick left Def Jam. Lastly, and if you watch the Beastie Boys Story (documentary on Apple TV) you'll see that Russell address his mistakes with the Beastie Boys...“For years i wished i had been more sensitive smarter and compassionate in my dealings with them". Those are the facts...✌️

Artists are independent contractors. It's not the responsibility of the label head to "take care of artists". You sign contracts and that's how you get paid. That's the way the music industry operates and has for decades going back to blues and rock n roll. Not saying it's right but it is what it is and artists need to educate themselves on the business. It's a broken business model but it is what it is.
