Same here. I had that happened to me when I converted Harbor Freight carport to chicken run/coop. I installed a header beam, 2x6 to make the end walls. One end slipped and knocked me on the noggin. I wasn't knocked out but my head ached so much.

I Pray Nugget Gets A Baby Or Babies From His Nesting. That Is A Lot Of Eggs But It Sure Seems He Has The Space Of Keeping Them All Warm. They May Have A “Bird Brain” But They Are Smart With Their Own Nurturing Skills.

I think you would be better to put huge eye hooks into the tree directly, it won’t hurt it. As long as you don’t strip the tree of bark around it, putting in large eye bolts won’t hurt. That board can come down and smack you on the head. Watch what they do for tree houses, they put large bolt like things directly in the tree. Brooke that being said, I do love how you don’t ask for help, you just do it. I am still impressed at you cutting that board and making room for the fridge in the egg place. We do it, if we make a mistake we learn from it and move on, without trying something, nothing is accomplished!

Wow. I'd never have guessed that all 4 bolts would have sheered off. I'd have thought the hooks have pulled out of the wood before that happened. I'm glad you and Kip are ok.
Years ago there was a faster company in Maryland that sold all manner of fastners that were flawed, substandard. The company lied about the testing results. What is scary is that they sold fsstners to the military, plane manufactures etc. I wonder if those bolts might have been old from that company or fastners from China. Obviously they were flawed and that's scary.
