I love your art! And know exactly how you feel! I go through the same thing! I think all artists go through this. You did the right thing though! Just stick with it. The muse will always eventually come back. 😁
Thank you for another lovely video! :D Something that may be worth considering about the new watercolours - I checked their website, and they don't seem to have any lightfast information available. Cotman watercolours do, so you're probably safer sticking to those (or the WN pro range, which are much juicer than Cotman) if you do any original artwork for clients that might go on peoples' walls and be at risk of fading. The new ones look great for prints and sketchbook work though, very pretty colours. Good luck with your final year at uni, and I hope that the art block stays away! I can't imagine you doing a bad painting, your work is lovely
Perhaps if you miss drawing insects you could think about how big the little flower people are in relation to normal insects: like is a ladybug the size of a horse to them? Or more the size of a Labrador? You could come up with some really playful ways for the different creatures to interact with each other and the size ratios could be fun to experiment with :)
Best of luck with your final year of uni! It's such a wonderful time, so make sure you take time to soak it all up and enjoy it. Don't feel pressure to make content - make sure you take time for yourself to relax and unwind. I absolutely adore your new characters and would definitely buy them as stickers if you ever released them :)

This is kind of off topic but can you tell us which brand of sketchbook you are using? I'm struggling finding one that it's not that expensive but handles watercolors and other media.

It's nice to know that it happens to other artists, because social media can make it look like its easy to make lots of art, which makes you just feel like more of a failure when you can't.
