War in Bosnia was not a civil war. War that other countries take part in is not civil war, it was planned aggression of Serbia and partly Croatia on Bosnia. Another thing is that most of Bosnian Serbs and Bosnian Croats chose sides of the aggressors. A lot of Bosnian Serbs and Bosnian Croats fought alongside Bosniaks in resistance - defending their country within legal Bosnian Army that won thankfully. Even Croat and Serb leaders that chose to organize resistance in favour of preserving Bosnia were eliminated by their own people from Croatia and Serbia. Marko Kraljevic was one obvious example, eliminated by Croats led by Tudjman, Mate Boban etc.
I would like to point out there was no Bosnian army to join up at the start of the war in 1992 in Bosnia. The Bosnian muslims in Sarajevo just had the police and some criminal groups defending Sarajevo. In the rest of the country the Bosnian Croats took matters into their own hands because they could see no one was going to help them from Serbian attack. Later when the Army of Bosnia was formed it included muslim extremists from the international ""Bosnian mujahideen"" or "El Mudžahid" brigade.
