Just about any MIDI controller will work. The AKAI LPD8 is a pretty good way to go. It's only got 8 pads, but it also only costs ~$60. The buttons also light up to show you how many clips are available in the current song - and whether one is playing. The pad controller that I use in the video is the Arturia Beatstep. It's really nice - with lots of light-up buttons. However, it costs ~$120, so you're getting in range of the price of the Elgato Stream Deck. Other than those, you could go with the Korg NanoPad (16 pads - but doesn't light up), or the Korg NanoKey (tiny little piano-style MIDI keyboard), both of which are about $55.
amazing exactly what I needed, and excellent video, can't wait to set it up!
This is actually perfect because I don't have a projector. I'll hook this up asap.
lmao
I need a cheap controller for changing the videos. What is your recommendations? It's going to be years before I get a Elgato!
