  • Second Beach Camping La Push Washington - Family Backpacking Trip - Olympic National Park - Amazing
We took a trip to Olympic National Park and decided to go ahead and backpacking into the beautiful Second Beach near La Push Washington. The hike was fairly simple and only about a mile, so its great for families with smaller children. The beach was incredible and completely worth it.
There you will experience tide pools and many different places to explore. You can hike behind the huge stacks or you can go explore the tide pools that are filled with really neat critters.
Starting a fire as it gets dark next to the sound of the incoming tide was truly a unique experience that I was to have again some day. The kids had so much fun and we didn't have any cell phone service!
Remember to get your permits before planning a backpacking trip. You can get more information below.

Nice! What time of year was this? Thinking about getting permit for this one in October but wondering how high the tides come to where you set up tents?!
