Ian Gillan (Deep Purple), Jon Lord (Deep Purple), Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Nico McBrain (Iron Maiden) and Jason Newsted (Metallica). Solid song and performance.

Another "Black Purple" song. Check out Born Again. Ian Gillan replaced Dio as the lead singer for Sabbath for one record before reuniting with the classic Deep Purple lineup in the mid 80's.
That’s Ian Gillan the lead singer of Deep Purple singing same Ian Gillan who sang Smoke On The Water, Child In Time and Highway Star and he’s still together with Deep Purple
You and me both, my friend. And I consider myself a decent Deep Purple fan (and Metallica and Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, etc.). I hang my head in shame. But then I pick my head back up again in excitement to go find more of these tunes!!
I'd strongly recommend you check out the Iommi/Glenn Hughes bootleg - 8th Star later re-recorded as The DEP sessions..Hell, Black Sabbath's Seventh Star album is a masterpiece and 2005's Hughes/Iommi release - Fused - is outstanding.
Check the Ian Gillan rendition of the song "black sabbath" from Worcester '83 while he was in Black Sabbath...most scary vocals ever...Born Again and disturbing the priest studio tunes are fantastic too...
Please react to Black Sabbath Zero the Hero. On the Born again album. Ian Gillian is singing and a few years later Guns and Rose's ripped off the guitar riff for Paradise City.
You guy always recognize greatness!..If you ever wondered what Black Sabbath would sound like with a black female singer, check this song out..I promise you'll love it..From the album, Tony Iommi "Iommi" featuring the model, DJ, Deborah Anne Dyer. AKA "Skin". The song is "Meat". th-cam.com/video/RrrJVatbdro/w-d-xo.html
There's also a Black Sabbath album with Ray Gillen as the vocalist. The deluxe version of Black Sabbath's Eternal Idol has 2 discs, a disc with Tony Martin as the vocalist and the other with Ray Gillen. Tony and Ray sing the same songs. Ray was the original vocalist for this album, but when he left the band Tony Martin took the reigns and that was the version released. Ray was a very talented vocalist. Unfortunately, he died at a very young age from Aids.
I'd never heard Ray was related to Ian before, actually just the opposite. Ray was born an raised in California and Ian was born and raised in Europe. I always did find it very coincidental that their careers seemed to overlap at times. Both were actually singers for Sabbath at one time or another but Ray's time never made it officially on album. You're 100% right on Badlands. They were truly underrated in the U.S. but Europe and Asia took them seriously and gave them much love. Ray and Jake E. Lee were fantastic together in Badlands and then John West (of Artension and Royal Hunt) took over after Ray's death and definitely did Ray more than proud. Ray and John are 2 of my all-time favorite vocalists. If you haven't heard them yet, you may want to check out Sun Red Sun (Ray's other band). They were also amazing. Ray's last works were done with them.
@@RedDawnRocker I could be wrong about Ray being Ian's brother. A friend of mine told me that back in the day and I just took his word for it. Lol Thanks for the heads up and thanks for the recommendation. I'll have to check out Sun Red Sun.
For some Tony Iommi that's not with Black Sabbath check out his self-titled solo album. Each song on the album features a different singer, one of which is Ozzie. The whole album is available on TH-cam. In particular, Phil Anselmo sings on the track "Time is Mine" th-cam.com/video/btkiZhPLzo8/w-d-xo.html
Holy shit, why haven’t I heard this before? What a sweet treat to my ears!
A Delicious tasting slice of Doom Metal.
@@shspurs1342 ¿Doom? Jajajajajajajajajaja!!!
Try to find "Holy Water" from same group

Ian Gillan was briefly in Black Sabbath, for the Born Again album, so he and Tony have previously worked together.
Ian Gillan (Deep Purple), Jon Lord (Deep Purple), Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Nico McBrain (Iron Maiden) and Jason Newsted (Metallica). Solid song and performance.
You forgot about the guy from HIM.
Jason Newsted on this song...hes not a member of Metallica jajaja hes leaves the band on 2001.... this is 2011

Awesome...such a little known song and it's fantastic. Glad to see it get some love!
So glad to find out about this. Stuff like this is what reaction channels are all about (IMO).
Ian Gillian also made an album with Black Sabbath after Mob Rules, Dio left, and they picked up Ian to make the under appreciated album Born Again
Born Again, Zero The Hero and Trashed are my faves from that album.
_Gillan_ not _Gillian_ 😁👍
Organ playing and guitar playing sounded like an almost perfect match.
So many legends on this track
Now that's a super group, great reaction my friends ❤️☮️🔥 TaTa.

Wow! This was fantastic! Thanks for bringing this to us!! 👍👏
I loved it, never heard it before
Thank you two! It's definitely a deep, rocking cut. Power chords
There was also the late Jon Lord was playing keys on this song.

also with Buried Alive and Sins of the Father
I agree with you. Glenn Hughes voice seems to be a better fit for Iommi playing.

Ever time I hear this song. It always sound like Gillian is doing his best Glenn Hughes impression.
Jason Newsted’s bucketlist: play with Rock gods - check ✅
Another track off that CD is Holy Water. Has a long Egyptian style intro before the beat drops, but very good.
Got to do more black Sabbath. Like disturbing the priest, Trashed or zero the hero.
great song

Slash admitted it in his book, never picked up on it until then though.
I love this song....Tony should have saved this song for Sabbath !!!
Naaaaa....!!! Tony should have saved songs from 1983 and the Tony Martin era...hes dont want it
