Thank you so much for your content. Sometimes I watch your videos just because of you talking. It’s always inspiring. I am a producer based in Germany. I own a recording studio and must say, that the key 37 is a blessing. It gives me enough freedom to work wherever I want and still have most of all the tools I need. That is perfect for staying creative and getting away from the big screen, which always has something none music related popping up 😂

If I didn't already have a Live and a One+ I'd get the 37 key. And yes, the Mini D is badass! Good points made on all of the units.
I got my mpc live 2 back in 2020 and learning something new about it till this day .example the aftertouch on the pads and writing in pitch bend automation basically can be used like and mpe keyboard with the right setup I've been experimenting having fun with this . I used my mpc live 2 more then my key 61 im waiting for stems to drop for standalone to start back using my key 61 stay safe n blessed all 🫡👍🏾🫡🙏🏾🙌🏽
I would say live 2. Speakers and battery. Also has the ability to play keys thru pads so that's my pick.

I had to decide between the Key 37 and the One Plus. I went with the One Plus because I don't need another keyboard. I love it so far. Crazy how small yet powerful it is. Just got mine 3 days ago
No new Mpc can hold a candle to the Live 2.
The built-in battery, the speakers, the mobility make it a real standalone. Whether at home, on the balcony, in the garden or on the beach. It's a dream sent by the gods

For some reason I don't really use the pads on the 37 so much as I am loving the keys. But when I'm region chopping I pad it. I have no complaints. It is very user friendly. Track mutes get used frequently which is something I never used on the One. Stems has changed my whole experience. Songs I could never sample because of elements unwanted were in the way are now removable.
Hi and thanks for your video. I would like to enter the MPC universe and am faced with the decision of which MPC to buy. What are the technical differences between Live and Key 37? In terms of RAM & processor. And which plugins/instruments are supplied with each? I first wanted to buy the Key 37, but now I'm wavering about the Live. It's more robust, bigger pads...and I can connect any keyboard. Not so easy to decide which MPC to start with...
Thanks for your point of view. it's very interesting. I've got a MPC one, and a few months later, come the MPC one + and the MPC Keys. But What i like in the MPC one is the interface, it's more practical for me. i used usb compliant to plug a Zoom R16 and have more input. But I know today, it's very usefiul to have more outputs, to send your signal and recapture it after having some pedals to add texture, as you say. And I like the CV/gate plug to use with my semi-modular synth. And now, I'm used to my little MPC one that i won't leave ! :^)) I discover Jae Freshman and it's cool that you talk of this video, they're very interesting. And a last thing, I love the beat on each chapter on your vid, do you create these from sample ? Take care.
Yo, thank you so much for this input and I completely agree in regards to the layout of the MPC 1, it has everything right at your fingertips without having to do too much men diving which is why I’ve been using that one so much on my latest videos lol. If they had full size pads on the One and Keys it would be great
None are best. What matters is what is best for you. That answer is as individualistic as each user. As a user of the One, Live II, and Key 61, they are all better for specific use cases, thus I still use them all.
If I could only own one, it would be the Live II although I use the Key 61 the most.

No doubt, I don’t think I’ve taken in my MPC’s out of My Home other than two trips I’ve made last year so portability is not too much of a concern for me, but I completely get other people as they wanna unplug and use the live around their home, which is something I do quite often, especially having a daughter lol

As far as portability i took it to the park a few times but it's a robbery waiting to happen, the thing is super heavy to just casually have in a backpack or resting on your lap, hard to menu dive in the glare of the sun, im sure there are better places and ways to jam with it tho like a backyard porch area, but i never ended up utilizing it's portability.
The Mpc Studio Mk 2 has large pads too. , but it's just a controller.
The long forgotten studio MK two lol I actually wanted to do a video on this unit since I feel it’s underrated and really shoots up its value specially now what they’re doing with stems separation integrated within the software

what's the use of a key 37? if it's to stay in a studio, better to pick up a full range midi keyboard and a One...few more bucks to pick a live II and you have: full size pads, portabilty, more in and outs, ssd...now just offer to this device a pretty midi keyboard then this live II can plug in your home studio as soon as you're back from your day out. No way: live II is the best choice...Now, if we're talking about studio device, the X get all those Q links with oled...damn, this is the studio MPC ( I don't have)...Anyway to my mind the Key 37 is an unusefull MPC but a commercial cliffhanger . They should had work on the OS instead of developing this device.
If you are a home musician and want to jam out from time to time, the mpc key37 allows you to have everything in one place. If you don't want to have a lot of junk, this is the equipment for you.

The Mpc 37 is dope for portability & the only thing it’s missing is a battery but you can get up move around with it for sure … it sold out for a reason … it’s all u need

I like having everything right there and not great at keys yet. I wish it had the bigger pads but I think I’ll be all right :). Thanks for all your great content helping me to make my decision 👊

Great video! I've been watching more and more of your videos. Your articulate the information very well! I've had my mpc one for just about a year and when I first got it. I was super frustrated because I was trying to use controller mode first and my Mac wasn't able to handle analog labs. Fast forward to 1-1-2024, I dedicated to only make beats and stop mixing and mastering and recording. Now I got that mpc on fire. I was a logic user for years making beats! The mpc is a beast. I even had an mpc ren but I didnt use it. Smh it was more for studio looks! Thanks for all you do!
The backlit buttons on the MPC Live II is it for me....I'm having a hard time reading the buttons on the MPC One in darker environments.
I have both, but always grab the Live II.
I heard a lot of bad comments about the MPC LIVE 2 (2020) about the quality control (double trigger pads, bad sensitivity pad to pad, not so good touch screen), the MPC One plus that is new could be better than the mpc live 2 if someone want to but one of this two because is new (better quality control). If you want big pads better to wait for a new device, i hope a new MPC LIVE 3.
Live 2 is the best, not even close.
i had an mpc live 2, the double triggering pads were one of the issues i had, still kept trying to use it, then just gave it away.

a distant relative was valhalla’d recently, so im inheriting some moneys. ok. what to buy? mpc one+ is like 600$? it has battery so i can jam while contemplating the future of the human race whilst dropping a deuce? sold. just started the video, fingers crossed i can use it with montage/modx+/fantom0… aka midi control features… fingers crossed. subbed. cheers.

@@bobbybrandnew3277 mpc live mk2. still debating with myself over modx+ or roland fantom0. probably modx+. for no,w just the live mk2 and yeah, satisfied with the purchase. too bad additional plugins cost way too much, but did manage to snag fabric collection for 130$ instead of 250$. now im hoping jura goes on sale as well because, believe you me, it sounds really, really good. but 150$ is ooof. but overall, its a great little product. and the battery aka possibility of just grabbing in and making music while taking a dump is really awesome. im also looking into digitakt 2 and oh how i wish it had a battery. anywho, cheers.
Malo please! Answer this...if i run MPC software on my laptop with the MPC ONE + as a controller, do i never have to touch the computer after its hooked up? Is it basically like standalone but with processing power of the laptop? Thx man!
Yeah! You have to touch the computer to fire up the software but after that you are off to the races. I wish I hadn’t slept on controller mode for so long. I bought into all the hate people had for using it with a computer.

I own the mpc one + and just purchased the mpc key37 but I’m running my mpc software I run standalone no more can I use the keys with the same software with all my plugins and get the plugins that come with the keys on that software?
