Many people eat it with a "Bratwurst"(the german sausage) or other meat, but I am a vegetarian, so I eat it often with potatoes because I love potatoes!!!
Its polish too bigos ,pierogi with sauerkraut and mushrooms and sauerkraut its added to fish dishes

Growing up in a German family in a fairly German area of Ontario, sauerkraut was a staple in our house. It's so weird to me that other people haven't tried it lol
Put or soak some Tempe in water containing slices of garlic and salt, then fry them.
