Thank you gentlemen for rightly dividing the Word of God. Without making a pastor a controversy you love them, encourage them to pursue their wayward child, then restore them to their ministry duties.

Pastors I generally agree. But if I may ask. Wasn't the Apostle John called 'the Elder' and I'm assuming as a single apostle had a leadership role in the church?

"The Lordship of Christ means the back of dad's head." So I'm listening to the Heroes of History series on Canon+ and it bothered the heck out of me learning about David Livingstone abandoning and neglecting his family repeatedly....

Are you suggesting that as a qualification father's must be sure they're children are converted?

Being mentored in Ministry. Oversight by multiple elders and a Pastor.

So what you are saying is that all pastors children must be born again. So that means that the future children of a serving pastor have the potential to disqualify him if God doesn't save them. Surely there is a distinction between obedient children (to their parents) and children that are born again believers.

For this reason I left you in Crete, that you would set in order what remains and appoint elders in every city as I directed you, namely, if any man is above reproach, the husband of one wife, *having children who believe,* not accused of dissipation or rebellion.
      - Titus 1:5-6
This is the verse they are referring to. There’s debate on what exactly “children who believe” means. Other translations say “faithful children,” but even then the meaning is not entirely clear.

I'm sorry to hear that. Your experience in my opinion would so valuable in a Pastor. God's Peace to you Brother.

@@gnc623 he was not a pastor? Lol what? The man laid down what pastors are and the doctrines for the church as a apostle……it’s unbelievable what you’ve said.

Im not 100% sure I get the laugh at the beginning about 3 years of graduate school for a pastor being a negative thing wish they would of said more about that
