  • Should Christians be concerned with justice in this world? There is a lot of talk about "social justice" these days (inside and outside of the church). By what standard should we engage in this discussion? Watch as Pastors Jeff Durbin and Douglas Wilson talk about this subject and speak about one of the premiere issues of injustice in our day. Go to the website in the video to be a part of the movement to end it.

Absolutely I’m teaching my children now that crying gets them nothing (well much more but it really boils down to this) Faith and facts is what’s matters the 10 commandments are what rules our home and words will get harder to stand behind. I took my daughter out of school for homeschooling last week she is 11. Children, teens and adults learn from an early age how to use those feeling to manipulate others. For example. Mom can I have some candy, no. Begins to cry.... I turn around and walk away. Minor.Major That person in church that is disabled because they don’t take care of themselves. Tells everyone every single one of their diagnosis and uses the fact that your “Christian” to give them a ride to church. Then they try to increase that and they run through everybody and take advantage and then every new person that comes along that falls victim to them. Every church has that person, every family has that person. Now these schools are creating little armies of them.
I have seen an 11 year throw a fit in public and get her way....why because it works on her parents. Whats that? good training on the kids part and not the parents part. Emotions are important as in if when you're walking down the streets and you see a man with a knife, fear makes you turn around. You ARE NOT to use a reflection of your emotions (real or fake) to get another person to do an action for you, thats manipulation and and fake use is witchcraft if you believe in the bible. And our youth are being taught to do it every day and in every way possible as if it should be accepted as normal practice. No communication in the beginning helps from miscommunication and drama. But we live in a land of emojis, no facial expressions, personal interact, or too much physical interaction creating way too many social issues. The better you're at it the more popular you are actually or pitied I would say. And unfortunately playing victim is also glamorous as well. Healthy emotions I am for, unbalanced and solely electronic based ones I am not.
People operate in nothing but their misguided feelings, 96% of issues are due to a misunderstanding on one or both sides. People are no longer using their words and facts to function like an adult. And then they get to a place that they cant even tolerate someone disagreeing with them without it physically hurting their "feelings". My father sits at home watch MSM and It’s like he joined JW. It’s really scary actually, he refuses to listen to me or research anything on anything other sites. Thats how they are now turning speech into hate speech and people needing safe spaces. Our colleges are filled with a bunch of toddlers that wont be able to function in the real world.
feelings vs emotions, are they the same? I’m actually thinking no because people like to say I FEEL a whole lot you can’t say really I emotion...right 😝 ? Now what people should be saying is....I think
......then speak their mind. But if they really thought about what they were saying they wouldn’t have any bearings. But see that’s what they are not doing thinking. Just because you feel a certain way doesn’t make you right and doesn’t make you wrong. I hear crack makes you feel really good, doesn’t mean you’re right to smoke it...
Now people that have unstable emotions to a point I truly feel this is because they have no foundation in faith. There is an agenda here with our youth and why our moral law has been demonized. We know who created ALL LAWS and when your own moral law is out of wack your physical laws, which includes your brain chemistry, would be out of wack as well. The enemy knows exactly what he’s doing and we must remember there is spiritual war going on well. Our hearts are actually made to condemn us and bring up all the bad stuff all time. Secular society has absolutely trained them to tag the feelings of convictions as “evil judgement “ just to burn off any remaining connections to Yahweh they have. Their conscious is being seared at an alarming rate and we must teach our children ourselves.
So many people live in pain and hurt because they don’t know God and their emotions and mind truly works, how he made us operate. There is a better way to run this ship. If society was so right we wouldn’t be where we are and do the research it went down hill the moment we took prayer out. Besides that, our hearts are deceitful and our brains are logical and all they say is trust your heart..no!. We always want a healthy balance when you are too emotional chemically and for you scientific folks, can’t even function logically. That’s what social media does, that’s what live your best life, don’t judge me, no rules or moral law, high emotions and high anxiety does.
Social justice warriors and constant miscommunications of dramas.....If you want peace in your life, don’t start and end your day on social media. Start it with a deep breath of gratitude 🙏 and thanksgiving for whatever you have. Happinesses and joy for air in your lungs. Your thoughts drive your emotions, your emotions drive your actions, your actions drive your life. Now social media aka PHONES is a collective of everyone’s jacked up emotions. Who wants that driving their life. Unplug enjoy the life around you don’t manipulate others. You do it more than think sometimes even to yourself.
Thanks for reading if you read this massive post. It’s from another discussion that fit so well to this video and then I added. All the Glory to Yahushua for he has taught me all

You have no idea how profoundly this comment touched my life. I am typing this with goosebumps after reading what you've written. I pulled all four of my boys out of public school three years ago and I am still spending every day fighting these same battles. Your advice to simply walk away in the beginning: THANK YOU. With four of them constantly needing something from me I get frazzled and lose perspective. I tend to forget, HEY, WAIT A SECOND. I AM THE ADULT HERE. YOU ARE THE CHILD. Being raised in a very dysfunctional and unloving house myself, I tend to revert back to not wanting my children to ever doubt that they are loved. My problem is remembering that getting your way is typically completely irregardless of whether or not you are loved. You're right. Children are masterful in their ability to discern what works and use it to their full advantage. But this comment you typed has empowered me to be masterful in my own ability to get the witchcraft of manipulation OUT of my home. Praise the Lord, and god bless you.

    • @Elrog3
      @Elrog3 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Anecdotal evidence is weak. And even if it weren't, that is a really bad argument anyways. If you meet an atheist who is richer than you, do you become an atheist? Clearly the amount of money a person or group has is completely unrelated to the truth or falsehood of their beliefs.

    • @karcharias811
      @karcharias811 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

@@Elrog3 I didn't say it has anything to do with money first of all. It has to do with the values of the people now living there. They have none. Murders, thefts, rapes all up. That is a moral problem not a money problem. If my analogy were confined to my own neighborhood you may have a point. However all of western civilization is coming apart and Islam is rushing into the vacuum. The road to rid the west of Christianity was begun well over a century ago. Now that the governments in place are completely bereft of Christian morality we have what was predicted. A collapse of society. The secularizers wanted the fruit of Christianity without the root, you can't have it. Now what are they getting in Europe? Islam. Times ahead are going to very tumultuous indeed unless there is a change back to the Lord and right quick. Oh and BTW the deaths, rapes and criminal acts that are now skyrocketing throughout Europe are they just weak anecdotes as well? Not so weak for the people experiencing them I should think.

I hope Pastor Jeff can comment on this:
I don’t necessarily disagree with what was said in this video. However, it doesn’t seem to me that the nations will obey if they first do not have their hearts transformed. And the only way hearts are transformed is through the preaching of the gospel and move of the Holy Spirit. So, while I don’t disagree we should preach obedience I think the main focus should be preaching the gospel because without the conversion of the heart obedience is not possible.

Christians, Biblical Christians, there is no word Calvinist in Scripture. Any Christian who identifies themselves by someone other then their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ they are being rebuked by God's word. 1 Corinthians 1:12-13. Jesus Christ is the one who was Crucified for our sins. Not Calvin, not
Arminius. Scripture is very clear regarding how a sinner is saved. We don't need Calvin nor Arminius to tell us how a soul is saved. There has been so much evil from people who fallow Calvin and those who fallow Arminius over centuries. And Satan and his demons are loving it why, because the followers of these to man have spoken against one another for centuries with hell fire tounge, and their tounge has set their course of life on fire, and is set on fire by hell according to James 3:6. All sin is against God. Satan loves to cause Christians to hate each other. All because of pride. That's the only reason these Christians try to prove each other wrong. They are not glorifying God one bit, although both groups because of their pride which is of the devil have deceived themselves thinking they are glorifying God. Unbelievable you would think that since they each claim superior knowledge of God, His Word, and His Gospel. They would be wise and not fall to Satan's diabolical schemes and deception. Like I said, God is going to rebuke them all for all the evil they have done and spoken with their hell fire tounge.

    Ten Commandments
1.You shall have no other gods before Me. (Have you always loved God above all else?)
2.You shall not make yourself an idol. (Have you made a god in your mind that you're more comfortable with, a god to suit yourself?)
3.You shall not take God's name in vain. (Have you ever used God's holy Name as a cuss word?)
4.Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy.
    5.Honor your father and mother.
(Do you honor my mother and father? Do youvalue them implicitly?)
    6. You shall not murder. (God considers hatred to be as murder, 1 John 3:15).
    7. You shall not commit adultery. ("Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart" Matthew 5:27-28; this also includes sex before marriage).
    8. You shall not steal. (Have you ever stolen anything? the value of the item is irrelevant).
    9. You shall not lie. (Have you lied even once? Including answering these questions).
    10. You shall not covet. (Have you ever jealously desired what belongs to others?)
James 2:10 says, “the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God’s laws.”
If you have done any of those things, God sees you as guilty of breaking His law and the Bible warns that the guilty will end up in Hell. Will YOU be guilty on Judgement Day?
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
God sent His Son to suffer and die on the cross. Jesus took the punishment upon Himself and defeated death on the cross; not because your Good but because God is rich in mercy.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
Jesus rose from the dead and defeated death. Repent (turn from sin) today
“He who covers his sins will not prosper,
But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy”
    Proverbs 28:13
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
    1 John 1:9
and trust in Jesus alone for eternal salvation and not in your own goodness and God will grant you everlasting life.
Then, Read the Bible and obey what you read.

    1) who says and why is god the arbiter of things?
    2) who says and why is “holiness” the mark of judging question #1?
    3) who says and why is an unchanging morality more compelling than a system that updates when it doesn’t work?
    4) Are the old covenant laws not based and describe literally how one was to act morally? Most of these laws seem to now be null and void?
    5) what in any of the world (aside from stuff like your love to appeal to laws of logic, which don’t really have anything to meaningfully say about morality) do you see that isn’t subject to change and revision besides your Aristotelian God?

This is a misunderstanding of the great commission passage in Matthew. The “teaching them to observe all things...” is parallel to “baptizing them...” and comes into effect after people are made disciples (i.e. are converted) among the nations. If you’re not willing to baptize unconverted Chinese people, then the command “to teach [China] to observe” is also not in effect.

Jesus also told Pilate that his kingdom was not earthly. The Jew stakeholders of his day couldn´t accept such a Messiah or phatom such a kingdom. Law enforcement is due to human misery and sin: in the best, it is a minor ill that may grant a minimum of injustice - social order, if you please - among people of a good will (christian or not), but it should by no means be taken for that justice meant by Jesus´s mount sermon. Christ and his church serve not as means to political ends. @@bop-ya-good So … you asserted that Jesus said he was not giving the great commission to us today. I just wanted the verse to where Jesus said this. In your reference to Matthew 15:24, Jesus does not say this. I wonder if you noticed that the Great Commission (see Matt. 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:46-47, and Acts 1:7-8) comes after His death, burial, and resurrection. His earthly ministry is done. He has already inaugurated the New Covenant (read the Book of Hebrews if you hadn’t heard of this before). Matthew 15:24 has nothing to do with this New Covenant or the Great Commission. What I wanted from you was a verse reference AFTER the Great Commission was given where Jesus said, “Nevermind. Don’t obey that Great Commission that I gave you. Don’t go to all the world and make disciples.” Obviously, you have no such verse. Strangely enough, when I started reading your response and you started with ‘rightly dividing the Word,’ I knew that no such verse was forthcoming and that I would get some heresy thereafter. And sure enough … that’s what I got. I do have one suggestion, though. Spend less time dividing the Word and more time reading the Word. It should be fairly obvious to just about anyone that Matthew 28 comes AFTER Matthew 15. AND … though you are correct that Jesus’ ministry was to Israel primarily, the Great Commission isn’t about Jesus’ earthly ministry, but about the Apostles’ ministry. Jesus was giving the Apostles their marching orders. The book of Acts show these same Apostles, and even their associates, obeying Jesus’ command. We need to obey Him too. Nowhere does He say that he was not giving the great commission to us today. And though I hesitate to ask, how exactly do you think Gentiles come through Israel to be saved? After all, that’s kinda true … in a way. Galatians 3 is all about Gentiles inheriting the blessings given to Abraham through faith in Jesus Christ. Verse 29 tells us plainly that if we are Christ’s, then we are Abraham’s seed and heirs to the promises given to him. And Romans 2:28-29 tell us that a Gentile can be a Jew inwardly, through a circumcision of the heart, rather than in the flesh. Hopefully, that’s what you meant: that we Gentiles enter into the blessings and promises of the Abrahamic covenant by becoming the seed of Abraham through faith in Jesus Christ. And that the New Covenant is much better than the old in that God writes his laws on our hearts and in our mind, making us a Jew inwardly (see both Hebrews 10:15-17 and Romans 2:28-29). At least, that’s what I hope you meant.

Point 2: Matthew 28 comes after Matthew 15 and after the inauguration of the New Covenant.
Point 3: The Great Commission has nothing to do with Jesus’ earthly ministry. So regardless of whom Jesus came to minister to, He has instructed the church to go into all the world and make disciples.

@@LeoRegum it was a very broad statement. As a Christian I want no abortion, no gays getting "married" protection from our enemies, etc. I want the government to obey God's laws. The closest political way to do that is the Republican party platform. Unfortunately we can't make non Christians obey all God's laws and we need to participate in politics as to support God's laws, so don't say I am not wanting Gods way when I don't have the most perfect options to choose from. What choice did Christians have between Hillary and Trump? We didn't. Can't at all voter for murderous Hillary, lying and treasonous Hillary. Can't vote for cussing, third marriage, womanizing billionaire either. Neither choice was good morally. Both choices actually show the condition of the hearts of the American people. After all our leaders represent us and we choose those with our values. Hillary and Trump say more about us than about them. However, Trump is trying to do something. He's not just making promises and then pushing paperwork pretending to do something. He's doing it and running the govt like a business. He's trying to be efficient. He's building the wall. He's standing against evil. He's made so much progress with North Korea. Those poor people there and persecuted Christians need him to continue. Pastor Jeff often makes fun of Trump. Neither are perfect, but we have to support what is going in the direction of good. Trump has a huge ship to turn around. He's largely done it, though much is still left to be done. He's also supported life in the womb as much as possible and more than any president. I hate that the pr-life cause is so slow. I wish we could pass a bill and ban abortion all together and I am all for working towards that goal. However, the process is important because hearts and minds need to be changed along the way, so that the law will be able to be defended upon challenge and obeyed in society. Isn't Jeff's whole theme, God's sovereignty? Trust God's process. Don't make too broad of a statement and hurt feelings of fellow believers who are trying to support the candidate that is trying to do right. Trump hasn't lived a righteous life, but he's trying to do so now. He's donating his salary, he's promoting life, he supports Israel, he is being a peacemaker, he's keeping his promises. He cusses and he's tough, but when you're dealing with dictators that's what you have to be, tough. They don't understand any other language. Yet Trump can be very caring. He let the little league world series champs fly on air force one. I saw that and I cried. It was so moving to see the President love on those boys by being so proud of them. What other president does that? There is so much good we can support with Trump. God definitely put him in office and yes we're all left of center, but support our president who is single handedly turning this ship aright and trust God's process and timing. Don't criticize fellow Christians just trying to support the righting of the ship. Help us to keep it going in the right direction.
