We got a great deal for Hideaway on Black Friday 2023 for our Sept 2024 Icon cruise, which is coming up! We’re so excited! We got it for like $34 or $38, can’t remember exactly. Very much looking forward to it!
I saw that deal floating around these past few weeks, too! Somewhere in the 30's I think! Crazy good deal. Have fun, it was probably our favorite part of the whole trip!!
LOVE Cococay - but have not yet been to their private beach (it wasn't open last time I went). It was funny to see how emotional Nicole got - lol. I've been on Anthem a number of times - I never realized how small it is compared to the big ships - WOW! When a pool is 'compromised' it usually means someone vomited (or worse) in the pool - YUCKO! I found the other beaches to be fine - and similar crowds. Honestly, I think that I would prefer the private beach, just for the adult crowd with no kids around (not that I hate children, lol). I won big on The Wheel of Fortune one time in Atlantic City - 4K! - paid for the whole trip and then some. You did right tho and walked away - I win and always walk. Great video - l like the cruise videos. Be well.
It's always crazy, because I went on trips a number of times growing up. But she never got to experience vacations much, and I think for her it's so crazy to be on a boat docked on an island in the middle of the ocean haha. I thought Anthem was Large, but once we got off the ship and saw them side by side, I was like oh... it's not quite as big. Could be the central park stuff and splitting the boat in half that adds size. I'd have to look at actual capacity comparison. We both REALLY liked the private beach. I think it's worth it if you can get it for a decent price. It was just entertaining, relaxing and no worries about any crazy kids running around. And I feel the same, I don't dislike children, but sometimes if you want to relax on a beach, you want things to be as chill as possible ha. I'd definitely recommend trying Hideaway on your next cruise, though! I'm always a wimp when it comes to casinos, I spend like NOTHING and hope to win big. But I think I just know you're always at such a disadvantage playing in a casino LOL. I think I've hit big on some Wheel of Fortunes a few times, so it seems like a good machine so far! I did want to try playing at Atlantis, but we didn't make our way out there.
All of coco cay is really nice and not run down at all. It’s a private island and the only people that live there are employees of Royal Caribbean. The oasis pool is really nice, and I think the beaches on other parts of the island are nicer than hideaway. Hideaway is great really only because of there are no kids and the pool is heated. But I wouldn’t pay more than $40 per person to go there. Only paid $20 per person on my last cruise and $30 per person on my upcoming cruise
The last time I went to Coco Cay I don't even think they were calling it "perfect day" lol. It had been so long! We actually found a great deal I think it was like 25-28$ on an upcoming one. Definitely too expensive for the 60-70+ if you wait till the last minute, but it's a great value if you can get it on sale!
Our Hideaway cost us $109.98 for 2 peeps so around $55 pp. But the Lagoon pool is nice also and free, only diff is the kids would be there, but same type pool and atmosphere with no view of the ocean.
My friend just got back from a cruise and said he didn't do the adult beach, but said the free one was still pretty nice. I just loved the environment of the adult beach all across the board, it's clean, adults, great views, nice music, great pool. Was super worth. Definitely plan on doing it again in the future! And like you said, the ocean view is great 😍

We are going there in December, so I'm wondering if the non heated pools are too cold. In that case I'd be thinking that paying for Hideaway would be worth it. Does someone know? TIA
Hopefully someone can give you a good answer! I have done cruising in December long ago, and I don't ever remember having issues swimming. But I could have just been younger and more adventurous LOL. I assume the ocean water will be cold, but as far as the pools go, I'm not certain.
