    We just came off the MSC Seashore 2 days ago. The ship is AMAZING. There are some cultural differences that leave some American passengers unhappy. There are lots of healthy choices of food and they don't use many seasonings. Also, entertainment seems a bit random among other small details. We packed our patience and had a great time.

      @Dillon.Thomas  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Really?? I'll have to take a look, I haven't done enough research on MSC, but overall I do hear decent things in general. I think food plays such a large role to so many people cruising, that I can understand if they're upset about it. But there's so much more to cruising than food. Appreciate the insight!

    In the beginning of your video that demolished area is going to become Royal Caribbean next private beach area. I forgot the name, but that is the next project.

    Enjoyed your take on cruise blogging we love cruising I can’t wait for you to check out a oasis class ship that has more of the modern amenities. Allure is going in for dry dock this summer. I think she is well overdue. Can’t wait to see your take whenever you check out, one of the newer oasis class ships they are next level we are booked on Utopia and wonder in the next year

      We actually were looking at Utopia since it's pretty affordable, especially if we don't splurge for the balcony. Plus, it's a nice little jumper ship like allure with the ports! So it's DEFINITELY something we have our eyes on!

    One more recommendation on your next cruise, look into the unlimited dining option trying all of the specialty restaurants is such a upgraded experience well worth it. We always do it on every cruise.

    • @Dillon.Thomas
      @Dillon.Thomas  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I was concerned to do that for a shorter cruise. I would imagine 7 nights I'd definitely look at that. Plus, being Nicole's first cruise, I wanted to let her see the "barebones" and figure out what we would want to add in the future. But I'm excited to try more specialty dining in the future!

    I enjoyed watching your video. Now I need to go back and look at some older ones. As someone already said MSC cruises is very hit and miss and I think a lot depends on which ship you sail. I've toured the MSC Seashore as a travel agent and it was a really beautiful ship. However, I sailed on the MSC Magnifica and that one leaves a lot to be desired. Dining options were extremely limited. And the entertainment is certainly not up to the level of Royal Caribbean.
    As I mentioned, I'm a travel agent, so if you need any help looking into MSC or any other Cruise Line don't hesitate to reach out. Thanks!

    • @Dillon.Thomas
      @Dillon.Thomas  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for watching! We've seen MSC being extremely affordable, but yes, certainly a lot of "hit and misses" it seems. Just need to watch some videos on what people think ultimately haha.
      Thanks for the heads up! If we end up looking to book MSC, we can reach out ☺

    I have to agree, it always seems the bread items are too hard for my liking. Not sure if its because they sit out in the air too long, or the way they are cooked. Never really had a problem though with the other food. I agree with Nicole - I enjoy the lunch and dinner buffets much more than the breakfast buffet.
    I also agree with Nicole about Nassau. I hated the push to come into the shops - just leave me alone while I wander around. I'm also not a huge shopper on cruises, so I always find it annoying and avoid that area.
    If you do go back, I really STRONGLY recommend that you take the excursion to Atlantis. It is and amazing place - the pool, the casino, and they have an underground tour of "Atlantis" called The Dig, swim with the dolphins, and so much more to do there. You have to book the right cruise though to ensure you have plenty of time. My last cruise there, I think it was the Antheme, there's no one home now to confirm, we were there for two days. It was fantastic. WARNING: getting to the taxis, and driving to Atlantis, you go through some quite sketchy areas. Keep your valuables close at hand, and in the front of your person.
    Never been on MSC - although I've heard positive things. That bubble crane is FANTASTIC!! Scary, but a great activity.
    Humus! BLEH!!! 🤣🤣 Both of your dinners looked awesome. Loved the cruise videos - definitely keep doing them on future trips. Very awesome - be well!

    • @Dillon.Thomas
      @Dillon.Thomas  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ya, the bread was probably my least favorite night to night. Not horrible, just not great. Most of their other food was solid, probably an average of like 7.5-8/10 across the entire trip.
      Nassau really seems like a heavy excursion port. Minus the water, it's not this beautiful view. That said, I heard a lot of good things about excursions. So I think we plan on doing that at some point on a future cruise for sure. Everyone mentioned booking through the cruise line since it can be sketchy and they don't always time things up correctly if it's not through them. I can also see it getting a bit sketchy, especially if you go on your own way. Not a fan of that at all.
      I'll have to keep researching MSC, it seems like they're good boats, but there's some smaller issues in general. That ball thing would kind of freak me out, but I'd try it regardless haha!
      I don't love Humus, but she does lol. But it wasn't bad, actually. Thanks for watching our videos! We're hoping to add a few more over the next year. They're fun to shoot, and such a different environment. Let's us get extra creative!

    I just recently was on Adventure of the seas that was cruise number 4 all Royal Caribbean, been on Allure as well, I enjoyed it a lot , have Utopia booked in November so pretty stoked about that one, recently when I went to Coco Cay which was my second time I paid extra for the Hideaway bay adults only beach area well worth it, loved it , as far as MSC never been on one but they have gotten a bad rep, check out other cruise bloggers who have been on them and just make your decision from that, hopefully they will improve but until then I’m sticking with Royal , enjoyed the video live watching and listening to what others experience and I think we all learn from it..

    • @Dillon.Thomas
      @Dillon.Thomas  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oh nice! Royal is definitely a great company to cruise with. I feel like they've started to get a little pricey in some areas, but overall I do think they're worth it. Plus their megaships are actually relatively affordable all things considered. I know MSC has been getting some bad reviews recently, especially from the vlog community as there has been some issues recording on the boat. Always stinks to see that. I'm glad you enjoyed hideaway beach! That was probably the highlight of our trip! We absolutely loved it!

    Looks like all the balconies are opened up at 12:15. When I was on Allure they only did that for crew access when they were cleaning the guest balconies, which I assume they were doing when you were videoing.

    • @Dillon.Thomas
      @Dillon.Thomas  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That sounds about right! They mentioned cleaning in the morning and to have things kind of ready it seemed, but I wasn't totally certain when they finished. But it looked like things were coming to a close around then.

    You guys just went to the port, you didn’t venture in to the city of Nassau. Next time, catch a taxi and ride to a local beach. There will be locals with food, drinks, braiding hair, and animals on the beach as well as jet ski rentals. No shopping. You can even just go in and check out Atlantis for free

    • @Dillon.Thomas
      @Dillon.Thomas  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So we wanted to go to Atlantis, but it's a taxi ride over and we weren't sure the best way to get there, and we noticed the time was running late. We've also heard not to wander about in Nassau as it is quite dangerous, especially since they've been under a travel advisory unfortunately.

    The ship reminds me of Freedom Of The Sea. And the Room y’all where in looked just like the room I was in. Man that brings back memories from back in 2022 on my Same voyage destination cruise on Royal Caribbean. Coco key was ok. I went to that one pool/beach in the middle and had fish and crabs swimming next to me. It was fun in all.

    • @Dillon.Thomas
      @Dillon.Thomas  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We really loved the adult beach, it was such a good experience. I remember doing coco cay back in like 2015 or 2016 and I wasn't a fan. But this changed things for me for sure. I do think their ships feel a bit of the "same" if they're a bit older. Icon certainly seems way different haha.

    • @Trance786
      @Trance786 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@Dillon.Thomas I didn’t know there was an Adult beach there lol. Well I didn’t move around much while I was there I only did the Zip line and the Pool/ Beach thing where I was at. That’s true I’m sure all the older RC ships kind of look the same within the interior but difference in the exterior. The free pizza at Sorrento’s OMG that pizza was good. Also I don’t know why I said Coco Key I must have thought of that resort in Orlando off of I-Drive. I meant Coco Cay like you said lol lol

      @Trance786 haha! There's so many copies of names on the orlando area 🤣 I know there's some changes going on Allure, and some of the other oasis ships have different amenities, but I think their room designs DEFINITELY stay pretty consistent across the company. Except icon, like I was mentioning, I think they have some really unique room choices. I wonder if utopia will innovate, too... 🤔

      @@Dillon.Thomas Oh yes I forgot To mention Icon Of the Sea. Man that ship looks like it’s a party oh party. Hugh as heck. I’m sure it’s so different from the other (RC) ships on the sea. Pricey as heck when I last checked but I’m sure it’s worth the price it is.
