Thank you! I travel a lot and book for smoking rooms, problem is hotels have no windows you can open. Everything smells-cigarette as you were in a dance Club and this info is great to know. Thank you again and keep up the good work.
what if i use both a uv hvac purifier and a portable 170sq ft purifier in the main living room. is this beneficial or is this useless for pet dander, and asthma problems?
great video, i found all those tips helpful! with the link in the description theres an air purifier however it doesn't tell you the air exchange per hour, i was looking into buying one but without that information i feel warry of it. thanks cheers
I agree with the speaker on the fact that many portable air purifiers and purifiers sold through large retail stores or on TV are often a rip off when it comes to performance. If you really want to purify and clean your living space go for central HVAC Indoor air quality products that are sold through HVAC wholesalers. You can also check Respicaire indoor air quality products they have all you need from hybrid air cleaners through air purifiers, germicidal lamps as well as PHPCO and Carbon Matrix units.
A good model if you have lung disease and lots of money. For the average consumer with basic allergies and/or asthma there are other units which will do just as well for 80% less. The IQ filters are over 200$.
As an engineer I find it interesting that air purifiers list square feet as their main filtering specification. They really should list CFM (ft^3/minute) at each power setting. I mean who's to say if you're in a 400ft^2 room with vaulted ceilings or you have 7.5' ceilings? P.S. - If the cost to make these units ever got out.... i swear customers would burn down these buildings. You pay the engineering costs once. These units really need to stop being sold for 3x-15x the production costs.
Good advise, all l know is that since l purchased the Blueair air purifier I have been able to breathe better and deeper naturally which has improved my quality of life as l have asthma. When l leave the room in which it is in my breathing is affected by my taking shallower quicker breaths. Due to this l purchased the larger 450E today for another room. It's auto function is great and kicks in instantly. My only complaint, as you stated, the filters are expensive. For the 270 I pay £47 and the 450 will be around £80 in the UK. This cost should be reduced as it is not a justified expense.
I have had many. The danged Oreck thing was a heck of crap. The ionic breezes are neat, work well, no filters. However.. they put off ozone and stuff that worries me. I know that hepa is awesome. I have a small hepa air filter in the garage I think I'm going to get it back out.
Thanks for this upload mark, I'm 21, fairly ignorant to air purifiers obviously, so I get all these commercials from Oreck and Sharper image about their fan-less, filter-less purifiers, and I really just can't take their word alone for the quality of their products.
It's hard to compare these air purifiers/cleaners. I'm looking at the Rabbit Air MinusA2 and it's almost twice the cost however looks like it's one of the best ones out there. Hard to believe that for mentioning an ad, a company would just slash $100 off too. I think not many Rabbit Air videos here possibly due to the cost of the unit too. :(
Do you have recommendations for filters specifically for Environmental Illness/Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. I have an Austin Air Filter - I don't care about dust or pollen but I got it especially for smoke from fire (when we have fire season in California and as a chemical cleaner. It deals with smoke, chemicals and on occasion fish cooking smell but it leaves the room hot and stuffy. I was thinking of getting an EL Foust which my friend has for Chemical Sensitivity too and the air is fresh and cool but man, it's expensive.
Hi, thank u so much for making this video. Almost bought an O unit, as know zilch about air purfiers. I am buying one due to haveing two roomates who are heavy smokers (and do smoke inside the house). I saw/heard at the end u said u recommend Airpot.com < Is that the correct spelling? Also there is a mention of aliveair purifier machine. Which of these two do u recommend? would u be able to message me or post the name of it, and possibly the website to visit? Ty so much.
Can you tell me if they purify heavy metals? Also, do you know if they are harmful? I mean when you breath only purified air and you go outside wont you get disease easier?
What do you think of the Winix 5500,it seems to be popular? Choosing one is confusing. The replacement filter for $79! Kind of shocking. They have a washable filter but some say it's not as good and it takes a while for it to dry. Thanks.
Fair...That's a very small HEPA air purifier. You need something with a stronger fan, and preferably a washable pre filter to remove hair before it hits the HEPA filter. Otherwise you'll be buying lots of HEPA filters.
I had an APCO In-duct Air Purifier installed in my HVAC a few months ago. Since then, I've had burning/itchy eyes, burning nasal passages, difficulty breathing! Sometimes it's worse than others. I was thinking something was wrong with me, but when I went on vacation for a week, I felt great again. When I came back, within a few minutes of being back in the house (central air was running) I felt awful again. Is it possible to allergic to the carbon in this device. Quoting their literature: "The matrix of titanium dioxide infused activated carbon cells in side APCO attracts and hold VOC molecules which are then catalyzed by exposure to UV light." (This set-up has two UV lights). Have you heard of people being allergic to carbon in these filters? I spent a lot of money on this thing, so I hate to have them take it out and then find out that it wasn't the cause of my distress. I did have my AC guy disconnect it for awhile, and I still had the symptoms; however the air carbon filter was still in the Ac where the air flows by it. He just reconnected it today, and my eyes are REALLY burning. Sorry this is so long, but any help suggestions you can give would be great.
Sorry to hear that. The in duct UV bulbs units are expensive, and while they will clear out problems (they don't clean, they disinfect) in the ducts they can produce ozone if the UV isn't set to the right level. They won't do anything for dust, or allergens.
Hi, thanks for the great video. I live in a 595 square foot condo with one bedroom. I have allergies. Do you still recommend the AliveAir Purifier Machine? I bought the Bionaire UV Air Purifier but can bring it back. Thanks again!
If those products are so great - why not selling them on Amazon (f.ex.) - this would help validate and confirm your claims by reviews. Have you thought about that?
Thank you! I travel a lot and book for smoking rooms, problem is hotels have no windows you can open. Everything smells-cigarette as you were in a dance Club and this info is great to know. Thank you again and keep up the good work.
Thank you for all the information...it has really helped me to choose the right air purifier for our needs.
Very clever online informercial.

yes it's solid but expensive...

Good and very useful product!

Is the Airpod model # 9000 better than the RabbitAir MinusA2 (AP-1004) or BioGS (SPA-582A)?
what about whole house central purification systems? recommendations?

Is there a decent purifier you would recommend for around 200 bucks?
Do you know if I can buy this product in Australia?
I don't know.
So what is a good Air Purifier that is reasonable priced?
Can you tell me if they purify heavy metals? Also, do you know if they are harmful? I mean when you breath only purified air and you go outside wont you get disease easier?
HEPA will remove heavy metals, in fact it was designed by the US government to remove radioactive particles. I haven't tested all metals however.

Is the Air Source 3000 a bad air purifier since it does have a filter?
It's a good, yet overpriced, unit. It will purify buut not clean the air. If you want to remove dust, pollen , this is not the unit.
sir, would the HPA-100-BE-MX be good to get rid of cat hair and dander? that's almost my only option along BAP1700-LA013
Fair...That's a very small HEPA air purifier. You need something with a stronger fan, and preferably a washable pre filter to remove hair before it hits the HEPA filter. Otherwise you'll be buying lots of HEPA filters.
what your thought on Orans Air cleaner cost 479.00
Overpriced for what it does and costs.

25 dollars? When I the contractor buy the filter for 32 I will more likely remain in business longer if I charge more than I pay for it.
Hi, thanks for the great video. I live in a 595 square foot condo with one bedroom. I have allergies. Do you still recommend the AliveAir Purifier Machine? I bought the Bionaire UV Air Purifier but can bring it back. Thanks again!
Yes. Sorry for the late reply
when i clean my oreck xl pro i only wish i had more.
its 2015!. I have a clair air purifier fo shizzle.
clair?
How many square feet is this for?
good
Thank you
What you have read is correct!
Thanks much
If those products are so great - why not selling them on Amazon (f.ex.) - this would help validate and confirm your claims by reviews. Have you thought about that?
If sold on Amazon the price would go up for a 9-stage air purifier. Amazon takes a very, very big cut on big ticket items.
Found the video informative but don't particularly like the title.
Sorry...
Get a RAINBOW, they are hands down the best product to clean your house period!
I LIKE DYNAMIC.
B
Doesn't Ozone purifier cause lung cancer?
weird.
Great info. But get to the point sooner.
