Cool Project. John, try 'walking the cup' especially on right angle welds something like a continious figure eight motion helps control the puddle, tig takes a bit to get used. BTW you're doing great.
from what of alot of comments are saying. here are some upgrades to focus on to make the engine more effecient. 1. bigger turbo(rolling coal means fuel isnt being burned completely) 2. removed govener(will allow the diesel to produce more power and help the CTV clutch. there arent many CVT clutches for a diesel engine. so youll need to spin the diesel faster to engage a CVT clutch) 3. meth injection(use a plastic water tank up front and a mechanical fuel pump to inject the fuel mixture into the tank. basically treat it as a nitrous oxide wet shot system 4. throttle body(all these mods can and will cause this tiny diesel to enter a runaway state. especially since you guys puked oil all over the engine. be careful)
What they need is 1) a boost tank between the turbo and the engine or better yet throw an amr 300-500 on it with boost tank... Boost Tank is a key component for under 3 cylinder diesel engines with boost it should be sized between 80%-150%engine displacement this will cause the fuel to burn more thoroughly/efficiently reducing the black puffs from the exhaust and producing more power although slightly more turbo lag when turbocharged no affect on supercharged diesel engines... If you want the best of boost go turbo into supercharger (aka twin charging... Not to be confused with twin turbocharging) with a boost tank between and one before the intake 2)leave the governor alone messing with it is how you get a runaway... Get a comet 780 and tune it for that engine (easiest engines to tune a cvt for...) 3)Throttle switch and trigger button for methanol injection only allowing injection while on throttle and button is pressed (prevents possibility of hydrolocking the engine when you let off the throttle... 4)No need for a throttle body diesels don't need them install a runaway valve instead...

Dont lean into the turn lean away from it and you’ll be able to hit it faster
smartest guys on youtube, folks
never heard mixing diesel an methane together but truckers would run like a gallon or gallon an half with 300 gallon tanks to clean injectors in older days
thats gas with diesel an no more then that either
you need to make a series of calendars with action thumbnails one different one on each month of your builds? That would sell
Damn thats a 2 smoker on the race cart to lol
I really like the deasle engine. Great video Yins guys
If you’re going to blend you need m5, it has a specific gravity of .81 and diesel is .82, m1 or pure methanol is .75 so it’ll separate and float on the top every time. M5 will actually blend
Cool Project. John, try 'walking the cup' especially on right angle welds something like a continious figure eight motion helps control the puddle, tig takes a bit to get used. BTW you're doing great.
I can double dam guarantee that's the fastest diesel cart on that track, ever!!😂🤣
Woaaaah Nellly she's a Roller💪🏼💯💨💨💨💨great building Gents
from what of alot of comments are saying. here are some upgrades to focus on to make the engine more effecient.
1. bigger turbo(rolling coal means fuel isnt being burned completely)
2. removed govener(will allow the diesel to produce more power and help the CTV clutch. there arent many CVT clutches for a diesel engine. so youll need to spin the diesel faster to engage a CVT clutch)
3. meth injection(use a plastic water tank up front and a mechanical fuel pump to inject the fuel mixture into the tank. basically treat it as a nitrous oxide wet shot system
4. throttle body(all these mods can and will cause this tiny diesel to enter a runaway state. especially since you guys puked oil all over the engine. be careful)
What they need is
1) a boost tank between the turbo and the engine or better yet throw an amr 300-500 on it with boost tank... Not to be confused with twin turbocharging) with a boost tank between and one before the intake
2)leave the governor alone messing with it is how you get a runaway... Get a comet 780 and tune it for that engine (easiest engines to tune a cvt for...)
3)Throttle switch and trigger button for methanol injection only allowing injection while on throttle and button is pressed (prevents possibility of hydrolocking the engine when you let off the throttle...
4)No need for a throttle body diesels don't need them install a runaway valve instead...
the CVT could be modified for a diesel engine
Smaller turbo* a bigger one wouldn't be able to spool with that little displacement (I could be wrong tho)
@@eljaibas16 a smaller turbo hits boost earlier (less lag) but also produces peak boost earlier... a larger hits boost later (more lag) but peaks later... Twin charging turbo blowing into a supercharger uses the best of both super and turbo charging... Instant boost and sub 4000rpm flat boost and torque output curves from supercharging but also uses the turbochargers better mid to high rpm boost and torque output curves at 2500+rpm
@@dodgeme1986truck not to mention diesel engines love air
I like to run and belt on my go cart. But sometimes I can't and I do break a chain. But what can you do. That's comes with having fun.
Think you need to centrally mount that diesel for better weight distribution and lower center of gravity! Loving the whole build though! Also heard of propane injection for a power adder to diesel!
Look up water methanol injection. Would be neat to see how much of a difference it would make. Also kerosene wouldn't make it run any different.
When it started on the kart track it looked like, The Little Kart That Could.
I bet a cvt would really fix the bottom end and let it loose on the top end
2 stroke old school cart was cool it was cool watching that guy wheel that thing
Yeah he was cookin.
Low speed need tuning a bit.
I would absolutely love to see ya'll compound turbo that thing to see if you can get quick spoolup and really wake it up
a bleed valve for the turbo would be cool too so you can adjust the boost
windshield washer pump and jets to spray it into the turbo. You can also use windshield washer fluid instead of the expensive actual meth. It is the same thing
You guys need a bigger rear sprocket on that kt100 kart to get out of the corners faster
Great video!
do all of what the others said AND add another exhaust pipe. dual exhaust on that would be pretty darn cool.
Dual exhaust on a single cylinder?? With a TURBO? Son, you don't understand how engines work.
Variable vane turbo( if you can get one small enough) would be a great addition. But definitely need a better plenum chamber for boost.
5 more lbs in the tires they would have been perfect on the bolt kart, the center of the tires was not even touching. Hook the Oil feed up with Flex Hose..
You guys inspired me to put this same engine on my go kart. I've got a BIZ frame that needed an engine so after some welding and fabricating, the sucker picks up and goes. Made the exhaust look like the old tractors with the rain cap on top. It's really stupid looking 😂
If that’s how methanol is introduced into a fuel system, water wouldn’t have had any negative effect. What you’re wanting is “Methanol injection” or even “water/methanol injection”. Get a fuel pump and spray through a carb jet into the turbo or something. Look up propane injection too
Impact for starting 1/4 20 bolts for the wheel 😅 wild tactic but I respect it 😂
Cross threading happened x.x I was full cringe knowing the risk but its not my stuff so 🤷♀
@@Doggo_Borkthought the same here. Gotta be careful with these ¼ 20 bolts.... proceeds to crossthread with an impact..smh
yall do realize he said 1/4 28 right?
@@joshmanis9860 Does that change the rules to using an impact to start it? Thought it would still be hand start to prevent cross threading then send home with an impact. 🤔 Guess I'm trying to say the cringe is less about the bolt and more about the install
@@Doggo_Borkdude you have a gay owl for a pfp your opinion doesnt count
