  • Olgivanna Lloyd Wright (born Olga Ivanovna Lazović; December 27, 1898 - March 1, 1985) was the third and final wife of architect Frank Lloyd Wright, whom she met in November 1924. The two married in 1928, founded Wright's architectural apprentice program, the Taliesin Fellowship, in 1932, and (with their son-in-law, William Wesley "Wes" Peters), the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation in 1940. Olgivanna became the President of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation upon her husband's death in 1959 and remained president until a month before her own death in 1985 (when Peters became president of the Foundation).

Thank you for this most important story of the life of Olgivana Lloyd Wright with Frank Lloyd Wright!
She was an amazing woman, so comfortable with who she was!
A bright light and genius who believed and stood by her beloved partner/ husband Frank Lloyd Wright, throughout his long life.

With most good Men, are good women. Not behind, but along side. I feel as though I now know Mr. Wright much better after learning about Olgivanna. Many times I’ve ridden my Motorcycle from Northern Illinois to Taliesin, a 2 hour journey through the beautiful Driftless area of Wisconsin. I understand the allure of the hills, streams and valleys in which the Wrights themselves were drawn to.

There should be a stone or marker in where people can pay thier respects. Someone knows where they are. Let it not be lost to time.

I have complicated / negative feelings about her, but this vid made me question some of them.

I'm not an expert, but I've read an extensive bio of FLW and, believe me, she was a controlling, manipulative person who harmed many. On the other hand, I guess the life at Taliesin(s) was extraordinary.

@@cindycharest3035 Yes, vaguely recall fascist, humiliating behavior from her.
