Sorry about the broken window dude. Thanks for showing us all the dirty details. I'm old enough to have learned that nothing goes as smoothly or as quickly as we would like, but it's still nice to see other people go through the same struggles. As I plan my first cabin build, having reasonable expectations will hopefully save this perfectionist a few headaches, lol.

If I remember correctly you said you were in Virginia. Langley Air Force Base is on the east coast. Home to the 1st Fighter Wing. F22’s are stationed there. Looks like you are in a training route to test low altitude mountain flying. Really cool actually. Fun fact! This base sent one of their F22’s to shoot down that chinese balloon that floated by last year. I was in from 2009-2014. Still love seeing them things fly by every now and then. I get so excited, too, lol….…thanks for the videos Graham. Always love seeing you in my feed.

Love watching your channel with my boyfriend on Saturday mornings while we drink our coffee!! I hope I’m not over stepping, but I work in an orthopedic clinic/surgery center, and I encountered lots of tennis elbow, lateral epicondylitis. I’m not a doctor, but the physicians I work for often recommend wearing a wrist brace. The area of your elbow that hurts is the extensor bundle, and when you extend your wrist, it continues to strain the area. Wearing a wrist brace (one with a metal bar in it) will limit your wrist extension, thus allowing the areas inflammation to reduce. We also recommend applying Voltaren gel (basically like topical ibuprofen) to the area to further attack the inflammation. I hope this helps you to finish your cabin with less pain! 🤗

We love watching your show and we're cheering you on Thank you for confirming that odd random thoughts entering my head during deep dive projects is NORMAL. Keep on voicing your authentically weird brain ramblings because it's what makes you so authentic and enjoyable!. It makes us all feel normal. 😁 I stayed at a lovely cabin with a loft. Key to easy movement was a solid ladder made of hand milled wood that had very large treads. Fit my whole shoe length! They used strong galvanized pipe for handles on both sides that stood up about 6". I was able to drag my suitcase up by myself! Closest thing to an actual staircase.

Graham, I posted earlier about the windows and getting them up into place. They make these small electric winches. You could run them off your battery bank. Use super strong glass suction cup handles. Attach cable to handles and hoist windows into position. Of course you would have to mount said winch to the roof joists above the window. Just a thought. They also have long cables to a hand held control for operation.

Man up and get er done. I’ve seen a retractable staircase that winds up being a good space saver. If I can find it, I will send you the link. Also, with all of that wind up there like another viewer said wind turbine might be the way to go instead of solar. They make nicecircular ones instead of the standard bladed one. 22:44 I am not sure how you people call them but I rememeber they are called goose walk stairs where the treads are halved and you need to start with the same foot every time to get up them. They are a good marriage between space saving (like a ladder) and practicallity (like a regular staircase)
They can be (and should be) a lot steeper and as such are very well suited for a smaller dwelling like yours.
I think you can even make one which is removable like a ladder, though a goose walk ladder/staircase is not very easy to store like a ladder...it is somewhat more bulky...

Graeme, I have another great idea to add extra work and extra costs 😂
Those 2x6 ties across the ceiling, you could box them up to create fake chunky beams and also use it to run wires and lighting. As for stairs ladder to get up to the loft, I say make storage stairs and the bottom treads make boxes for shoes, snow sleds etc and put them on castors or slides so they can be pushed away and latched so the girls can’t get up unless you unlatch them, you’ll still be able to get down quick if you need too, make it all functional in a tiny space storage is key. Aussie dude Scott Turner @formeindustrious just built a shed house with loft & made storage stairs if you need some inspo. #staypawsitive 🐾 Shell 🇦🇺

So glad to see you back at it. The fighter jet was awesome. Your reaction to it reminded me of myself. Like, who wouldn't love to see one of those. You have a big roll but you could try taking a broomstick or doweling and stick it in the roll, then put a clamp at the bottom. Then you can move the roll up or down, and maintain it's position. More useful when you start going higher. Anyways looking good.

commenting without watching the entire video but I went through a similar thing with my arm (tennis elbow esque pain) for what seemed like years, in both arms for a time too. I did all the things to try and manage it and the pain including trussing it. I Started upping my vitamin and mineral supplements and doing all the nutritional things, cutting out sugar, swimming, did some yoga stretching and strengthening and I think what did it was getting a new bike. I realised that the pain was gone one day while riding my new bicycle, which has much better suspension in the forks. The old one I guess was just rattling my bones and the vibration must have set it all off in the first instance. (I cycle eveywhere) Anyway, hope that helps. Give the mangesium a go though, it will make a difference. My guess is the vibration of the drills is causing it.

if its tendonitis, or really any soft tissue damage it will help, try therapeutic ultrasound. worked miracles for me. most physio places should have the equipment. when i had tendonitis really bad in my wrist just one session took away 80% of the pain and i didnt need to go back again. tho ive done it on many other injuries and you probably do need more than one treatment. but it helps with healing, pain, and i think it helps remove calcification on tendons or whatever that can make tendonitis bad (read that more than a decade ago...not sure how accurate). whatever it does, it has worked great for me for a number of things. its pretty much just an internal deep tissue massage that helps with blood flow and whatever.

Not sure if this was the case for you and your area, but when the sun is super golden like that, here in Calgary it usually means BC forest fire smoke is in the sky. 😢

Yea I think that’s what the case was. I could smell smoke too.

Message the window manufacturer, they'll likely send you a new panel or whole window under warranty for free. I was able to do that for a cheap vinyl Jen weld that I installed and the movable pane cracked.

There are a ton of wood ones you can make on site or metal kits. I also found design calculator online to figure out your height and tread sizes.

Suffered from the elbow issue as well. If you go to a Chiropractor he can reposition your elbow and alleviate the pain. It worked for me. Worth a try.

Why not take your frame from your window and take it to your glass guy if he cuts glass and just have him install new glass on that window

As a guy that wakes up from 'sleeping wrong' with pain, I'd recommend kratom. Not trying to say drugs are the answer, even though it is 4/20, but it does wonders for my 40 year old body. But it is ancient Asian medicine that really works. Do yourself a favor and buy some good reputable organic kratom online, don't buy the gas station grade stuff even though. Love the build, is it inspiring me to get out in the garage and do more woodworking! Cheers!
