What makes these so deeply emotional is because not only are these people excited to have their family coming home, we know that for every soldier that came home, there were ten that didn’t, who never got to see their family, who never had this moment. Cherish these moments, and be thankful for the brave and willing soldiers who never got to have this moment.

I’m so sorry for your loss. my cousin died November 28, 2018. it was the hardest day of my life. my mom had to ask the front office if she could talk to me and my lil’ sis (my mom is in the PTA there) and she said “girls, ___ (my cousin) died. i have to catch a plane to Tennessee in 3 hours so i can help comfort _____ (my aunt who, he was living with. she wasn’t his mom). ill be back by December 1st. please be good and try not to make a mess.” while she was in tears. i didn’t talk for the rest of that day at school except for why i told my friend what had happened. I’m now homeschooled and that was at my old school. my sis still goes there though. He lived with me, my mom, my dad, and my lil’ sis for a school year and summer. he was like the older brother i never had. R.I.P. Honestly, I come to watch the vids when missing my 2 sons get's too bottled up. My oldest son is in the Air Force and my youngest is a Navy Man. My birthday and the holidays are coming and there is only 1 thing I pray for and that is to have both sons and big sister together with me again. It's not easy missing them but it sure makes me PROUD of my sons for their service to our Country.

My dad is the U.D Air Force. (this is his account) he was deployed for a year at one point. it was saturday. my mom said she had to go in to work that day. but really she was preparing for my dad to come home. we were all watching t.v. my mom came in and about 5 mins later a knock on the door. my mom said to answer it. my big bro went to go do it. he just stood there in shock. i didn't see him at first. then my lil sis ran to him. i went to see what the commotion was. before i could see him, i heard his voice, i broke into tears. anything like this brings me to tears.

Lost my father when I was 9 to cancer. He wasn’t military, but was a nurse then later a firefighter. His fighting spirit even in the face of death motivates me to this day to fight for him in his honor. 25yrs old now and am about to enlist to serve something bigger than myself.

I’m so sorry for your loss. my cousin died November 28, 2018. it was the hardest day of my life. my mom had to ask the front office if she could talk to me and my lil’ sis (my mom is in the PTA there) and she said “girls, ___ (my cousin) died. i have to catch a plane to Tennessee in 3 hours so i can help comfort _____ (my aunt who, he was living with. she wasn’t his mom). ill be back by December 1st. please be good and try not to make a mess.” while she was in tears. i didn’t talk for the rest of that day at school except for why i told my friend what had happened. I’m now homeschooled and that was at my old school. my sis still goes there though. He lived with me, my mom, my dad, and my lil’ sis for a school year and summer. he was like the older brother i never had. R.I.P. Kel 😭 your brother, sisters-in-law, mom, niece, and whole family miss you. ik if you were here, you would love baby Jaylee (i think thats how you spell her name). Your mom, Brother and Macy miss you so much and ik they will never forget you ever.

Honestly, I come to watch the vids when missing my 2 sons get's too bottled up. My oldest son is in the Air Force and my youngest is a Navy Man. My birthday and the holidays are coming and there is only 1 thing I pray for and that is to have both sons and big sister together with me again. It's not easy missing them but it sure makes me PROUD of my sons for their service to our Country.

(this is his account) he was deployed for a year at one point. it was saturday. my mom said she had to go in to work that day. but really she was preparing for my dad to come home. we were all watching t.v. my mom came in and about 5 mins later a knock on the door. my mom said to answer it. my big bro went to go do it. he just stood there in shock. i didn't see him at first. then my lil sis ran to him. i went to see what the commotion was. before i could see him, i heard his voice, i broke into tears. anything like this brings me to tears.

Lost my father when I was 9 to cancer. He wasn’t military, but was a nurse then later a firefighter. His fighting spirit even in the face of death motivates me to this day to fight for him in his honor. 25yrs old now and am about to enlist to serve something bigger than myself.
