As always, incredible work! I love the dialogues and the intro of the mission is impressive, that deployment of Western Frontier troops is very cool
That second part with the stratodestroyer looks difficult, the Xylvania pilot almost doesn't tell about the battle XD
Lol "our tiny garrison" I remember in the vanilla game nearly half the xlyvanian army was here on this one island.
I love how the units in BW1 modeled their "jank", which is something that BW2 didn't do in favor of making everything pretty uniform (which is good for multiplayer tbf). Like this video showcasing how very unstable and imbalanced the weird Xylvanian light tank would be, if it didn't magically self-correct whenever it was knocked over.
At one point in the current custom mission I'm working on, one of the Xylvanian light tanks was knocked over and got stuck upside down. I had to intentionally ram it with another light tank to get it back up
Any mission with a Strato in it is automatically the most fun.
Haha, and yet this mission received some criticism, notably the low number of units under the player's command. The game was quite picky with this mission

Awsome as always, btw did this level in the base game have infinitely spawning X'er grunts? I kinda remember that vaguely frustrating me years ago
Haha yeah, in the vanilla mission, there's 2 lua files actually dedicated to respawning Grunts from the Fortress (for as long as the player has not reached the fortress), and also there's a script that respawns Xylvanian rocket troopers but I don't remember the specific conditions

This is so sick Koopa, also while I am interested to actually see if it’s possible to make Kaiser Vlad and Austin actually say their voice lines using Ai, it would be absolutely bonkers and annoying to get that set up 😭 what with converting each audio file and doing everything right only to have it not work anyway.
But enough of that, great freaking job here!!!!
Yeah making custom audio is really easy, but reimporting them into the game is nigh-impossible 😢
The voice lines are hard to re import. I’ve had zero success only custom music seems to work for now

Balance out the level with fighters of your own.
With fighters it would probably be too easy. With only the strato it's more tense like an actual fight
Also at the time, importing units from one mission to another wasn't possible in BW1 (it has only been possible for a few weeks)
Anyway I should rethink this mission. It's not very interesting as is
