Speaking of movies you love & Japanese theme, have you hear LOTR collaborates with anime director to produce LOTR anime coming on Dec 11? Guess who the voice actor of the villain is? the voice actor of genichiro ashina. Lol he had a similar long hair appearance too
Just getting to this episode. Been a bit sick the last few days. Today is the first time since Thursday I've felt somewhat like myself. I'm really enjoying the playthrough. It always makes my day to see the pure joy that stories and gaming give you. I can so relate.
That "New explorable region" available in act 2 is actually how you access the DLC. Once you go there you'll be stuck for quite a while before you find a way back to the main game. I recommend waiting until you've finished the entire main game before doing the DLC, as it is quite difficult. Also, upgrade the Ronin's armor to get a couple of the coolest looking hats in the game!
The DLC has no spoilers, but it would be nice if he gets the new abilities that the DLC offers. True. It does takes some time. There is a certain point where it let's you travel back and forth between islands.
Mati- PLEASE READ: This is the number one tip that helped me more than anything with combat. I forget the button combo to switch stances, but each stance matches one of the 4 face buttons. I think you press R2(?) and then square, X, circle or triangle. Think of the enemies as those shapes. The stance for X is like two swords crossed over one another, so you use that stance for sword enemies. The stance for O matches the circular shield enemies. Think of the triangle stance as a spear tip, as it’s useful against those enemies. Lastly, the square stance is for the brutes in the game…think of them as big boxy boyos. Matching the enemy type with the stance/button shape made it MUCH easier to remember which stance I needed to be in, without having to think too much or try to remember. I hope that helps. Also, kunai work wonders on the doggos, especially when there’s multiple around you.
@@delarosa8511yeah, he seems to have a pretty good grip on it. I was having more trouble…or maybe that was when I unlocked the 4th stance. I wanted to wait to tell him that tip until He unlocked the third stance, but maybe he or others will find it as useful as I did. My coworker was playing and when I told him that little tip, he said it made combat so much easier for him.
Wait til you see the areas in the northern half of the 2nd region, your jaw will hit the floor. Especially around Jin's home where he gets his father's armor. It's stunning there.
My dude it is so fun watching you experience these games for the first time. I loved your souls journey and it’s great seeing you play so many different kinds of games!
@@Quinx_-pu2ebI actually went to the dlc as soon as I got to act 2 without realizing it lol, so when I got to the island I thought might aswell finish it
I don't know if anyone already said it before, but you can activate Loadouts in the menù, so you can create different builds with different armors and Charms depending on the situation. For example you can roam around the map with the Traveller's to unlock the map faster and equip charms on it to increase loot you get from picking up Supplies etc, or Tadayori's armor with arrows charms for a dedicated Bow build. Take a look if you wanna give it a try.
One thing the game does masterfully is how the side stuff actually rewards you for doing them, not just giving you useless collectibles and such. A lot more bosses/mini bosses in act 2, look forward to it my guy!
Hey Mati! Don't know if you're seeing any of these as I tend to post late, but... 1:36:42 Yamato actually plays a biwa. It's a bit more twangy than a shamisen. 1:45:20 The kami lives here! The shrine is a little house for them. ^_^ 1:48:17 Excellent job on the tengu! 2:00:50 I think it looks more like a teacup, but you never know! Could be sake!
If you didn't know, you can change the appearance of the armor (equipped upgrades) without losing the benefits of the upgrades. Your armor always has the benefits of your highest upgrades, but you can pick different upgrade stages for appearance. Kinda like a transmog system. Loving the videos!
Just a small tip. Certain low unblockable attacks you can just jump and dodge them like that without the need to actually dodge. Same thing works with overhead attacks. You can crouch and you can dodge them again. Also if you combine jump and heavy attack you can do a kick which deals huge guard damage. Or jump and light attack does an overhead which also deals decent dmg and is a really good gap closer! Additionally... You can use heavinly strike right after you land a heavy attack again animation cancel but it does it so smooth you don't see a difference! Also every movement in this game can be canceled for example light / heavy attack.. You can just block and it cancels. It does it very smoothly too! Also holding block is your best friend don't be discouraged to hold block and have your thumb on your dodge roll. You can dodge while still holding block. There are a lot of great mechanics in this game. By far one of the best games with the best combat I have ever seen. Anyways! Keep up the good work!! ^^
If you want to upgrade your weapons and gear faster, you need more resources, and the Charm of Inari will help your greatly with that. Also, I love wind chimes, especially when paired with that charm that makes the wind chimes poisonous. Lethal combo for stealth.
Some advice. The yellow birds you can't find or with those that seem to stay around buildings.. then reward is on top of roof. Also at some temples, you can get there using the grapple hook on the corner thingies.
I don't know if you found out yet, or if anyone's told you, but you can climb all the way to the roof of lighthouses and stuff too in the game. They will have secret stuff you can collect. Whenever you see those white flags on the corners of the towers roof, that means you can climb it with the hook you got. 21:43 Thats actually the DLC map that just opened. Its probably best to do that after you beat the main game.
I know this game has a lot of content and it might be a bit rough trying to figure out what to put in a video and what to leave out, but honestly, I'd love to see you challenge everything this game has on screen. If that means 5 hour episodes, I'm sure people would be up for that, I certainly would. Taking your time to do the side quests has been awesome and it would be great to see you continue to liberate settlements and show all you get up to on-screen
Hey, how's it going? Here's a quick tip: change the controller buttons from Triangle and Square to R1 and R2. It’ll be tough at first, but you’ll get the hang of it over time, and it’ll be way better. I’ve beaten the game 7 times and regret not changing it earlier. Trust me, make the switch, and your gameplay will improve!
idk about anyone else but MATI!!!!! I WANNA SEE YOU DO EVERYTHING, idc how many videos it is i wanna see you experience all the content, this game is amazing, one of my favorites
Just one little thing i dicovered by accident after 40hrs, you can shake your controller as if you want to fling the blood of your blade and Jin will do it in game to remove blood :)
Pulling up for the new upload 🫡 quick tip - there’s an option in settings which enables you to add custom sets of charms to each armor. You’re gonna get tons of charms so it’s cool to be able to customise more! And about the dlc, I think you should do it after finishing the game as it’ll lock you out of the main quests for a good while. Love the channel, you’re the best 💃🏼
Mati, work has been rough lately and my anxiety has been getting to me a bit more lately. This playthrough is bringing me so much happiness every day and I mean this with the utmost honesty: if you posted 10hr uncut videos I would watch every damn second. Keep up the awesome work! Much love bro ❤
You get charms to make builds by doing those lesser side missions, and some of them are really good, I would heavily consider doing them before doing main missions. Shinto Shrines are where you parkour to get the Greater Charms and side missions give you Lesser Charms. Those combined with Armor Sets and their perks is basically how you create builds and get OP. Some Charm loadouts are broken lol, and you get stupid strong ones in the DLC and New Game Plus. You get the best Armor Dyes in New Game Plus as well. It is definitely worth doing.
Even after hundreds of hours in this game the spear boyos are my worst enemy. That's why I love the third skill from wind stance, it auto-parries when attacking.
I dunno if you'll see this or not but you should go into options and enable armor loadouts, it will let you assign whatever charms you want to the various armor sets and what colors you want everything to be. For example you can loadout the Tadayori Armor set with Archery specific charms and the Samurai Clan Armor set up for melee and defense or resolve gain, and the Ronin Attire set up with stealth charms, etc. It makes switching on the fly for certain situations way easier.
Whenever i finished a battle i would clean my sword. The annoying part was that somebody would try to crawl away had then i would need to kill him again and the clean my sword AGAIN. LIKE BRO WHY TRY JUST DIE. ITS EASIER FOR BOTH OF US.
Man you REALLY should play red dead redemption 2! I know you already know the ending, but sometimes it's not about the destination, but the journey to it. There are so many details and beautiful areas and loveable characters. The amount of details in every little and big thing is insane!
Sunday night sorted again thanks. I've been binging the last ep as much as I can, finally caut up! I'm sp glad you're playing this now on the channel, can't wait for the sequal
Mati - PLEASE READ; The red marks you see in the ACT 1 setting after you started venturing ACT 2 weren't actually added but rather it showed you what you've missed and not liberated yet. If you liberate all of these that are located in one region, the game will automatically remove all of the fog in that specific region, and then it will also show you a bunch of question marks since you haven't gone to them yet. So in a sense, you dont really need to use the traveller's attire to clear all of the fog because the game will do it for you anyways after completing the main missions in that particular region. Also, you may have notice that there is a unique quest mark in ACT 2 where it is enveloped in gold but is black/white on the inside. This is a DLC. Dont go through that yet because it is intended to be played after finishing the whole Tsushima main story. Also, i think its okay if you upload more than an hour or two of your Ghost vids. Id rather want you dont do offscreen missions and that includes the liberations because I like to watch you do this things. Theres not a lot of creators out there that are that passionate to this game, in fact, I think you are the only one who truly appreciates the game and pay attention to the missions and the small things, and we liked that. You can still do things offcam though like liberate a few, just to practice your combat, and the fox dens, theres just too much of them and after a while it does get repetitive with the fox dens so I think if you want to do things offcam these are it, and the hotsprings too cause theyre not that "unique" but i dont know. The Inari Shrines though are enjoyable as you parkour your way through and sometimes its kind of a problem solving when you just get lost all of a sudden plus you get to see the amazing landscape. The haiku places can be good to watch too because of your reactions to it, you are so high bro lol when doing it.
Mati- just a heads up: when you go to do tasks for Lady Masako, Sensei Ishikawa, Yuna, etc… go your journal and it’ll say tale number X of 9. That way you can see the order in which the game recommends doing the takes for that specific character
You got me with this playthrough my brotha. Just started a playthrough for Ghost of tsushima this morning after 4 years of not giving it a proper chance.
Welp, I thought you weren't uploading (thought it was tomorrow). Gotta go back to cooking the meal for this video. Also the fanart is going smoothly and the face is about done.
An interesting detail in this game is that the more stealthly you approach a situation and the more assassinations you performe in stead of going straight on, the more the weather gets worse
Bro. You play how you want of course. But I highly recommend getting Jin’s clan armor first. It’s good armor but it looks so frickin cool. It makes the other missions in act 2 feel so much cooler
If you like the Tengu Demon aesthetic, the boss you fought for the longbow, the Legends multiplayer is all based on that mystical aspect! Demons, ghosts etc. It’s dope af
Act 2 has some really great missions and from Act2 into Act3 is insane. I wish there was a mechanic that would let you replay missions you've already completed like in the earlier Assassin's Creed games.
My man Mati RETURNS...seriously though man, stop with theae consistent updates, i can't edit my videos nor read for my collage...YOU ARE KEEPING ME A PRISONER...STOP😂
My friend was complaining about how the dogs are annoying to fight while in a group, then I said "Miyazaki might have some influence in that." Bro had an immediate flashback.
Sunday funday yessss man I wish you played the zelda games in your channel, after ghost of tsushima and elden ring I'm pretty sure you would love them, especially the newer ones that are open world
Learned a beautiful Japanese word, Komorebi, from a Japanese movie I just watched. It means sunlight leaking through trees. Immediately thought of Ghost of Tsushima, naturally.
Hi mati, me and my gamer friends who are now doing daily jobs 😂 we really enjoy your channel while having dinner, watching you play all these games we have played brings alot of memories back of our first reactions to those moments! We enjoy it alot I hope one day you will play final fantasy 15 hope you have never played that, we want to see your reaction on that game one day. Will be waiting👌
21:17 dont know if you figured this out yet, but this mission is the start of the DLC. You can enter it now or later. Its kind of an double edged sword to do it early. Youll get alot of new stuff (armor, talismans etc) and it is very hard, thus makes the rest of the normal game easier. Your choice
If you're wondering when to do the DLC, I think the intended time to do it is after you finish the main story, seeing as there's one or two spoilers I think, but otherwise you can jump into it whenever you want :P
Hello there, mati. I'm a new viewer and let just say i love how you play games, your commentaries and everything is just my style i guess, but because I'm new i don't know when you're usually uploaded a new video. It's not very important but it's good to know, thank you for your vids!!!❤❤❤
Bring on the 5 hour videos Mati! In all seriousness though, im sure the majority of your community would love longer videos. Take your time with the game & do as much side content as possible. ✌️
This is the GREATEST GAME OF ALL TIME! The sidequests are more entertaining than most main quest in other games. U NEED to do all sidequests before finishing the main story. PS. U haven't been using triangle attacks much against swordsmen and u're not using square on shieldmen after they're staggered
I'm glad to see your happy playing the game.. however.. don't do my mistake.. take your time before it all changes and do all the side story you can before the end.. enjoy the story of Jin Sakai before a new era begins within Tsushima..
The movies are back lmao there's TOO MUCH TO DO
Time to eat Lunch 😋
Just what we want Mati m8 👍

Act 2 has some really great missions and from Act2 into Act3 is insane. I wish there was a mechanic that would let you replay missions you've already completed like in the earlier Assassin's Creed games.
Every nook and cranny. It’s worth it.
Discover snd explore.
My man Mati RETURNS...seriously though man, stop with theae consistent updates, i can't edit my videos nor read for my collage...YOU ARE KEEPING ME A PRISONER...STOP😂
LMAO FINE see you in two weeks
@matiasgago NO, DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE IN THIS FIRELESS WORLD
@@M.MSPARTAN FINE
@@matiasgago 🥰
Expected it tomorrow but hey we back
We so back
Yes, the new video just dropped 🙂🔥 🧐 It's 2 hours long too 👏😭🔥 just can't wait :)
My friend was complaining about how the dogs are annoying to fight while in a group, then I said "Miyazaki might have some influence in that." Bro had an immediate flashback.
Keep doing the side quests they are fun and rewarding, and fun to watch as well.
Sunday funday yessss man I wish you played the zelda games in your channel, after ghost of tsushima and elden ring I'm pretty sure you would love them, especially the newer ones that are open world
All the mythic tails are incredible and worth the reward
Yes, please. Make these videos 10 hours long. I need something to watch while 'working'.
Perfect timing as always, and 2+ hours!!! GOAT 🐐
We enjoy it alot
I hope one day you will play final fantasy 15 hope you have never played that, we want to see your reaction on that game one day.
Your choice
Back with a bang - luv from 🇬🇧⚡️
Hell yeah welcome back hero 😎
Finally, something to do while not studying for finals
You got this bro studying is for try hards
@matiasgago the act 2 main missions are the best in the game. Can't wait to see you experience them
If you're wondering when to do the DLC, I think the intended time to do it is after you finish the main story, seeing as there's one or two spoilers I think, but otherwise you can jump into it whenever you want :P
When the weather becomes darker and rainy, it means you're becoming more of the ghost by being stealthy and fighting without honor.
Bro's gonna love the blow gun, can already tell
Hello there,mati.
I'm a new viewer and let just say i love how you play games, your commentaries and everything is just my style i guess, but because I'm new i don't know when you're usually uploaded a new video. It's not very important but it's good to know, thank you for your vids!!!❤❤❤
Finally bro 💐
Bring on the 5 hour videos Mati! In all seriousness though, im sure the majority of your community would love longer videos. Take your time with the game & do as much side content as possible. ✌️
Going to enjoy watching this video like all the other ones, also mati what's the music at 2:00:52
Hell yeah bro its from a stock music website can't really get it anywhere else sadly
@matiasgago Ok thanks mati
You can also shoot the hanging lanterns which will then burn nearby enemies
I'm glad to see your happy playing the game.. however.. don't do my mistake.. take your time before it all changes and do all the side story you can before the end.. enjoy the story of Jin Sakai before a new era begins within Tsushima..
Stayed 2 hours extra waiting for it and you did not disappoint 😤
W content bro
Bro the missions in act 2 are crazy good istg!
Never getting late for the goat🎉
My guy 😤
