Peeta Mellark was done a disservice by the films. I hate that he's so underrated. He's easily my favourite character from the books, but people call him "boring" and "weak" when he's an absolute marketing genius strategist. He is the ONLY reason why Katniss survived and became the Mockingjay. I have no doubt she would have kicked ass without him in the 74th Games, but without Peeta making her marketable, she would not have gained the support and supplies from the Capitol she needed to survive. Peeta is a brave, selfless hero who managed to breakthough his torture conditioning AND still advocated for peace not revenge afterward. The guy is a literal saint, and your gorgeous video showcases why. Thank you for sharing.
I love this. He is so underrated everyone talks about how Katniss is the heroine and don't get me wrong she is and I love her also but she would she have been without Peeta? If another character had gone into that arena wih her (Gale aside) would she have brought out the berries. He was kind and loved her through everything. He risked his life multiple times and wanted the same things she did and multiple times he made Katniss step up and be the hero she was. I loved them together so much and felt for Peeta when Katniss was confused with her feelings.
When Peeta was tortured by the capitol and forced to do tv anouncements, his face lights up when he hears Katniss singing even through the pain and hurt, he heard her voice and for a moment amonst the chaos he felt peace.

4 years later and this video is still amazing! I love how the clips parallel the song lyrics, it's beautiful. As a longtime fan, I cannot believe THG fandom has technically been "dead" for 8 years now...so sad. How has it been so long?
