I have always found funny how they run out of ammo and there are still bullets in the belt.
Abdiel Alfonso It sometimes bugged the hell out of me when it did that.
I noticed in CSGO and the new cods fixed this problem

one of hte LMGs in BF1 has quite a bit of reload animations since you load strips of bullets into a box

The overheating on Warfighter’s SAW is pretty neat.
Also the way the way the Insurgency one kills my ears is really neat as well.

1) Intimidation
2) Bulky and great looking
3) More Intimidation!
4) It can take Stanag magazines for a lighter role
5) mk 46 is best version
6) Bucky use this gun in Civil War/Infinity War/Endgame

In Insurgency it’s understandable why the recoil is such, it’s a Brutal CQB mil-sim type game where you as the player are the actual soldier and have to control the recoil yourself.

Sweden Ball Well, not called a glitch, those problems are the engine limitations. Look at the mg42 in Day of Infamy, you would see that the character only puts a few rounds, and when he closes the top cover the rest of the bullets appears magically

Always loved the echo sound of the bad company games when shooting down range, and the belt jingling on the reload

Not a single game got it right. Insurgency was the closest but still charged the bolt when it wasn't an empty reload. Being an open bolt gun if you didn't completely run out of ammo you can open the top cover and place a new belt without having to pull back the bolt.

Seems like Ubisoft got lylazy over time, in Far Cry 2 the belt is used and disappeared while in R6 it didn't disappear

When you want to lay down some suppressive fire, look no further than the SAW. It’s not as popular as an M60 machine gun, but you can use it.
The Battlefield 3 and Call of duty: modern warfare remastered are my favorites.

the OG CoD 4 has a mounted M249 SAW in a mission that has impressively better firing sound for me, but the fire rate is however inaccurately slow. And uh, the ammo belt is...static. This was never even fixed in MWR.
BF3/4 and Insurgency have the most realistic reload animations. Most machine-guns including this one are open bolt so reload starts with charging the bolt back and pushing handle forward. Also I am pretty sure MG in MW3 is not M249 its MK46 basically same gun but many features removed to cut down weight.
American weapons are my favorites.
M1903, the gun you use if the US didn't issue the Garand yet...

And black squad's mk46 is actually reliable on every modes

I'm interesting how we properly reload this gun in real life : do we operate the charging handle before putting a new ammo belt or after ?
I remember seeing a video of a guy shooting a RPD, he had trouble to load his gun, he could not close the top cover. I'm wondering if for M249 you have to operate the charging handle first to lock the bolt carrrier back and leave room to place the bullet.
It's a bit like on MP5, if you have a full mag, it's hard to fit it on the gun unless you lock back the charging handle to make room for the first bullet in the chamber, and making the mag lock in place easier.
It is an open bolt gun, so it works properly when you first pull back the charging handle but i think you can pull the charging handle after loading, not sure at all, but like i said, the proper way to usr it is first the charging handle.
Bloody FX Can most belt-fed MGs be loaded by either way, charging first or belt swap first? Alternatively, is there MGs that can only be loaded by charging first?
Is it possible to pull the charge after putting the belt but not closing the cover?
The cover need to be closed, abour other machine guns, well, mostly every machine gun is open bolt, a quick search on google may give you the answer

Why do games always show the character charge the weapon before loading? Even with a partially spent belt? If the belt isn't completely used up then it means the bolt is still held back by the sear, so why is the charging handle constantly used despite the bolt already being locked back? Literally Insurgency and Black Squad are only 2 games with proper animations
Some lmgs (the ones that were based off the system for the mg34 and the mg42) need to have the charging handle pulled back before opening it as standard procedure to avoid fucking up the gun or something.
Funny enough you arent supposed to charge the weapon after loading, you need ti do before to bring the bolt back as the firearm is an open bolt lmg

@@unnamed_boi that doesn't make sense, take a look at Rainbow Six Vegas 2's reloading animation of the M249. Even that game had more detailed animation for the M249.

One of the games here had some of the weirdly sounding background noice, no offense man, just hearing the noice along with the gun fire was weird.
