10 PASSIVE DESIGN STRATEGIES FOR DESIGNING A HOME IN BANGALORE CLIMATE/TEMPERATE CLIMATE
1. Longer facades towards North and South
2. Large window openings towards North and South
3. Make sure the West side is shaded by trees or green walls because this will reduce sun's radiation from the west side.
4. Provide light shelf on the south wall for natural light throughout the day
5. Provide double height in your living room because higher the ceiling lower the room temperature
6. Provide windows towards west and south direction because the wind direction in Bangalore is from Sout-West
7. Provide smaller size openings in west direction to avoid direct solar radiation and to increase the wind pressure inside the building as the wind direction in bangalore is from Sout-West
8. Provide white paints / green roof / China mosaic tile /clay tiles on the roof. This will reflect the sun's radiation and will keep the building cool
9. Provide Tinted glass with shading on all windows this will helps in reducing solar heat gain and also solves the problem of glare
10. Provide skylight for natural light throughout the day.

Nice information vidio, but how we should deside wind and sun direction according to site position most of the cases plots are not 90degrees turned with North but acording with road can have perfect rectangular,

If the longer side of the building is not facing the North make sure the building is at 35 °
or 45 ° to the direction of wind for enhanced ventilation. Building Form can be staggered in the wind facing direction also to achieve the same result.
