- Top 10 reasons why I think CarX is the best drifting game out there. I've played CarX Drift Racing Online over 1700 hours and here's my insight. Most of the time I've used a steering wheel. Before that I used keyboard and then moved over to controller as well. I could have picked Assetto Corsa, but on console there is no mod support for that game and there's only very few drift cars there. There's not many drift games out there to compete with CarX. The customization, steering wheel support and mods are probably the biggest reasons why I think this is the best drift game currently. Let me know what you think is the best drift game.

For me the best drift game is Assetto Corsa (CM), but I play CarX once in a while (like every three months) when I'm not in the mood to get my setup out (wheel, handbrake etc) and just want to chill with the keyboard and some music on.

@@emsj86 it’s literally not a drifting game. The base game is just a simulator for real world road racing/track racing. So assetto is NOT a drifting game, meaning carX is the best “Drifting game” its really not that hard to break it down
Forza should take some notes on carx and assetto. More specifically, tuning options. Forza is too limited on drift builds. Legit we can’t customize our angle when we drift.

@TreyMusah exactly, but what really bothers me is the fact that the direction only turns 90 degrees. But as it's an arcade game I think turning more would be a problem, even if it's just visual I think it would be better
Can you elaborate on the "customize our angle" aspect? Ive been playing lots of CarX and Forza horizon 5 trying to get good at drifting (playing on controller). One thing I noticed about CarX is the steering feels very instantaneous/responsive , where as Forza seems to smooth it out, I suppose it's maybe to simulate the time it takes to actually turn a real steering wheel.
My issue is that forza has arcade steering, EVEN with a sim wheel. You can't hold a certain number of degrees like in real life, because you always have to keep moving it, which is dumb.

Goosiest you were the guy that really pushed me into the idea of buying a steering wheel (g29 with shifter and stand), if all goes well I'll get it in about two weeks, it's a dream come true. Thank you 🦆 for your great content.

On PC. (In my opinion) on console it's a shame you can't get mods. I haven't gotten CarX on Xbox, I'm getting it today so I can't say more. But the mods for maps, license plates (ik that's small but I love small details) is a kinda disappointing
But on console you have already all DLCs included
On PC you have to pay over 70€ for them

The interior customization is something I miss in every race game I play, last game I played that have this was midnight club LA. After that didn't found any game that this was possible

I started playing CarX when it was first launched on mobile devices back in 2014 or 2015 I think. The graphics and physics were great and they had minimum in app purchases. However, with time, the devs got greedy and that went down the drain. I believe the focus changed for the devs to work on PC and console versions

I just got this game and so far it’s pretty fun but man it’s hard to learn. Personally my favourite drifting game is a initial D inspired game called “inertial drift”. The drifting is nice and snappy and every car feels unique. It’s honestly sad that this game doesn’t have a lot of attention because it’s honestly my personal hidden gem.
For me you have to play both Carx and Assetto to have the full drifting experience. It is true that server support is so much better un Carx... I personnally don't really care about customization, i just wan't to train my skills to not crash my IRL car when drifting, and assetto physics are a bit better to me.
Omg i almost spit my coffee when you imitated the glitching g29 sound. So brutal. Mine did that all the time. Fortunately my fanatec order is in the mail. Will have to give this game another shot.

I recommend initial unity for initial D and drifting fan, it has a great graphics and great control
Eh, as someone who plays it, its not a beginners one, grip is pretty much non existent in that game, too slidey, its the game for those who loves fast paced ones, just like the sega infinity ones, still great, just wouldn't recommened it to beginners, especially those who use automatics.

Big ups to carX truly a amazing game great customisation the fps on console when sum 1 join is pretty bad but i can look passed this as the game is just a vibe put sum music on and jus drift its chill asf always updating aswell ❤️

I'm gonna get hated (idc anyway) because CarX is what most people who watch Goosiest play, I mean ngl I play sometimes too when I just want to chill on keyboard..

Car x is an okay arcade game. For the people who want more of a sim then ac is my go to. Just the mods and drifting in ac actually requires some kind of skill instead of turning your wheel to one direction and the car will go there without issues.
carx is a great way to introduce newer players to asseto corsa. asseto corsa is so overhelming for someone without knowledge about drifting games in general.
Cant believe i perfect drift in AC and cant take 1 corner in carx .........
physics are actually pretty good for an "arcade"... not like AC ofcourse but that's a simulator
@@Lkrz- me too!!! I dont understand how they can play carx so easy. AC feels real and it took a while for me to drift, but now i can drift in ac. Carx feels shi× even with 540° its just a lock to lock kinda thing and with stock car tune its impossible fore me

Hey goosiest, dont think you will read this but if you will i was wondering if you knew a fix for the g29 where i do any proper tune on any car and no matter what car it is my car always spins out even if im not touching my wheel and just add a little bit of throttle. There was a point where my g29 was fine for a while i could drift normally until i reinstalled and it was back to the spinning out again.

mine is unplayable on my g920, not only the spinning out thing but my force feedback constantly rattles like ur hitting grass in asseto corsa, can’t even let go of the wheel to let it transition or it tries to rattle itself off my stand
@@caydenlewis4181 if you turn the steering assist off and turn the force feedback to about 0.4 or 0.6 it should be okay but apart from that Idk how to fix the spinning out which is really annoying since it did work for me for a while 🤷
Default is fine, you need car tunes tho
@@Goosiest I look multiple different tunes for cars on TH-cam and try them but all of them spin out even if I gently push my throttle, and my tunes that used to work no longer work, so I'm not sure what to do and no one on TH-cam nor google have answers for this
after watching this video I decided to open my carx again, which was a little empowered, I didn't remember that the game was so nice to play, I spent the whole afternoon playing it, now it is one of my favorite car games thank you

I like crew 2 because it has updates all the time and has drift edition of cars but there’s no Supra❤️
Try drifting without steering, braking ( including the handbrake ) and not letting of the gas

2 reasons why its the worst drift game, for controller users in particular.
1. "Counter steering" is broken, with steering assist on, you "counter steer" the same direction you are turning, your wheels are pointing the opposite direction of your inputs... With steering assist off counter steering becomes a feature, however there is no steering sensitivity adjustments or steering smoothing implemented making the front tires looks like they tweaked out on meth causing the car to plow and make it look like you are drifting an AWD car....
2. Vibration is either broken or just a joke, maybe something is wrong with my game, but I only get vibration when I hit something, thats it...
The customization is probably the best thing about the game, that and mod support on PC.
I'm looking forward to Carx street but if the game doesn't have these issues sorted, it won't make it into my library.

With the assist on you are making the same corrections you would without assists, except they are backwards, this has absolutely nothing to do with "comfort" its a matter of your inputs making sense...

I actually play the mobile version when I'm on the train. The first one is really nice. The second is alright but I didn't feel the need to level up and achieve stuff

this game reminds me of tokyo xtreme racer games the way you describe it. swapping engines, changing bumpers and hoods, changing them with carbon fiber. livery editor(with a paint brush like thing). but unfortunately it's stuck on ps2 era without netplay.
