Hi Jill, So happy to see you back ! It seems to me that you are more settled now. I’m happy to see that for you. You are lovely weight or no weight! Love watching you on you tube . I’ll be rooting for you to lose as much weight as you want to lose. See you soon!
Jill something I discovered with my weight gain (I’m 58) was I had devastating muscle loss - as soon as menopause started my muscles went to paper. My exercise had to go from aerobic to muscle building. It has been life changing as muscles are hungry. For once my hubby is the one who can’t lose weight!! It’s been my answer - I got pool weights and I have one day I do gym and swimming - I have pushed myself but it has worked ❤
@@connectwithyourdeck I definitely plan on doing some weight lifting / body sculpting! I use to be so into that back in the day and am excited about starting slow with it!
Weights are the answer where is a quarter pound of muscle after the age of 34 …so women lift weights!! Follow Kelli coffee Meyer she’s amazing. She’s 60 years old and you wouldn’t believe it looking at her body, but she lift weights every day.
@@user-dn1pj3db2k at 66 (having gained 3 stone while on steroids) I followed the Michael Mosley Fast 800 diet for 12 weeks. I built up to 16 hrs fast plus 800 cals, (no or very low carbs) and lost 2.5 stone plus my craving for sweet and high carb foods. Never felt so well.
Great to see you. It sounds as though you’re really ready for this weight loss journey and that’s key. You have to be ready. Can’t wait to see your progress 😊
Good to see you back!!!! My daughter has lost 70 lbs so far on Zepbound! She has said the nausea is getting better/her body is adjusting! I am on Rybelsus. More for glucose numbers but my weight is down 26 lbs.
I also was opposed to going on a a GLP medication. My husband has been dealing with diabetes for a lot of years and I have watched my husband struggle with his health due to side effects of taking diabetics medication. The medicine destroyed his thyroid and he developed renal cancer and had one of his kidneys removed. My doctor called 2 years ago to tell me my AL1 had hit 6.0 and he wanted to put me on meds. Instead I began tracking everything I ate and went on a 1200 calories a day. I hit a plateau where I lost no weight for 5 months then all of a sudden I began losing .5 lbs a week again. I too have been on anti depressants on and off. The last time I asked to be put on them again after 10+ years without them. After 2 years I felt I was in a better place and weaned off them.
So nice to see this video, Jill. How to attack health issues in our lives is such a personal choice. Wishing you all the best in your journey, and know that we'll be here for you every step of the way. 💖
Hi Jill. Lovely to see you on here again. I wish you good luck and huge success on your journey. You've given me the kick up the butt that I needed to take control of my health this year. The last 3 years have been a massive struggle mentally, 2024 being the worst as my dad's failing health finally caught up with him and he passed away in May. Then on top of that my mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and has deteriorated so quickly that she's now in residential care. With all of this going on, the last person I've thought about is myself and both my mental and physical health is probably the worst it's ever been. The menopause certainly hasn't helped matters either! I'll be 59 this year and my goal is to go into my 60's with a much healthier body and mindset than I have right now. I look forward to updates from you as they'll inspire me to keep going. X
So sorry. Wow. We are on such a similar point in our lives and came to the same conclusion....time to get our health back and feel as good as we can. Let's make our upcoming 60's the best yet. ❤ Please keep me posted and I do intend to give updates too on my journey.
So happy to see you back on TH-cam and excited for you on your new weight loss journey. I started compounded tirzepitide in September and I am thrilled with my results. I only inject a microdose weekly and I have no “food noise” or cravings. I also have no side effects! I go to a functional doctor for this. They measure not only my fat loss, but also my muscle loss. Unfortunately, I have lost some muscle so I am really working on consuming at least 100 grams of protein a day and lifting weights 3 times a week. I drink Fairlife protein shakes , they taste just like chocolate milk and have 30 grams of protein. Good luck on your new adventure and I hope you will post regularly on your results😊
Nice to see you back !! I am glad you are feeling better and that you are excited about your new weight loss/ health journey. I am diabetic (2) and tried ozempic 3 times but my symptoms were awful. I see now I was not informed properly of my diet to eat when on it. I was eating high protein but keto style so high fat. I see this is probably why I was feeling so sick. Maybe I’ll talk to my doctor again and try it again. Good luck and please keep us informed on your journey!!
I was happy to stumble upon your video Jill. I am 58 and struggle to lose ever sine menopause. I can agree with the lady who said to focus on muscle. I do think that is the key. If you don’t, no only will you lose tone but also your muscles won’t work as well as they did. I am finding that out. I hate muscle work and am all about cardio but even now when I do it…i still gain…Good luck on your journey and I look forward to seeing your progress!
I’m wishing you great success on this journey, Jill! ❤ My journey is similar in that I did keto and carnivore and also had a second channel on that. Through life events that went by the wayside and I gained everything back. I’ve been on WW for a year and that along with my diabetic medication has really helped me get on track and lose again. The weekly weigh in and meetings really holds me accountable and I definitely need that. I’ve gotten off track over the holidays but back on track now. If you can find what works for you then do it, we need to take care of ourselves and never let any naysayers get you down. You got this and I’m over here cheering for you! xoxo 👏👏🤗🤗💞💞
Good for you, girl! I applaud & support your decision to reel your health back in. I did it for myself 3 years ago & I am fully alive again. I feel fantastic & I wish this for you too!
Good for you Jill! Thank you for sharing your weight loss journey with us. It's easy to put weight on but incredibly hard to take off. Im going thru it myself. Wishing you good luck & sending love ❤️
Hi Jill, you’re a beautiful soul inside and out. I wish you the best on this healthy lifestyle journey. I’m 60. At age 45-55 I started lifting hand weights in my bedroom 30 mins 5 days a week. Nothing crazy. I’ve learned that it’s the consistency that makes a difference, not how long you work out per session or the amount of weight, just being consistent. I did not diet. I went from a size 14 to a 4 and I couldn’t believe it. I noticed that I lost inches in about 4 weeks and that was motivation to keep going. Weight lifting gives us a lean look though the scale may never change. I never weighed myself. I tried on the same pair of jeans once a week for months and it was remarkable how many inches a body loses just from lifting 10-20 pound hand weights. At age 55 I quit, had COVID twice and went thru a depression. Boy could I tell a difference in my body. I started lifting again about 3 months ago and I feel great. Weights are the key after 40. Check out Cheryl Coulombe on YT, mature woman who lifts weights slowly and you will see amazing results❤❤❤
So great to see you, Jill. I have been watching for a new video from you. Yes, you definitely need to be on D3. Wishing you a smooth journey and much success. Keep us informed 🙂
Sorry to hear you are thinking about this drastic measure. I really like watching you and wish I could support you in your journey. As I’ve written to you before, if u were my mum and sister I would speak honestly and say please rethink this. ❤
Jill Im sooo happy to see your face again! I Im on "the journey" as well! Started Zepbound on November 1st, and so far Im losing right at 1.5 lbs a week. My insurance wouldnt pay so I had to go with the compounded but Ive not had a bit of trouble with it. Very few side effects except gas, belching, and it seems like I get tired alot sooner than I normally did. I too had done Keto back in 2017-2018 and lost 92 pounds! I managed to keep it off until COVID arrived. Being stuck in the house for months on end led me right back to the comfort of food...mainly sugar and Cheetos! I had a good run but I knew I wasnt comfortable with the extra almost 40 pounds i was hauling around again. All it took was for me to see Oprah's special about the semaglutide and I felt like she was talking directly to me! Did you see that? If you didnt...you need to look for it here on YT. Much good luck to you...well to US that is! {{hug}}
WW IS THE ONLY EAY TO GO~~ I’m so proud of you for making THE WW DECISSION! This is what I did~~ NO DRUGS & dude effects! Just pure Weight Watchers!!! I learned to chose foods wisely ~~ portion control is huge… I went to meetings once a week for accountability ~~ it WORKS~~ you got to be willing to put the time in~~ it does not happen over night but IT HAPPENS~~ YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT THE HEALTHY WAY EHETE IT STAYS OFF FOR GOOD. I am maintaining a 92 pound loss for 15 years now!!!
i so appreciate that you do your own research and really process what this journey will entail. So many think it's a 'quick fix', but in reality, it is a tool. A powerful one, but still something that can be negative (some side effects) as well as positive, so am impressed you are planning ahead. The line that just jumped out at me was when you mentioned liking the feeling of 'full'. That is was kind of a comforting sensation. I too, have that same thought. that all the advice to eat to 80% full etc., was hard for me as full felt what I was drawn to. I'm working on that as well as food choices. Thank you for being so honest. It's a journey where you have so many rooting for you. And for ourselves. :)
Hi Jill, you made my day! So happy to see you, I know you have been missed by many. So sorry you have been having issues. Your knowledge about supplements and food will help so many that dont know where to start. Good luck on this journey to a healthier you!
I’m not a big fan of protein bars, but I do like the meat sticks made by Simms. There’s no sugar and it’s pretty clean. I buy mine at Aldi. It’s a way to get proteins without all the maltodextrin and fillers found in protein bars.😊 Great video, thanks for sharing.
Hi Jill! I just said to myself yesterday morning when I was getting ready for the day. " I wonder what is happening with Jill?" Good to see you! I really enjoyed those chicken patties with caramelized onions! Yum! You will do great, and please take us along with you! We love you and support you completely. ❤
I’m right there with ya! Started on wegovy about 4 1/2 months ago. Down 33 pounds. I have a lot to lose. I’m lucky as my insurance started covering it last July. I too did a lot of things to prepare before starting on it. I’m 57 and I have been battling my weight my whole adult life. It’s affected my body and my health and I’m hoping it’s not too late to turn some things around. I do need to incorporate weight training sooner than later. Anyway. I wish you luck! You got this and hope to follow along on your journey ❤
O Jill , you nailed the reason for gaining weight on the head. It is exactly how I feel . The no joy feeling in the activities you like and keep you grounded is rhe worst
I hope you do really well Jill ! Between May 5th and June 20th of this year I lost 13 pounds on my own, then I went on Compounded Tirzepatide and have now reached a weight loss of 60 pounds. I have had minimal side effects and have averaged a weight loss of 1.74 pounds per week. I had no stalls. I have continually tracked calories, fiber and protein. I have done some walking scattered throughout my journey. I am now 8 pounds away from maintenance. I plan to try to stay on this medication as long as I can, however, if the FDA forces compounding to stop, I will find other alternatives for maintenance. My SW: 185 CW: 125 GW: 117 age 66 5’3. I have had muscle and bone density scans and everything is within the normal range. I have gone from being nearly diabetic to still prediabetic, but with a much lower number.
Wow! Thank you so much for sharing your success! So inspiring!! I usually am not a tracker, but this time I decided to give that a go to help me keep on track and also make sure I am eating enough. When I was on Semaglutide I found I really lost my appetite at the second dose up and it was SO hard to eat anything. I need to not let that happen somehow. :/
@@JillLynnBeautyTherapy personally I think the tracking is what really kept me on course. I just don’t think I realized how much I was eating all those years. On days when I’m fuller sometimes I only hit 1000 cal, but in general I have averaged between 1200 and 1400 cal a day. Unfortunately, I’m not always able to get as much protein as I want, but I’m continuing to work on that.
Love that you’re doing something with getting back to good health. I have similar issues as you. I did not go the medical route. I went Carnivore. All my aches and pains went away. And within the first week I lost water weight very fast. I also have been able to keep muscle. Infact I’m stronger now. And I have gained more muscle. I hope you discover the right thing for yourself on your journey. Be well. ❤
My friend has been doing Zepbound for almost a year now and her insurance covered it she only has to pay out $20 per month for and now she has lost 40 pounds , but she said she had to very or should I say extremely bad experience with constipation. She had to go to the hospital once for it because it was so bad. Then months later it happened again and her doctor lowered the does and that seemed to help tremendously. I truly hope you have success with your journey. Happy New Year!
You sound sooo much like me in every way. I struggle with anxiety, stress, fatigue, etc. I also lost a lot of weight several years ago completely on my own, until one day, I suddenly became sick of salad! That’s when my weight started slowly creeping back up, and I found myself well over 200 lbs again, because I just love the taste of good food (pizza is my downfall!) I started on the Zepbound in February of 2024, and as of two days ago, I’ve lost 73 lbs! This medicine changed my life when I felt like I was a failure, because nothing that I tried seemed to be working anymore. The side effects have never been that bad for me because I’m actually dieting at the same time, but dieting is easy to do when you’re not hungry. I feel so much better, my health has drastically improved, and I’ve gained my confidence back. I am so grateful for this medicine. I wish you the best on your weight loss journey.
Jill, I started semaglutide about 11 weeks ago and have lost 15 lbs, slow but sure. I feel great, and I started weight training! I am shocked by how much better my anxiety is!!! The food obsession is gone, and i am able to have self control for the first time in decades. I turned 60 this year!!! We can do this!!!❤
Jill so glad to see you on your site. I had success with a compounding pharmacy glp1 and lost 30 lbs. I recently stopped the injections due to the cost. However it has been in my mind and I think I’ll contact the group to go back on. Between my medical costs and my golden retriever costs it was getting overwhelmed (she is not going to day care and I’m just walking her and going to dog park ….she is getting spayed in January ). I liked devotion protein shakes. I used the protein powder to make quick individual breads, cakes and even my husband liked them. Sending you ❤.
Hi Jill, We are almost identical in our goals and history. Former GpL1 taker, gained all but 3 lbs back, and I’m ready to get back on track. I hope you will keep us up-to-date on your progress. I find it so inspiring for myself to hear other people’s struggles, successes, and advice. Have you tried the Nurri shakes at Costco? 30 grams of protein in each shake. I hate the Premier Protein too! They are too thick and sticky in my throat. Nurri shakes are just like drinking regular 2% chocolate milk! I love it-I’m hoping it goes a long way to make feel not hungry. Perhaps you could add a little success/ or problems you encountered at the end of your regular videos for those of us who are trying to lose weight and would like to follow your story as we embark upon our own. I’m sure I’m not the only one who would tune in. Best of luck to you! Linda H
I feel you! I do plan on giving updates for sure. I am sure I will learn a lot through my mistakes and wins. ;) Also, I have not seen or tried the Nurri shakes. I will take a look!!
I loved this video! I have a similar story, I was on keto for 3 years - lost 70 lbs. all was well until LIFE happened and I have not been able to get back on, in the last three years I have gained it back. Gaining weight messes with your mind- it has been rough. I did my research and I have decided to do the GLP-1, will start in the next two weeks , after Dr consultation. I will be cheering for you and myself as we start this journey! Thank You for sharing!
My daughter has been on Contrave since May and has lost 55 pounds. She's had a few side effects in the beginning but after two weeks, they resolved. She has found the food noise reduced. She has significantly changed the way she eats. She reduced her portions, stays away from processed food and, most importantly, increased her protein intake and this has been working for her. She also tracks all she eats. She is happy and continues to be motivated to lose more weight.
Be careful! Monjaro/Zepbound works great for some BUT for me… made me sooo Sick! Fatigue, nausea and generally unwell. Dr upped my dosage to .5… I felt ok the first day then I ended up with pancreatitis, sulfur burps, nausea, fatigue… AWFUL! Unfortunately sometimes they lightly brush over the side effects. My system is sensitive too… just be careful and pay attention to side effects. It can cause stomach paralysis as well.
I follow Dr.Tyna Moore here on TH-cam, I strongly suggest any woman over 40 do the same. I was on a glp-1 for 3 months I only lost 5 pounds so my doctor put me on the full dosage by month 3, ended up getting gastropharesis. Not fun. Deathly sick 🤢 I had to stop my glp-1 and couldn’t eat for almost 3 weeks, I was terrified I would never be the same again. But I’m going to say this, first of all after watching Dr. Tyna I realize my dosage was too high and at the starting dosage I had great control over the food. GLP-1 helped turn the food noise off like never before, I felt like I no longer obsessed over food and my diet, it also gave me motivation to exercise daily. Weight lifting is key while on a GLP-1 plus any woman premenopausal or in menopause needs to do muscle building, nothing crazy just lift those weights! I’m having a minor surgery next week but after that I was given the green light to try a low dose glp-1 again and totally plan on doing that. You do you Jill! Just remember it’s a trial and error, there are so many glp-1’s out there now. Don’t give up on you! I’m rooting for you! You got this lady! ❤ I’m so excited we will be doing this journey together! 😊 Edit* you can get the orgain in a large container from Walmart and they have every flavor. I’m like you it’s really the only protein drink I can handle, mix with almond milk and frozen fruit was perfect for me when I was on a glp-1. I started my day with a shake everyday and it really helped me. FITCRUNCH protein bars again from Walmart were my go to. I always had one in my purse and generally could only eat half at a time. Many many flavors.
Great information. Thank you for sharing! Yes, I found when taking Semaglutide it didn't take much dosage wise for me to get the benefits. Just one dose above the intro dose and that's where I stayed. I have noticed so far w/ terzepatide that this "intro" dose is doing it's thing, and we will see at the end of the 4 weeks how it goes, but if I can stay here and still get the benefits I plan on it! I have read that many did amazing on just this first dose. I do not plan on going up just because that's the protocol.
Stay on the lowest dose for as long as you can until you notice food noise or other cravings. If on a compound you can control the dosage and not go up too fast. This is what I have figured out while on my tirzepatide journey.
Hi Jill, I started Tirzepatide compound initially and a few months later finally got approved for Zepbound. Both worked exactly the same for me. I lost 70 lbs in the last year and love this medication. It took the food noise away which feels so miraculous. I have been able to reach my goal weight for the first time in many years. I’ve been very fortunate to have very little side effects. I prioritize protein and try to walk, lift light weights, drink water. I’m excited for you-I think you’ll love it, best wishes, Peggy❤
I recommend doing some research on the "gut-brain axis." The keto diet is one of the worst fads out there; it is not sustainable like many other diets. Additionally, I can confirm from experience that medications for depression and anxiety can lead to significant weight gain. Finally, spending time outdoors and exercising-just walking, for example-is essential for both mental and physical health.
DO YOU THINK PERIPENOPAUSE OR MENOPAUSE MAY HAVE BROUGHT ON SOME OF THESE ISSUES THEY ARE ALOT OF THE SYMPTOMS THAT YOU ARE DESCRIBING. ALOT OF DOCTORS DONT HAVE ALOT OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THIS.
Thanks Jill for sharing all this. I have been undecided about trying Trizepides but hear good things about them. Still struggling to stick to keto due to giving into carb cravings nuts chocolate and just eating too much even good foods. Wondering if the shots would help. Not understanding why I give into carb cravings to eating stuff I shouldn’t on keto or overeating and eating for other than hunger. Not sure if the shots would help that. Have managed to remain prediabetic even with veering off 20 gr keto but triglicerides and lipids are high and hdl only normal 50. Interested to hear more about how it goes for you. Also developed a bladder prolapse and some sciatica pain so wanting to wait to add shots that may have side effects to the mix until I get that under control. Anyway, thanks for sharing. Please continue.
I say don’t delay and take the GLP1s. It will help a lot of your current conditions. It will correct your prediabetes. It also reduces inflammation which could really help your sciatica. Plus, it absolutely curves your carb desire. You should not have to deal with food controlling your life. Keto is tricky for people like us because it just makes us obsess over food even more. Tirzepatide really helps take your mind off of the food so that you don’t have to white knuckle it. Dieting and life is so much easier when you are not preoccupied with food.
I started Zepbound a few months ago and lost close to 40 lbs now. I just picked up a 12.5 dose a couple of days ago so hopefully I’ll lose more. When I first started it I was sick in bed for 4 days. I’ve been fine after that.
We are exactly the same age and I'm going through a weightloss journey as well. Side note...same as far as liking the full feeling. I'm seeing a Registered Dietitian once a month and so far 🤞 I haven't needed to go on medication. But nothing is off the table with regard to that. From natural supplements ie berberine to semiglutide. She has other natural ways of jump starting when plateaus hit. I'm down about 30lbs with another 40 to go. I would love for you to continue this journey with videos and maybe all of us on this journey get closer if not at goal weight in 2025.😊
Please consider going full carnivore. Dr Ken Berry on TH-cam will help. I lost 40 lbs in less than 4 months and my arthritis, depression, anxiety, high bp, fibromyalgia, sleep apnea, etc all disappeared. I’m going to give it another 6 months to lose the rest of the weight but at 58, I’ve never felt better! It’s great that I dumped all my meds as well. I only take levothyroxine as I have no thyroid due to surgical removal.
I completely agree with this comment! I was going to comment the exact same thing. Jill, please consider going full carnivore. The weight will literally just melt off of you! Please watch the video channel that is suggested.. Dr. Ken Berry. You do not need all those drugs to lose weight. I’m not a doctor, but I’ve probably watched hundreds of hours of doctors talking about carnivore and the great absolute results. Please watch Dr. Ken Berry before you do anything else. I wish you good luck and it’s so good to see you again!
@@natalieholmes5881 I agree! I feel absolutely fantastic also! You can eat as much as you want until you are stuffed. The medical community has been feeding us all lies and garbage for decades. I really hope Jill will watch Dr. Ken Berry. He is an absolute lifesaver of thousands of people. I’ve been watching Jill for years now and I feel like she’s a friend. I just want to jump through the TV screen and say Jill… you don’t need the drugs! Please don’t do that.
Yes absolutely some psychotropic meds can cause weight gain, I hear that a lot as well as the craving of carbs. Some meds don’t seem to do this so there are options. You are a gorgeous lady, jill, best of luck on your journey.
I also had a similar thing with my parents I did Paleo lost weight address with my parents - put it back on again - tried paleo again and it just wouldn’t work - I agree your body changes and you have to adjust.
Hi Jill …glad your back…you should try having your hormones checked. Might be real surprise how much better getting your hormones back in balance helps your metal and physical health improve. Balancing your hormones can help with depression, weight gain, etc….much blessings 🙏
For sure agree with you! I had a total hysterectomy due to endometriosis when I was in my early 30's and have on and off HRT through the years. I have dabbled with the idea of getting on HRT once again, but the ups and downs of all of that is a bit intimidating.
The main problem is muscle loss. You will lose 15lbs muscle for every 25 pounds lost. Then when you stop, you are worse off metabolically than you were before the drug. At this age strength training is vital. You can get body recomp without the drugs.
120 - 130 lbs?!! We have to be honest with ourselves first and it is the best policy. I'm hearing a lot of excuses which will always be the biggest hurdles when trying to lose weight.
Hey Jill! So happy to see you. My husband and I went on terzeptide (spl?) about 1 year ago and I myself have lost close to 100 lbs. We initially tried semaglutide and not only did I not lose much over 4 months, but I felt horrible on it. Terzeptide is an absolute life changer. I need a GLP1 and will probably be on one for the rest of my life. I'm ok with that. Just did a whole blood work up and my values have dramatically changed for the better. You do what makes YOU feel good. I'm behind you 100%.
Thank you so much for you inspiring message here and your encouragement. ALSO...Woohooo! Amazing!! Congratulations on your success!!! Yes, I will definitely have to be on a maintenance dose for the rest of my life as well. I am also ok with that as long as I am healthy and all is well! Thank you so much for sharing! Hugs! ❤
I took the generic form of topamax for about five years for neuropathy pain. At 100mg a side effect is I lost a lot of weight as it was a medication created for diabetes. Worked great. I stopped it as I thought it was the cause of my hair loss -- I don't think that was sthe cause. Cheap medication that works great for weight loss and pain
I get compounded to Tirzepatide through telehealth because I have Medicare and Medicare will not cover it. The price range can be anywhere from $200-$450 per month, depending if they have membership fees. Please know the compounding is in danger of going away right now because of recent FDA rulings declaring that there was no longer a shortage of Zepbound and Mounjaro. There is a court case pending. I have lost 60 pounds on it since May. I have eight more pounds to go and then I will be in maintenance.
I’ve been on the generic brand of Wegovy, which is Semaglutide, for 8 months & lost 73 lbs to date! I’m starting my maintenance doses now. I so love these shots, because I have literally tried everything before. The hardest part for me now is that I didn’t change my diet at all to lose 73lbs these shots just cause me to weigh less every week at weigh-in..now I will need to stop with the ice cream and deserts if I want to keep it off..did I say I love these shots? 😃
Woohooo!! Congratulations to you! I know I will always have to be on a maintenance dose for the rest of my life to keep it off. That food noise and night binging is REAL. hahaha! When I came off Semaglutide boy did it come back with a vengeance as did the weight plus more.
@ if I gain up to 5 pounds I will definitely get back on it to lose it. I refuse to get back to the hopeless feeling obesity brings. I know you will do great Jill! You got this!
I’m thinking about going on a plant-based diet. My biggest fear is losing weight too fast and having a heart attack or something. I would want to lose it slowly as possible.
Jill, you will probably find that compounded Tirzepatide has less severe side effects in general and Semaglutide. From day one I have taken 1 teaspoon of benefiber and one cap full of MiraLAX in a flavored water and I have successfully avoided constipation completely.
Does it have different side effects than simaglutide? I did a compounded symaglutide for about 3 months and ended up with paralyzed bowels and am still dealing with that a year later. I would love to find something to help me with my weight. Cymbalta has helped me so much with my fibromyalgia, but I agree it makes me sort of flat...
Yes, it is basically the same. In addition to working with the GLP-1 hormone receptor it also works with a second hormone receptor GIP it works by impacting both appetite regulation and gastric emptying mechanisms. So sorry you dealt with that!
Ready for early 40 % of lean muscle loss and devastating GI symptoms? And by the way the muscle loss will also affect the facial muscles ( hence the term Ozempic face) …please reconsider. There are other less distressing ways to loose weight. With all that being said, I wish you good luck on this journey-they price people pay for this kind of weight loss is severe, because as we age sarcopenia ( muscle loss) is the main cause of morbidity and mortality. Do anything but this….even a gastric band is less devastating to your body.
Hi Jill, I understand your desire to lose weight and get healthy but all these new weight loss drugs are new and the effects of them are unknown. I am a Type 1 diabetic and I have two doctors have said due to the newness of these drugs they have said not to take it. Their opinion is yes it helps some people lose weight but at what cost. Some of the drugs have been used in Europe longer but they are manufacturing so many new medications it is scary and I wonder how it will affect peoples bod in 10-20 years. It seems any previous miracle weight loss drugs that have been introduced are then recalled due to the serious side effects. Think hard about injecting something into your body that is still relatively new. My Retinal specialist said he is surprised what people will do to be thin (thin or possible vision loss).
120s might be very low for you. You could end up with saggy skin. How about 140? You look pretty good, maybe just lose a little weight at a very slow pace.
I don't understand this type of conclusion? How is it the easy way out? I have cut inflammatory foods. My diet is without sugar and barely eating any grains at all. I am eating very clean. Adding walking and stretching for movement and some weight lifting to help sustain muscle and hopefully build new. If the end game is to become a healthier person, and increase quality of life and life expectancy itself...how is that the easy way out? To prove something to someone? To whom?....
What an ignorant response! I am 44 years old, in the throws of menopause, have chronic pain from 4 failed spinal surgeries accompanied by neuropathy and sciatica that require a whole variety of meds to make it through my day taking care of two daughters. My chronic pain limits my activity level and the meds have caused me to gain weight over the years. I attempted many diets over the last 4 years and the best I can do is maintain my weight. I have now been on Tirzepitide for 11 months. In that 11 months I have gone to water aerobics twice a week, done yoga twice a week at home with my Daughter's and simple weight training three times per week. I track everything I put in my mouth and stay within 1000-1200 calories every day! I eat as clean as I can which requires me to prepare most meals (this is so hard for me with my pain level). Eating out would be so much easier but I don't do it. Instead I endure the pain and make my protein and vegetables at home. I started this journey at 277lbs. Today I weight 198lbs. It took me 11 months to lose 79lbs. That is a loss of 7lbs a month...this is less than 2lbs per week. It's not like the weight is just melting off! I've worked for every ounce! Every person's journey is different and personal. You never know all the struggles one may face. Kindness is free. You should consider it. And if you can't I am sure your folks told you if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all! And if they have not, I am!! Good luck to you beautiful Jill. You will do great! There always has to be that one rotten piece of fruit in the bunch!❤❤❤
@@JillLynnBeautyTherapyIn addition to what I added above I just wanted to tell you that I have not experienced any negative side effects while being on Tirzepitide. I know this can be different for each individual. I have also chose to increase my dose when I've noticed little plateaus. My Dr has been great about managing this part, of course. I started at the 2.5mg and increased to the 5mg at month two. I stayed there for 3 months and then went to the 5mg where I stayed for another 5 months. I then increased to the 7.5mg where I am currently. I have room to increase the dose, if needed, as I work to lose the remaining 40lbs. I hope this information helps you and i wish you all the best!!!❤
You will not regret tirzepitide, Jill! I've lost 40 pounds. I started with semaglutide and did not care for it and didn't feel well on it. I love tirzepitide and will never go off of it. You could message me if you like, as I have to pay for mine, as well. Also, I encourage you to find a way to eat that is sustainable. Deprivation is not sustainable for me. I've found I can eat small amounts of food I enjoy and... kinda like people without weight issues.. it's satisfying and I don't gain weight because I'm not over indulging. I'm excited for you!
Hi Jill,
So happy to see you back !
@@JillLynnBeautyTherapyhappy for you!!!
Weights are the answer where is a quarter pound of muscle after the age of 34 …so women lift weights!! Follow Kelli coffee Meyer she’s amazing. She’s 60 years old and you wouldn’t believe it looking at her body, but she lift weights every day.
Eat more protein intermittent fast as much as you can
@@user-dn1pj3db2k at 66 (having gained 3 stone while on steroids) I followed the Michael Mosley Fast 800 diet for 12 weeks. I built up to 16 hrs fast plus 800 cals, (no or very low carbs) and lost 2.5 stone plus my craving for sweet and high carb foods. Never felt so well.
SO nice to see you again! Love you so much!
Aww...I am honored that you watch! Thank you for your kindness ❤
So happy to have you back! You got this. Looking forward to following along with you on this journey 😊
This came at such a great time for me! I have got to get back on track. It’s so great to have you back!
So nice to see this video, Jill. How to attack health issues in our lives is such a personal choice. Wishing you all the best in your journey, and know that we'll be here for you every step of the way. 💖
All things said and done im so happy to see you back and regardless of how you're feeling about yourself you are so beautiful 😊
I admire you and how you deal with what is an issue for so many of us. You are beautiful either way!
So glad Jill to have you back! Wishing you a great New Year! That life gets better & easier. Keep us informed & we will be your cheerleaders!
You got this and I’m over here cheering for you! xoxo 👏👏🤗🤗💞💞
Thank you for sharing and for your encouragement. ❤
So good to see you Jill, I missed you!
Sorry to hear you are thinking about this drastic measure. I really like watching you and wish I could support you in your journey. As I’ve written to you before, if u were my mum and sister I would speak honestly and say please rethink this. ❤
Jill Im sooo happy to see your face again! I Im on "the journey" as well! Started Zepbound on November 1st, and so far Im losing right at 1.5 lbs a week. My insurance wouldnt pay so I had to go with the compounded but Ive not had a bit of trouble with it. Very few side effects except gas, belching, and it seems like I get tired alot sooner than I normally did. I too had done Keto back in 2017-2018 and lost 92 pounds! I managed to keep it off until COVID arrived. Being stuck in the house for months on end led me right back to the comfort of food...mainly sugar and Cheetos! I had a good run but I knew I wasnt comfortable with the extra almost 40 pounds i was hauling around again. All it took was for me to see Oprah's special about the semaglutide and I felt like she was talking directly to me! Did you see that? If you didnt...you need to look for it here on YT. Much good luck to you...well to US that is! {{hug}}
Good Luck Jill! Glad you did a lot of research. My plans are to lose 15lb with WW
This is so well put. Thank you for your kind words too. ;)
Hi Jill, you made my day!
So happy to see you, I know you have been missed by many. So sorry you have been having issues.
Your knowledge about supplements and food will help so many that dont know where to start. Good luck on this journey to a healthier you!
So happy to see you again
I’m not a big fan of protein bars, but I do like the meat sticks made by Simms. There’s no sugar and it’s pretty clean. I buy mine at Aldi. It’s a way to get proteins without all the maltodextrin and fillers found in protein bars.😊 Great video, thanks for sharing.
So great to see you back Jill! Sounds like you have a very solid and healthy plan! I wish you wonderful results. Happy 2025!🎉❤😊
Hi Jill! I just said to myself yesterday morning when I was getting ready for the day. " I wonder what is happening with Jill?" Good to see you! I really enjoyed those chicken patties with caramelized onions! Yum! You will do great, and please take us along with you! We love you and support you completely. ❤
Happy to see you again. One day at a time. Happy New year❤
Hi Jill lovely to see you again!! I got the notification and here I am!!
@@connectwithyourdeck yay! So glad you are! 😄
Be well. ❤
That's so awesome! I did clean Keto for years, and did try Carnivore...it just wasn't sustainable for me. Thank you for your kind words ❤
That's terrible. I am so glad she is doing better! Thank you for your kind words ❤
@@JillLynnBeautyTherapyMiraLax daily will work and isn't addictive at all
Have to stay Very hydrated or will become very constipated.
Thank you for sharing your experience! SO wonderful to read your experience and congratulations on your success! WOW!! You are inspiring!! ❤
Your Back! Have been thinking about you … glad you’re okay! 🌈🙏🏻🙏🏻
Jill,
I started semaglutide about 11 weeks ago and have lost 15 lbs, slow but sure. I feel great, and I started weight training! I am shocked by how much better my anxiety is!!! The food obsession is gone, and i am able to have self control for the first time in decades. I turned 60 this year!!! We can do this!!!❤
My life, too. I've been on GLP-1 since July. GAME CHANGER!
Thank you for sharing! Very encouraging 😄
Thank you for sharing! ❤ Keep me posted!
Hi Jill,
We are almost identical in our goals and history.
Yes!! Cheering for you too!! We have been on such similar paths!
Thank you so much for sharing! Your daughter is killing it!!
Thank you for sharing. I am working closely with my Dr and will definitely tread carefully
Edit* you can get the orgain in a large container from Walmart and they have every flavor.
Thank you for sharing your experience! VERY inspiring! Congratulations on reaching your goal weight....that's incredible!!
I recommend doing some research on the "gut-brain axis."
The keto diet is one of the worst fads out there; it is not sustainable like many other diets. Additionally, I can confirm from experience that medications for depression and anxiety can lead to significant weight gain. Finally, spending time outdoors and exercising-just walking, for example-is essential for both mental and physical health.
Also, search "vertigo and gut health." It's all connected.
I’m also on a weight loss journey, Jill. We’ve got this!! 💪🏼
Yay!! Yes we do!! 😄❤
Thanks for all the good info, great seeing you again, wishing you a happy healthy new year!
Would love to hear your thoughts on slugging for the face

Thank you! 😄
DO YOU THINK PERIPENOPAUSE OR MENOPAUSE MAY HAVE BROUGHT ON SOME OF THESE ISSUES THEY ARE ALOT OF THE SYMPTOMS THAT YOU ARE DESCRIBING. ALOT OF DOCTORS DONT HAVE ALOT OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THIS.
I agree. So many things we face as we age!
I had a total hysterectomy in my 30's due to endometriosis. Over the years I have been on and off HRT.
I totally agree I am almost two years in and have never felt better!!!
I agree!!
I would love to go carnivore. Unfortunately I can't afford it
Yes absolutely some psychotropic meds can cause weight gain, I hear that a lot as well as the craving of carbs. Some meds don’t seem to do this so there are options. You are a gorgeous lady, jill, best of luck on your journey.
You are very kind. Thank you for your kind words ❤
I also had a similar thing with my parents I did Paleo lost weight address with my parents - put it back on again - tried paleo again and it just wouldn’t work - I agree your body changes and you have to adjust.
Definitely!
Best of luck Jill, hope you have a great 2025
Good luck!!
I tried but ended up with severe pancreatitis. Very costly for me as my insurance wouldn’t cover it so I stopped. I do wish you the best!❤
That's awful! I hope you are doing well now ❤
Hi Jill …glad your back…you should try having your hormones checked.
I recommend Krill oil over fish oil. No side effects.
If any interest I do some 1:1 health coaching focused on anti-inflammatory eating. Feel free to reach out anytime❤
I am heartbroken that my insurance doesn't cover zepbound. I am working with an obesity doctor and I will ask about compounding
Do you have before and after photos
Built protein bars are really good!
Thank you for sharing!
I did some emotional eating and need to drop 20 lbs.
Hugs! ❤
@ thanks, and also, give yourself some grace. You will have plateaus, so just be patient.
Thanks Jill for this video. At 55 I thought it was just me! It is 2025. We got this!!!!
YES we do!!
My medicare or my other medagap will not cover it....Jill how much does it cost?
I get compounded to Tirzepatide through telehealth because I have Medicare and Medicare will not cover it. The price range can be anywhere from $200-$450 per month, depending if they have membership fees. Please know the compounding is in danger of going away right now because of recent FDA rulings declaring that there was no longer a shortage of Zepbound and Mounjaro. There is a court case pending. I have lost 60 pounds on it since May. I have eight more pounds to go and then I will be in maintenance.
@@Gemma1558 thank you so much
I’ve been on the generic brand of Wegovy, which is Semaglutide, for 8 months & lost 73 lbs to date!
Same. Losing too fast is not good especially as we get older.
I’ve NEVER had that problem. I had 30 lbs to lose and it came off a 1/2 pd a week. 2 lbs a month. Took forever!!!
HRT therapy might really help you. At 58 I had to start HRT feel much better more Normal.❤❤❤❤
Jill, you will probably find that compounded Tirzepatide has less severe side effects in general and Semaglutide. From day one I have taken 1 teaspoon of benefiber and one cap full of MiraLAX in a flavored water and I have successfully avoided constipation completely.
Thank you for sharing!
We are not supposed to always be happy. Part of life. Ozempic like drugs are poison. Your brain can rewire itself on its own it just takes time.
Protein bar I love is builder's bar. Not sweet at all
Jill, Barebells protein bars on Amazon are really good! 20g of protein and 1g of sugar.
Thank you so much for letting me know....gonna try them!
Very high in carbs. Has sucrose and not clean.(For those who are keto)
Well. Stay away from doctors. You will not find a solution in pharmaceuticals. It's part of life. No quick fix.
Follow Dr. Ken Berry. You'll learn lot's and you won't need drugs and you'll get healthy. Keto, Carnivore, Animal based is the way to go.
Oh yes.... I was on clean Keto for over 3 years. I explain more in this video. ;)
omg, the drug sounds awful and unnatural but gl. Any drug stops the body from doing what it's supposed to do.
120s might be very low for you. You could end up with saggy skin. How about 140? You look pretty good, maybe just lose a little weight at a very slow pace.
I am wondering that too....I am gonna see how I feel and look!
Yay Jill! You can do it! ❤
Thank you !! You are so sweet and appreciate your cheering me on!
The easy way out will always be the choice of most. Ugh.

You people are setting yourselves up for some dangerous side-effects down the road. Good luck with that. 😳
