    My home state. Quiet, quaint and rural. A place of tradition and natural beauty. Perfectly content to remain a wall flower, the world bustling around her all the while she remain the same as she has always been. May she stay this way for many generations to come.

      @@TheStabbyMedic Berlin NH is pronounced BUR-lin because near the beginning of World War I they didn’t want to be associated with the capital of Germany, however even though I live in Berlin NH I pronounce it Berlin like the capital of Germany, and I call Vermont West New Hampshire. Admit it though, some towns, rivers, etc are tough to pronounce. Even locals cannot pronounce Milan NH properly. I've ran into people at the Nansen Ski Jump who call it Mee-lawn. Some pronounce it mill-lawn. *It's my-linn!!!*

      The southern part of the state has changed a lot. The wonderful farms and wooded acres of land are now gone. Now we're mile after mile of mall after mall. And plenty of $400,000+ McMansions for the wealthy to live in.

      @FreedomUntilDeath 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@cameronsantiago3155 really depends on where in the state you are... southern half of the state is much more expensive than the northern half. We live in the northern half and bought our house 3 years ago for about $130,000. But with the pandemic the housing market has gone wild! Houses going under contract in a day or two and prices are UP! All the massholes and other out of staters are running for the NH hills....

    In 2002 I moved from Manchester to Florida full time. I never did like winter and we had a short summer. Weeks of gray cloudy cold windy days. The high property taxes, cold, rusty vehicles and changing political climate was enough for me. Some of our more well to do neighbors used to vacation in Florida for a month or two in the winter. You knew who they were because of their plastic pink flamingos on the lawn. I wondered what the attraction was. I lived in Hawaii for two years and loved the climate but the island of Oahu got really small after a while. Now I enjoy 300 simply beautiful days a year, tropical beaches, the best fishing in the world and I have twice the home and property at one quarter the tax rate. I spent 50 years in NH and the state is amazing but I had to move on to greener pastures. There are some things that I miss about Manchland but I do enjoy my 'second life' here in the Sunshine State.

      “Men hang out their signs indicative of their respective trades; shoemakers hang out a gigantic shoe; jewelers a monster watch, and the dentist hangs out a gold tooth; but up in the Mountains of New Hampshire, God Almighty has hung out a sign to show that there He makes men."

      @KINDNESS FIRST Mass residents have invaded southern NH over the past 35 years and have destroyed Nashua as well as Manchester . Especially Manchester as the city was once consistently voted as one of the top 3 small cities to live in the USA not to long ago .
      Both Cities have been overrun by Puerto Ricans that brought narcotics , and crime which also resulted in violence and homeless junkies roaming around everywhere . Not to mention that they trashed the place with no respect towards anything .
      Again not all of them but quite a good percentage are gangsta wannabes , this is what I meant by " Just give the city to Mass "
      Lawrence Mass was also once a nice place to live about 45 years ago that got over run by them as well as they simply moved up and spread the filth Northward to NH for the past 30 years and it gets worse by the year .
