    I own a stake in MELI as I believe they're an UNRIVALED ecommerce and finance play in Latin America. That said, I think there are even more compelling plays in Latin America that I've recently called out to my subscribers at www.unrivaledinvesting.com. MELI isn't the only stock I've recently called out, I also own Fairfax Financial which I've published two separate videos on. For more compelling ideas and to follow my personal investment journey check out www.unrivaledinvesting.com! Thank you to all the UNRIVALED INVESTING subscribers that keep this channel going!

    More MELI coverage going forward please. Not well covered by US media. Founder lead, some good interviews out there where they talk candidly about the long term strategy and directly talk about AMZ as competitor. Not always aligned with your take but this one really adds value going into the weeds.

    Big Fan of MELI & AMZN. Tech stocks seems to be having another fantastic year and making profits, especially those companies with close ties to Artificial Intelligence.

    I appreciate management's ability to successfully cross sell products and services like advertising. This really increases their upside potential. I don't see them burning cash on unrelated investments that aren't working out.

    Currently own pags (+60%) and stne (+80) i looked at meli at 800 and decided against it, you win you lose. Looking to DCA into meli for the long hall, looking for a bit mean reversion to 1500s but agree if you have a 10 year outlook its not expensive at todays price (est 5-7x PE in 10 years).

    Appreciate your content and I also have a suggestion. If you can get your videos down to 9 to 12 minutes max. You can still deliver all the content required but it would make a huge difference in getting through your content entirely on a regular basis.

    Thank you for the analysis.
    I’ve been an investor since 2021 and I must say the grade of management and their long term focus is top notch. I see many parallels with AMZN and COST and they are performing.
    A nick sleep type of business that is increasing its moat.
    I like the comments around the lower margin and riskier revenue stream as the main fear factor in these earnings as most have been calling for the lower margins through the tax one off fee.

      Of the videos I've watched that give a glimpse inside Mercado Libre's warehouses, it seems like they do not have robots or highly automated processes. Other than the conveyor belts, most of the work is done by humans, even for repetitive tasks like offloading and sorting packages. Compared to Amazon warehouses where it looks like things are done literally 5x faster with their robots, which also reduce repetitive stress injuries for workers. Meli seems behind in that regard, despite their quick and vast logistics network. Maybe they do have highly automated processes that I just haven't seen yet. Curious to know your thoughts

Other than the conveyor belts, most of the work is done by humans, even for repetitive tasks like scanning and sorting packages. Compared to Amazon warehouses where it looks like things are getting done literally 5x faster with the help of their robots, which also reduce repetitive stress injuries for workers. Meli seems quite behind in that regard, despite their quick and vast logistics network. Maybe they do have highly automated processes that I just haven't seen yet. Curious to know your thoughts on this, Daniel, or anyone else's.

    I'm sorry but I dont understand your reasoning concerning either Fairfax or MELI. They are in my opinion, expensive stocks which don't represent value or any margin of safety at their current value. Maybe they get there, but not here.

      All good, and thank you for the feedback. Everyone is going to have their own journey but it's worthwhile to reflect on a few of your comments. #1 MELI does strike me as an exceptional company. Growing at hyper speed and trading at ~30x FCF, up to you if you think that's expensive. #2 Describing Fairfax as "expensive" however seems misplaced and worth thinking about how you reached that conclusion when public valuations, private valuations, and underlying fundamentals suggest it is not. Obviously this is not advice and I'll save the rest of my details for Fairfax for my subscribers at www.unrivaledinvesting.com

      Meli is expensive at current prices, but if it keeps up its growth rate, then you can justify it.

      They’re obviously expensive because the stock price is over 4 figures!!!

      Hi, (just an opinion thrown there for open discussion). I agree. Its soooo expensive. And its not like you will hold in hand some value they are backed up by. Well, except being flushed with cash. But hey, did you see AutoZone stock? Or Berkshire Hathaway A? ... compare to those, its not as much expensive.
      Byt Meli has one huuuuuuge advantage over (as far as I know), no competition. And thats why they are Unrivaled stock.
      I regret not knowing sooner, nit buying 6 months ago... i thought it was too expensive.
      I dont know what future holds. Its risk. But sometimes risks pays out. So if dip was caused by one time tax event, but all keeps going - then I think stock will recover and there is room for some growth. But thats just my thought. Im curious why do you think stock is not worthy? (I might be thinking of it wrong, not aware of some facts..)

      P/FCF is around 23. Doesn't sound expensive to me, especially after the drop

    Why would anyone buy MELI over Coupang? CPNG p/s = 1.26 while MELI p/s= 6.96.

    • @zachhenry8537
      @zachhenry8537 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Faster growth at MELI, but while saying that, I own Coupang and not MELI 😅

    • @joshuabrist9333
      @joshuabrist9333 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I don't think many people would say P/S is a high quality way to value these businesses. Look at Price to Free Cash Flow and you'll see for the growth that MELI has, it is more compelling than CPNG.
      I own both, but own WAY more of MELI and have been a shareholder for years. This stock always gives good pull back buying opportunities. This is one, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a better one.
