I own Zombi 2, House by the Cemetary, City of the Living Dead, The Beyond, The New York Ripper, Burial Ground, Susperia, and Opera. I dig Italian horror.
The italian horror movies are the ones that really make me an absolut horror nerd. They deliver the style, the atmosphere and the gore that made me collector. Fulci mostly at the beginning but until today I really love thise movies and the scores passionatly. Great collection.
I would definitely add Lucio Fulci’s The Beyond as well. Grindhouse Releasing put out an incredible release of it on Blu-ray that I think every fan of Italian Horror should have in their collection.
Would love for Alice to go and dub the movie himself now, since he's dubbed here but it's not going to happen. Flush the Fashion would be the first of the four so-called 'blackout' albums he did in the early '80s, they're all excellent in my opinion.
Man outstandingly awesome Italian collection! I have them all of course. Bro you have Suspiria but you're missing Inferno. Good showing and cool video Christian!👉😃👈
Those were some great recommendations Christian I have quite a few of those movies but there are some I don't have I got into Italian horror growing up the first movies I saw were Lucio Fulci's Zombie which is my favorite to this day but I close second would be The Gates Of Hell followed by The New York Ripper The Beyond and House By The Cemetery are great also I recently bought Stagefright on Blu-ray that Blue Underground put out
Suspiria is hands down the most beautiful looking horror film I’ve ever seen. I can only imagine how it looks in 4K. Probably one of Synapses best releases and they’ve put out a lot of amazing stuff.
In case you missed it. 88 films, UK, are releasing Burial Ground on 4K soon. Pre-orders are available. Part of The Italian Collection. I will upgrade!👍
Well, since it went from getting hotter to a f**king thunder and lightning storm and getting pretty cold. I decided to put my Summer music on hold and work out to Cannibal Corpse instead, after all, I'm gonna be watching Addam's family values later on. Hadn't seen that movie since the 90's and early 2000's on cable. Gave it a rewatch recently, loved it, and now gonna watch it again. Great movie. Make it a part of my Summer movie cycle. Should mention speaking of Cannibal Corpse...not a fan of their more recent stuff. I haven't liked their new stuff since Evisceration Plague, meaning I don't like that album and haven't liked them since. I'm a big Italian horror fan, especially giallo. I haven't seen any of the Italian jaws ripoffs, with the exception being Tentacles. I love Tentacles. Awesome movie. I've watched it many times for my summer movies. I love it. Best killer Octopus movie ever made in my book. I haven't seen all the other jaws ripoffs because of this thing called - WORD OF MOUTH,lol. I've heard they are really bad...so why waste my time? I'm a big big fan of Michele Soavi. Cemetary man is one of my all time favorite films. Got a Cemetary man poster recently. I LOVE Soavi. The guy is a master genius at directing. Last year I watched his film The sect....what a very boring and generic movie...but his directing is so good. So the fact that Soavi can turn a boring and generic script into an entertaining masterpiece of film making says a lot about the guy's talent. So ya, the sect I aint a fan, aint gonna watch it ever again. It's a boring movie, but Soavi's directing is so great and memorizing it kept an otherwise bad movie into a watchable experience. Just like Sergio Martino, it saddens me that Soavi didn't direct more horror, he could of been one of the greats. The church, I like it...not a very good script once again. Not a fan of the story or script or anything but I like it enough. My favorite scene is the train. That's the standout scene for me. I love the music, the set up, etc. Overall my go to Soavi movies are Cemetary man and Stage fright. Nightmare beach....it's good. I didn't love it, but it's good. I'm pretty sure Umberto Lenzi filmed like 3 or 4 films back to back in Florida at the time including Nightmare beach. I try and avoid bad movies especially bad italian horror movies so I haven't seen too many bad italian movies. So I haven't watched Cannibal apocalypse and wouldn't. My grandpa had a copy of Anthropophaus. It was one of the movies he bought in a bundle when a local video store went out of business. I always remembered the cover which kind of turned my stomach and give me the creeps when ever I'd look at it. Apparently it was the CUT version called The grim reaper. Never watched it. Was too disturbed and creeped out to give it a watch. Murderrock. I've found a new appreciate and love for Murderrock. I watched it every now and then back in 2012-2014. At least 3 times. Then I gave it a rewatch for my summer movies last year....damn was it good. I loved it. I really did. In fact near the end of the movie I said to my self "If this was as brutal and gory as New York Ripper I would prefer Murderrock to New york ripper." I LOVE Suspiria, I try and not watch it too often. It's one of my all time favorite movies. That said...I am not a fan of the all the updates. To me, it ruins the lighting effect I've always loved about the film. The lighting in all the updates is too....clear...clean? Which is not at all what I want when I watch Suspiria. Going to watch Two evil eyes next year in October. Can't wait. I need to give Burial ground a watch. Never seen it. I did give Zombie 3 a watch a couple years ago. A youtuber gave it a good review, so I checked it out and...ya, I thought it was terrible. Didn't like it at all. LOL. Back in the 2000's I got a copy of Paganini horror and gave it a watch...I only lasted about 20 minutes into the film. I just turned it off and did something else. I use to think Tenebrae was my number one favorite Dario Argento film and giallo...but I think I may prefer Phenomena to be honest. Love Demons. Again, not a fan of Demons 2. Generally not a fan of remake sequels, especially with the same exact cast - with the exception of Pumpkinhead 2 and Return of the living dead 2. I give those a pass. Love House by the cemetary and Zombie. One of my favorite italian horror movies which is pretty underrated in my view is Ghosthouse. I love Ghosthouse. I've watched it many times. One of my favorite Umberto Lenzi films. Ya, not the best acting in parts, some bad/absurd dialog at times.....but who cares?! I've seen far far worse. A great movie. It takes place in Boston and they use the same house that was used as the Freudstein house in House by the cemetary. Highly recommend to anyone who likes Italian horror. I'd also recommend Tentacles as a GOOD Italian jaws ripoff. I have no idea why Tentacles has such a bad reputation and rating on IMDB, Tentacles is a legitimate GOOD movie.
Hi Planet CHH Yeah Italian Horror are really the Best in my Opinion 🧟♂️🇮🇹 The Church from Dario Argento it's a Underrated Movie for sure but i can Recommended to you guys. I had fun with Nightmare Beach 👍 I really need Cannibal Apocalypse in my Collection i saw it only one time in my life and it was not Bad if you ask me. I love the Sequel Absurd but not Anthropophagous it was very boring to me. Suspiria is a Classic Movie for Horror Italian Fans 😘👌 Zombie 3&4 are fun and Entertainment Zombie Flicks. City of the Living Dead from the Master of Horror Lucio Fulci this is my All-Time Favorite of him. Thank you for your Video Physical Media4Life 📼💿📀
Will probably grab Anthropophagous and Absurd during Severin’s Black Friday sale later this year along with some other stuff that I’m missing. I wanted to get Murder Rock based off of the cool cover art but I’ll take your advice and watch it first haha.
Theres an alt version of Living After Death with female vocals and different lyrics in composer Al Festa's movie Gipsey Angel. In Paganini Horror the soundtrack also copies an ELO song called Twilight from the concept album Time. Tip... Michele Soavi's name you got the last name 100 percent. Easy to mess up the first name is kinda like Me Kay Lay. I believe Its a variant of Michael. Great video. Been addicted to Italian horror for over 40 years and have a lifetime deep dives and dealing with unnoficial releases in my history. Oh Zombie Lake is a multinational co production primarily French and Spanish. Jean Rollin is credited with the bulk of the film after Jess Frqnco apparebtly walked pretty quickly. Based on cast, makeup... and cinematography style with the zooms and dwelling crotch shots and all I really think Jess is behind most of it. Its a terrible guilty pleasure for me. It sucks ass and still i bought the soundtrack on "swamp green" vinyl just because i'm in awe of its managing to be trashy but so inept that none of the trash elements offend.
CHH…my guy…if you loved The Church, then you need to check out StageFright from Blue Underground. It’s a 1987 Italian slasher that Michel Soavi made before he directed The Church. The music is incredible, the kills are brutal, and the killer is super memorable. I’ve probably left you 10 different versions of this comment over the years and I’m still holding out hope that you’ll pick up StageFright and give it a go.
hola you have a great movie collection i remeber when i was kid in italy was present Blockbuster (Berlusconi deal) and i only rent horror movies i remeber a cat in the brain from Dr. Fulci!!!!! but my favorite film ever is Zombie from Romero (impossible to find at blockbuster i found in a different locacl movies rent)
I thought I was the only one who loved the beyond. I’m a New Orleans native too. I should’ve added it. Bava is the god, but I fear the young crowds won’t dig him
@@PlanetCHH dude the beyond is fantastic! Literally a masterpiece!! I can’t watch it without having an Abita purple haze or Andy gator beer, I’m huge horror fan especially Italian horror, for city of the living dead, zombie and house by the cemetery would you say to get the 3 disc blu rays or go 4K for those? Also love your channel, nightmare city by umberto lenzi is fantastic too ! And for helping me with the question, here a fun fact the singer of Pantera Phil Anselmo also an LA native is huge horror fan and especially Italian horror 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Zombie lake is French, my apologies. I still say don’t buy it tho 😂
I recently went out of my way to watch zombie lake. Nope. Never again.
Jean Rollins movie right?
Usually entertaining but strange and not really perfect. Lol
I would also recommend 1987 Stagefright, also by Michele Soavi. Very underrated slasher with one of the coolest scenes in horror.
I own Zombi 2, House by the Cemetary, City of the Living Dead, The Beyond, The New York Ripper, Burial Ground, Susperia, and Opera. I dig Italian horror.
The Tenebrae chunky box set is gorgeous
4K of Suspira is gorgeous. The colors pop amazingly on an OLED. Great recommendations man.
The italian horror movies are the ones that really make me an absolut horror nerd. They deliver the style, the atmosphere and the gore that made me collector. Fulci mostly at the beginning but until today I really love thise movies and the scores passionatly. Great collection.

Monster Dog has one of my favorite songs in any movie ever...Identity Crisis.

Stage fright 1987. Great film. On tubi. Great video.
The Beyond & Black Sabbath are also classics.
Bravo, bellissimo signor Christian! 👌🏻😅
The original Suspiria is a masterpiece. Great movie.
GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS CHH, I HAVE THE MAJERITY OF THOSES MOVIES, DEMONS 1 AND 2 ARE MY FAVORITE.

Nightmare City, Cannibal Ferox, & Eaten Alive are 3 of my favorites from Umberto Lenzi
Suspiria is hands down the most beautiful looking horror film I’ve ever seen. I can only imagine how it looks in 4K. Probably one of Synapses best releases and they’ve put out a lot of amazing stuff.
Lol I remember the live stream where you were talking about how the cover for Zombie Lake was good but you said the movie was awful!
Another great list. I have alot of these.
In case you missed it. 88 films, UK, are releasing Burial Ground on 4K soon. Pre-orders are available. Part of The Italian Collection. I will upgrade!👍
I will gladly drop a like on any video that praises night killer
Would love a follow up video for this. I purchased a bunch of the recommendations from this video and the video you did w/ Pizowell.
Great list, bro! I would definitely add Argento's Deep Red to the list. It's a masterpiece! Cheers!

I just picked up the 3 disk limited edition of the new york ripper and the 3 disk limited edition of zombie with the splinter cover
i love the church
Dude BURIAL GROUND is absolutely BONKERS,,,,The Relationship between the Mother & her Drawf Son is beyond Weird 😅😅😅

🔥🔥🔥🔥👹
They use shots directly from the movie jaws 🤣🤣
Your seriously lacking The Beyond!! On par with Fulchis Zombie! Also Michele Soavis Stage Fright!, also Mario’s Bava Bay of blood!
