- A memorable performance from Wendy James, Nick Christian Sayer, Dave Parsons and Anthony Doughty. I've overdubbed the soundtrack of this Top of the Pops performance with the original single recording and repeated a few video sequences so that you can enjoy the whole song. ;-)
One of those criminally underrated bands, that should have been HUGE.

Dont know what went wrong, TV should have been mega big ( as big as Queen) , They had a fantastic singer ( and a gorgeous one) , the right musicians and great songs.

So witty and grounded in the interviews.. She won allot of prizes at school.
There were several reasons for overdubbing the original soundtrack:
1) I wanted to include the complete song but the TOTP performance was only 3:05
2) The VHS copy I have is linear mono sound with limited dynamic range
3) Undubbed versions of this performance were already available on TH-cam
4) Wendy and the band were all miming to the record for this performance anyway!
I remember the Sunday world I think it was my Dad barred her from the Warwick castle pub I wasn't too happy about that she's the most hottest girl ever
There have been better singers than Wendy, and more "beautiful" girls... but few can match her sheer sexiness!

i remember,it was press destruction which hurt them,then they split up,and she never got the coverage after that. She stated in an interview ,she would be bigger than madonna. The press ridiculed her,and looked for any negative story about her,it was a total witch hunt,i saw transvision live in 1989 or 1990 and they were brill,and i remember the delay and then cancelling of their 3rd album ,press were riding her very hard at the time.

Obviously the bits at the beginning and end of the song where I've patched in clips from other parts of the performance aren't going to be in sync, although having gone back and viewed the original TOTP VT this morning I have to admit there are other parts of the song where the drummer seems to be doing his own thing which doesn't match the recording he's playing along to! This used to happen quite a bit on TOTP. Some bands would deliberately mess up in protest at having to mime and not being allowed to perform live...
Why? Is there a drummer?
