The ones that say 43 feet means that is the farthest back you can have the rear axle center, not that it has to be set there. The very simple thing to remember is that if you put it at the 41 foot mark you are legal in every state except CA, which is 40 feet. However if you have to move the axles back a little further because the weight is a little over 34,000 then it's ok, but you will find that with just about all of your loads the weight will be good at the 41 foot mark.
The trailer axles in this video are at the 42' mark, because you put the rear axle center at the mark, not the center of the axles. You need to nove them up one foot to be legal in every state except CA, which is 40'.
Rand-McNally Motor Carriers Road Atlas. Bridge Law is explained in chart on page A 15 This is a federal law, is the same in all 50 states. Figures shown are MINIMUM lengths that a load is spread out. Example, 80,000 pound load on 5 axles must be 51 feet OR LONGER FROM FIRST TO LAST AXLE. It has NOTHING to do with the 41 or 43 foot figures that the OP is referring to.
WRONG !! You are explaining the kingpin law. Near the end of your video you show the actual bridge law chart. Kingpin law and bridge law are 2 different things.
A+ video this topic doesn't get talked about nearly enough
Well, THAT was helpful! Nice work! As always, travel safely...
Thank you. I just learned a lot. I truly appreciate YOU. Have a great day!! 🤗💖🙏
SPREAD AXLES are the way to go like what most flatbed trucks run and some hopper bottoms

Hello how soon can you get into leasing program after you graduate from getting your cdl’s at Wilson logistics
I believe you have to do 6 months on your own after training
@@chassadventures9243 thanks for the info,be safe on the road
You are talking about KPRA law which is king pin to rear axle. Bridge law has nothing to do with kingpin distance at all.
can you please suggest what book she used?
It’s just an truckers atlas
