And in reading Acts one cannot disconnect the gift of the Holy Spirit from the person of the Holy Spirit, they are one and the same. But if that is too much of an intellectual hurdle, think of the lyrics this way- send it (referring to power) on down . . . Lord let the Holy Ghost (the giver and gift of power) come on down.

The Holy Spirit is not an it. He is the third person of the Holy Trinity. To refer to Him as an it in a song is disgraceful and blasphemous.
