Watching a TON of DCI content this summer of '20 ; ( These BD year-enders were much more in-depth a few years ago... y'all should keep doing that long-format coverage - it's fantastic!! '14 looked like a special year for sure.
Thank you for sparking a passion in marching music within myself BD. A love I've never lost. I've watched this video countless times since I was 15. Truly a comfort watch. I am now 21and will for the first time be auditioning for a Front Ensemble spot with my dream corp. It's my last year to try and make a Corp and BD would be a dream come true.
I don't what Logan Shillinglaw IV is doing now, but I'm sure it's good. His fingerprints are all over this ginormous (video) production. And it's awesome. I shot/produced a corps video for a top 12 corp years before this, at a time before cameras were everywhere, so people didn't know how to act in front of cameras. So the interviews were stilted, and the comments were immature and corny. It was like pulling teeth to get the corps to cooperate with even the simplest shots I wanted to capture. Storytelling wasn't a thing back then. Now (even back in 2014), it's everything. I appreciate that this production was a LOT of work.
I love the blue devils and I really want to tryout but I'm not sure if I will make it cause I'm not that advanced on rifle or saber but how do you join/tryout?

My high schools band was looking into buying these uniforms last year, but it never happened because it was WAYYYY to expensive, would have been cool though
John Jonsonjonsonjonson they sell a lot of those stuff. props, instruments, flags, and uniforms, because they never use them again. they should go to use instead of sitting there forever

Got to learn from Henry Gillard at auditions for a Winterline he's teaching this year. Great guy that has so much knowledge and skill as a teacher.
