Look.. first game of the season. Many new faces starting. New formula with a new QB. A lot of room to grow. 12 team playoff, plenty of time to adjust and succeed. Not hitting the panic button any time soon. Go Noles.

It wasn’t just his fault. I watched the entire game and it was a lot of peoples fault. The only player or coach that looked like he gave a damn about winning was the kicker
FSU faced LSU twice in the past two seasons, dedicating their entire preseason to those matchups. Their performance in those games was among their best. However, they seemed unprepared for their recent game against GT, as if they assumed victory would be effortless. Go Noles, Work!

The problem with that is what will he say if and when they lose another game. If anything the player leaders in that lock room should be making a speech like this.

Ya need to talk about the job being done at GT rather than the culture at FSU.
In other words, that game had more to do with GT doing things right than FSU doing things wrong.
I was really hoping this was the case. Maybe GT had been severely underrated and were so good they might be making a run at the NC this year. But after watching the game film and breaking it down play by play they arent hardly any better than last year. GTs play was nothing special. They may win 8 now that FSU is out of the way but that’s probably the ceiling for this team. There were so many plays where if the FSU defense plays even 10% more aggressively plays that went for 5-12yards get stuffed at 2-3. Schematically FSU was out of position maybe 5 times the entire game. But lack of effort and a seeming total lack of willingness to initiate a tackle (they almost always waited for the player to come to them instead of stepping up and making the tackle) allowed plays to go much further than they should have. In the simplest terms GT players just played harder. They came ready to play and FSU came out playing like it was an easy win already in the bag.
GT played and coached an almost perfect game for who they are. Florida State played terrible, coached horribly, and the preparation was horrid. And still, FSU lost on a walk off field goal as time expired in regulation. FSU is the team that can clean things up and get better as the season progresses.

Look, I know a ton of people love to troll FSU, which is fine by me. Coach Norvell knows he screwed up and seriously overestimated the team's physicality. I expect him to get it right and continue the Climb. The path to success is not always linear - Go Noles!
These are some of the most ignorant comments. Blame game? How is it a blame game when you put it on yourself? People just make comments just to be divisive. This is what coaches do. Grow up children or play a sport with a good coach for once. Whether you lose every game, the coach still goes about business the same way. Give me your parents' number. Just watching the Florida State Boston College game the coach should be relieved of this position as head coach fourth and five in your own territory. Forget it play the percentages sorry dude you gotta go.

Making excuses for players that are overrated and don't perform when the bright lights come on will do no one any good, not the team, not the coach, not the players. If he is at fault for anything it is recruiting them and glazing them into thinking they are better than they are.
I'm not sure the "It's on me, I take responsibility for the result" is always the best thing to do. Sometimes players just aren't good enough and sometimes it's the players fault. Lack of motivation, sloppy preparation and focus, a general mixe of trash culture and values. That's not to say it's true of most of these FSU guys. I think a lot of that in the past has been cleaned up by moving bad attitude guys out and better ones in. But SOMETHING is wrong. It could be mostly a talent issue that can only be fixed by recruiting and portal, and if true, fans will just have to have some patience. If Norvell wants to own some blame though, it would be for bringing in DJ Uiagaleilei.
FSU has a problem, not the coach, the players. Replace the QB now! Put offense & defense coach no notice, rake away all that money paid to players who are not producing. A whole new team would help!! A couch cannot make a team win, it has to be the players on the field. Change QB now!!! The season is over for the Noles.

ALL of those SEC transfers FSU got in the offseason came in thinking this was going to be a cakewalk. Most of those transfers were never starters, and it showed. All of them bought into their own hype. Unfortunately, none of them deserved any.

It was week zero. Nobody really knows how good their team really is until they go out and play the game. In my opinion, the first rankings should not come out until after the first three games. This gives the pollsters enough time to fairly evaluate every team and then ranked them accordingly. GT brought back a lot more of their starters to include transfers than FSU did. I thought it was a well played game by both teams with the exception of a lot of missed tackles by FSU defenders. Otherwise, it was a very well played game with very few penalties etc. FSU is going to have a good season. GT is going to have a good season. I really would like for people to tone down the expectations for teams that had great seasons last year and focus on this year. There are going to be a lot of teams that had a good season last year that will start off slow this season. But keep this in mind, its not always how you start; but how you finish the season.
I don't think that sounds like what you would define as having a great culture. To me. That just sounds like the most possible cliche thing you could say after a loss, he's like a half ...Tebow.

Well blown in culture because forest stage is locked for a second game and there's one team. We don't have to worry about in the playoffs this year because they just lost 2 games in the ACC conference against underrated teams and they got beat bad Florida State is overrated.

I hate wishing anything other than success for teams. However, as a dedicated Texas Longhorns fan, I am hoping for more losses and more marginal play from Florida State. It is not based on not liking Coach Norvell. It is solely based on my hope that Myron Charles, and maybe even Kevin Wynn flip their commitment from Florida State to Texas.

@@powell4661 63-3 literally means nothing and what's embarrassing losing a game? Losses happen. TCU lost to Tulane AND Kansas State in 2022 and made it to a Natty game. Alabama lost to A&M in 2021 and made it to a natty game. Ohio State won a natty in 2014 and lost to Virginia Tech that season.
