Seen much the same set but as a support act to Radiohead in Galway, Ireland, in 1996. Different atmosphere as it was a stadium concert and pouring rain. Also got engaged to my wife that day ... Good day !!
I discovered the Cardigans with "My favorite game" and I was like 14 years old give or take. Back then in Turkey it was hard to find a Cardigans album, so I bought the only album I could find and it was "Life". I thought My Favorite Game was in it but rather than disappointment I thought songs in that album are better than My Favorite Game.
That would be great, but the band has distanced themselves from that album over the years. 😕 However, one bright spot is that very recently Nina has expressed some interest in reconnecting with songs from that era. Even going so far as having the band rehearse songs they haven’t played since then! So that’s something. 🤞
A very underrated song of the Cardigans. I am surprised people only know Lovefool from the Cardigans, that song is only an average song compared to whole discography of the Cardigans imho!
Very interesting microphone placement as well. I swear I've seen a concert where they only used overheads?!? Here it looks like just overheads, maybe a single overhead, and a kick and snare mic. Crazy. That requires crazy tuning and great dynamics.
Very happy to find this. Most other live material is from post Turismo shows...and that stuff is good too, but it makes sense to have some representation of how good they were with some of the original style, and this confirms they were good live and not just a studio band. Good stuff.

Peter is a very humble man and I would love to work with and or for him and be his good friend because he is very special and underrated. He’s funky bluesey jazzy rockin sloppy at times all at the same time! Love the tone and the chords. Just so lovely. I’d love to just hear them in the studio.
@Dape1904 I agree. But I want to share some the bands I like, tell me if you like them, too please: Sixpence None the Richer, The Corrs, The Cranberries (have some songs with similar sound). I also suggest a new cover band named First to Eleven, their vocalist has a pure silky voice like Nina Persson does.
