Great video ❤ thank you for sharing and your excitement over them is infectious haha I was going to ask, if you preferred your Tooliart over these Aartx, but they seem to do different things. I have started collecting the tooliart set but think these could be a great addition as well. Ulike you I love to haord art supplies (not a great habit) and love having matching sets. This set and the B are in my basket 😂 😊
Great video. I bought some of these a while ago, but a slightly different box. In some ways I am quite disappointed with them. I didn't try them for a while and when I did there are at least three of them (white included) that have dried up and won't work. Also when I tried your method after watching you colour the frog page in this book, they just don't react the same way. TFS
Thank you. Yes, I have had mixed responses about these pens....I guess they are very new for me so they work fine and I have enjoyed using them so far. But I will be using them for basing more than for covering up black lines. I do hope they don't dry up too soon 🤗💗
These are some of my favourite pens, I do use them on my black lines, some require a second coat, but often I’m happy if it’s just knocked the darkness out of the lines. I much prefer the brush tips, I find it gives more control to get some really thin marks if you need. I’m on my second set of these, as I’d run out the yellows and pinks. I’d never thought to base with the, might give it a try👍🏻x enjoy yours, x
So great to hear that you have enjoyed using these pens....I have tried playing with them a little bit now and they are fun to use. Definitely can be used for basing....would you recommend the other set of colours? I think the colours are brighter/darker. 🤗💗
I bought them specifically for backgrounds, as an alternative to posca because of all the lovely soft colors.. but they streak like crazy. Even a second coat doesn't help, just makes the situation worse. They behave exactly like a waterbased marker only matte and randomly opaque... you never know when you open one what you are going to get. One leaves the lines completely, the next covers enough you have to be really careful with it and the brush tip doesn't lend itself to "careful", but none are totally opaque so they aren't a replacement for acrylic pens. They just don't do anything well. I was very disappointed and they have sat in their box ever since.
I think they work great for basing, really happy with them. Like you said, not completely opaque, but they cover a little bit and you can then colour over them pretty well. With regards to covering black lines, I don't think I was going to use these for covering black lines - I would stick to my paint pens like I mentioned on the video. Beautiful colours though 🤗💗
