Marcelito did not grow up speaking English but he is learning and improving all the time. His wife Joan was there to support him and translate if needed. When Howie said it was too early to give the golden buzzer that was not true. Marcelito was the sixth or seventh act during the taping and Simon had already given it to a dance troupe. They edited that part. Please react to him singing “Time to Say Goodbye” on AGT. Marcelito was the only singer in the competition to make it to the finals ….he came in 4th. Thanks! 👍
Marcelito admits his English isn't good, so his wife was with him as his translator. Amazing fact is he can sing in French, Spanish, English, Italian and Chinese all languages he doesn't speak but learns the songs by listening. Amazing as he had very little schooling. He is a great singer, sometimes he sings songs solely in a male voice othertimes solely in a female voice. He doesn't only do solo 'duets' he is also very comical on stage. Lovely reaction to him.

I have been to 3 of Marcelito's USA concerts and he sings the same live, but even more so he has a funny side to him and is a complete showman, has the audience doing sing-a-alongs. I danced with him during his Despacito number at 2 of the concerts I attended! You should react to him doing the complete female voice on his cover of Power of Love by Celine Dion. Another artist I would love for you to also cover sometime is Gabriel Henrique, who has a very fluid vocal range, from Brazil. He also does not speak much English but can sing perfect English songs, its crazy! He also got golden buzzer on AGT in 2023.
The way I look at it if he was awarded the golden buzzer he would have advanced directly to the finals and we would only see two performances instead of the three he eventually gave. He has since given concerts in America, Asia, the Middle East and is currently performing throughout Europe. However much his fans fault AGT they have to admit it gave him the worldwide exposure to be where he is now.
I think Marcelito already perform local and international after being dub as a TH-cam sensation.. And I think he already performed in Italy b4 joining on AGT.
They screwed him because Simon thought he was just a gimmick. He told him he was just an impressionist. The production staff made him sing songs he didnt want to sing.
