I cannot wait to sew this for my daughters first birthday. I found the tutorial so easy to follow. Great camera work too every thing was perfectly in shot. Appreciated the encouragement along the way too! ♥ love from Australia
This dress is so adorable. Your tutorial was amazing. It was so clear and understandable. Best of all I have a grand daughter who will love this so much. Great job!
I’m new to sewing and used your pattern for my second and third projects. They turned out great and it really is such a fun pattern to make! Your video is fantastic as well. Thank you so much!
I read a comment , someone wanting the pattern with a full back. You said it would be coming.I am totally new to your patterns and site .I love the pattern, my granddaughter is wanting a twirly dress . Do you have the pattern for it yet ?If so where do I find it please ,many thanks
Wonderful tutorial!!!! I have always had such a hard time finding the correct size patterns. My granddaughter is a typical size 4 in store bought dresses. How are these patterns sized?
If I wanted to make the bodice same as the front for the back what would I need to do please? Basically instead of having it open at back just a normal bodice ? Many thanks
I haven’t drafted the bodice for the back to be like that yet, but it is coming. :) It has to be sewn differently, so the tutorial will have to be redone. Make sure to follow/subscribe so you’re notified when it comes out!
Do you have any idea when it would be ready ? I have a 5 year oldgranddaughter, who wants a twirly dress ,she will soon outgrow this .Many thanks ,Eileen
Do you have any idea when this would be available ,again for the same reason for wanting it my granddaughter will outgrow her love of dresses and twirly ones .Many thanks ,Eileen
Can you do this with woven fabric using a serger and coverstitch? What adjustments would I need to make? I feel that with the ties, it will work without having to up the size. The coverstich can do the topstitch with one needle. I'm an advanced beginner on knits but want to try something with some beautiful woven I have for my granddaughers. I can still do this with all of my knits too.
Aloha! It would be very quick and simple for me to size this up for you. Just email me at contact@alohasewingcompany.com so you can make this for your girl 💕
Aloha! This dress is specifically made for knit fabric for the stretch at the sleeve and the waist (so the girls can put them on). Cotton woven fabric does not allow for enough stretch in those areas. But check back soon.. because the woven version is in the works! :)
@@karenstocks2623 yes, it could. There’s a lot more into sizing up a pattern correctly and testing it for cotton woven fabric. It is in the works though. :)
Thank you for the tutorial. I bought the pattern on Etsy. I know you have nothing to do with this and it benefits your channel, but that 2:45 commercial is way too long. I almost forgot what I was here for.

My daughter (in the photos) is also a 4 - make her a size 4! :)

Hi beautiful work. I didn't see any instructions for seam allowance. Do you add seam allowance for this pattern?
Seam allowance is always included in my patterns! I typically use 3/8 inch/1cm for this dress unless otherwise stated!
I forgot to add that I would also love this pattern for a woven fabric, thank you .
It is in the works. :)

It is possible, but it may be a little snug around the waist band.
This is beautiful. I wish the pattern was bigger. My daughter is 8, but she is big for her age, she would need a 12 probably.

Hi is it possible to make this dress in cotton fabric please ? Many thanks

Hi thanks for the reply
Couldn't it be sized up ? To make the waist and sleeves bigger fir cotton fabric?

What are your serger settings? I'm still learning mine
Just use the standard, basic settings! Typically I use mine all on setting 4.
Is it possible to make this reversible with another fabric on the inside?
I don’t think so, it would require doubling the entire dress, sewing it differently and hiding any seams.
Is the white lining a jersey knit too?
It sure is!
