Well I´m pretty shure Greta supports Simracing alot. I started SimRacing years ago cause I was fed up of all the waste. Well okay also some of my friends died on road so thats one more reason to drive online^^
I’m watching this video immediately after rage quitting Spa. That rolling start is pure stupidity, got spun before I even got on the god damn start/finish straight
One Shot Qualification. Everyone ghosted, one lap, qualification is done in 3 minutes and makes the whole thing a lot faster. You also don't run the risk of misscalculating how much time you have left to get your actual flying lap, nor you run the risk of someone messing up your lap, getting in the way, etc...
Took your advice and stuck with it on Daily Race C. Started P4, spun myself T1 and ended up with a 6s penalty putting me 18th. Stuck with it and finished P4. Good advice Steve GT, thank you.
That’s the first thing you learn when you start go karting at 8 years old. Doesn’t matter how much time you’ve lost in some kind of scuffle, especially if it is early like on lap one or two, you never know what’s going to happen later in the race. Before you know the word of it, half the field could crash out, and that shit genuinely happens too!
For me when i " usually" spin out, i keep going just to see if i can beat everyone top lap speed or a what if i didnt spin out race where would i be. To help me be motivated to finish a race still
tom d or when the game’s just being stupid yesterday i was turning in a corner and some idiot didnt break at all he just flew right in front of me i didnt even see the guy and as i was turning i lightly tapped him and got penalized for it the idiot didnt break he would fly off the road anyway so i just quit
I had that happen yesterday. Brazilian got mad that I passed him on the inside into a corner when he left the door open and full speed side swiped me and ran off the track giving me a 5 second Penalty and ruined my race. I got so upset I had to turn the game off lol
Great job Sgt. You have made a huge impact on GT. Testament to that is an invitation to the live events from the developers. Keep up the hard work and congratulations for your continued success.
Really loved the intro, made me lol. It is interesting how you work with another car to catch up with a group, I never thought of that, I am always trying to get past whatever is in front of me, but working together with whoever is in front of you to gain time on everyone else is such a good strategy
"In sport there is never any moment that is the same as the other. I have been in F1 for 12 years and out of that I had one year with the perfect car". - Michael Schumacher. Just goes to show that Driving IQ and Strategy is probably just as if not more important that the car itself.
Very good advice man! I've done 3 fia races now, one jumping from 1st to 7th back to 2nd and even a couple of 3hr races where I've jumped from dead last to first, twice. It pays to have patience, some racers are far too eager to pass too soon or where they probably shouldn't, abusing their tires too much or simply trying to overtake you in the next hairpin and they send it flying into the sand trap, that's always funny lol
I'm not a GT player by any stretch (the original on Ps1 for me is the best ever; purely for the GTO), but I really do enjoy watching your vids. Fantastic stuff.
Love the content. Unsure if it's just my speakers but quite often when you say a word with S in it, it pierces my ears. Very noticeable around 0:05 when you say "in thiS one". Have never had this problem with any other audio, other than your videos.
Unbelievable intro - how have I not seen this until now?! Hahaha! Great video mate - you're right, a lot of people could learn from this. Just gotta' stick with it and push on.
BEST INTRO EVER. Also Steve, I have no idea how you kept that Ferrari on the track for the majority of the race. Damn thing is a nightmare with tyre wear. Would unsettle in a flash if you as much kiss a kerb or a bump.
Maybe I'm dumb but I am curious. If you're pitting so often for tires, wouldn't it make sense to go 100% on fuel and refuel on one of your later stops, rather than doing any fuel saving whatsoever during the race?
@@Super_GT The man himself replied O.O /faint Thanks for the answer! It seems like a tight trade off between the two, but maybe the gap is bigger than I'm imagining.
Race strategy is all that matters.. When i have a penatly or untidy lap in quali and start from the back i always learn a lot!!How to overtake(safely),saving fuel, tyre management!!
I got punted in an FIA race 3 weeks ago and was ready to quit but I refused and carried on. In the end from the crash I fell to P8 up to P6. Was very happy.
I'm surprised you went for four stops. I did 2/4/4/4 in the GT-R with a controller and the tire wear was fine. 14th to 4th for my (then) best ever score in an FIA race. Loved this combo.
The beginning of the race isn't what matters, what matters is the last lap, the last corner, and the stretch. Anything can happen between the start and the finish.
I agree with you, but i think its important to also be mindful of what state of mind youre in. Sometimes if im too annoyed, staying in the race doesn't help me learn because im still seething about what happened, so i push too hard and fall further back, only making my mood worse. I think for me personally, it would be smarter to leave in those cases. Then again, thats why i dont do proper lobbies, races or FIA any more - i dont want to rage quit.
Fair point and I do agree with you. I do the same from time to time. In absolutely ideal world you wouldn't be too annoyed and would continue but of course we don't live in an ideal world.
Hello from Georgia USA, I follow you and I learned a lot about driving in GTSport, I used to drive renault in real life, i am now in my mid 50s so looking for a fun pastime I did enjoyed at the beginning but soon I realized you can’t ha a preferred car because the software changes the feel and performance of every car, enhancing all oriental cars which made angry at times, so I bought Assetto Corsa and realized this really feels like a true driving simulator, the only downside is that you need to buy a top of the line steering wheel which is amazing but unfortunately not good for people who don’t have the means. But the feel of every car is consistent to reality. I driven a few of those cars so I have a good reference, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Thank you.
This is how good grand tourismo is the struggle is real with this game and it’s so fun with the fight after coming from the pit the idea of how to gain the place if you decide to use the correct Tires yeah this game is so much fun let the race comes to you
I didn't even participate in this race in Ferrari. With experience from different tracks I thought it will turn into drift machine after 2 laps. But you've somehow managed to keep it on track... mostly.
Well, I often want's to Rage Quit, if something is going wrong, but I am proud to say that I mostly (mostly, because I Rage Quited 2 Races in Safety Rating Class C) don't Rage Quit and keep going till the end. And that's also the reason, why I never finished at last (Thankfully😹) Like you said: It just gives more experience.👍
I Really don't get the door numbers. I've been racing at RedBull ring all day. I Can not get past 1:42.269 which has me consistantly starting between 13th- 16th being between 6-7secs off the lead yet I keep getting very low door numbers like this last race I was given 2. there's no way I'm getting second place from 13th in only 4 laps unless the whole field in front screws up Seriously bad
Do you reckon putting two hards on the front, one soft and one medium on the back and going for a no-stop would be a viable strategy here? But consider the element of surprise you would gain as well!
Dale earnheardt jr martinsville 2006 look up the day dale jr didn’t give up that’s why you don’t quit his car was wrecked but with the damage to his front bumper there was so much room for air to hit the tire and keep the tires cool so he could race harder and harder it was a great race I suggest everyone look it up if they haven’t heard about it before
I can’t have been the only one to notice ”points earned: 1337”

Definitely room for 1 more meme. Missed opportunity =(

KEEP RAGE QUITTING. It's the only way I move up positions 😢
You've got this Lewis.. miracles DO happen mate. Get back in there.
yes
I remember this manufacturer's race: in my lobby almost no one used all 3 compounds and I shot from 8th to 3rd due to all the penalties
Was it D B lobby?
I’m watching this video immediately after rage quitting Spa. That rolling start is pure stupidity, got spun before I even got on the god damn start/finish straight
Yeah it's a shocker. The game really needs to sort it's rolling starts.
Least you didn't dc
Like last week on willow springs, leyends says I'm still flying trough the shadow realm
Why isn't the auto drive engaged till the startline? This would solve the problem or am I wrong?
Throttle control mate, we have all been there during our younger days
2:02 I just wish they'd give us the option for reduced fuel on qualifying.
Diax1324 or just disable fuel consumption entirely on qualifying sessions
@@ericsu14 nah i think its better if you can say you want to start with x l of fuel for both qual and races (especially daily races)

How ironic is It that the track is at Kyoto, place of the Kyoto Protocol.

15:23 loved that moment so much Super GT, what a clean move, if there is no space, create the space, that is my device !
Best FIA intro so far, so good!
Finally I'm early! Love your vids, man. Keep the good content going on. You have a nice sense of humor, please never change.
I like the cinematic view in between overtakes and other moments of interest
I dont even have a PS4 but I still wanted to say I enjoyed the occasional switch of camera of roof and cinematic/replay. Keep up the good work!
The Gretta Thunberg clip was legendary 😂

Honestly the best intro ever :D

Dead right. It was a tough race in that car. Simply had to drive as smooth as humanely possible.
"only time your position matters, is when you cross the finish line" i am inspired man xD
Maybe I'm dumb but I am curious. If you're pitting so often for tires, wouldn't it make sense to go 100% on fuel and refuel on one of your later stops, rather than doing any fuel saving whatsoever during the race?
There is more time to be gained by fuel saving and saving the time by not having to fuel.
