From 2:04- 2:33 you can see the Randle Building. The yellowish building to the left of the street, which you also turn into the street that it’s located. My daughter and I were there 3 days ago requesting vital statistics. At the RB we experienced paranormal activity, which City employee’s witnessed too and confirmed that the building has a great deal of activity.
Very neat to hear that!
Green and Sarah DeWitt are my great grandparents six generations back. Sarah made the "Come and Take It" flag in 1835.
That's awesome. I lived in Gonzales when I was a kid. So much history there.
Very interesting. Living in Australia , this is one place of which I've never heard.Happy travels.
Thank you, Richard! It’s an important place for American history. Please be safe down there 🙏🏻
@@601TRAVELS .Thanks. We have terrible bush fires in south east Australia. The closest to me in Albury is about 100 kms away. It's been very smoky for the last fortnight.

You should have went to the museum with the "Come and Take It Cannon" in it
It just popped in my mind to see what my namesake town actually looked like, looks good to me, Come And Take It! Great slogan.
It is really an awesome town. Had a great time visiting. Hopefully you can check it out sometime in person!
@@601TRAVELS I'm from Galveston, Texas, which is not very far from there. I used to tell my friends when I go there I don't have to pay for anything, as a joke. I have some friends named Sweeny and there is a Sweeny, Texas. I will eventually see Gonzales.
Oh how i miss gonzales. Havent lived there in years.
I think Gonzales was one of my favorite Texas towns to drive around and explore. Thank you for watching, I hope you can get back one day!
I lived there from 94 to 2000 off and on over the years. Im from lake elsinore ca. Great video!
Thank you 😊
Only thing you’re missing is the sounds of all the stupid cars with the obnoxious bass all hours. The most ghetto small town in Texas.
Ugh those damn things are everywhere I guess 😂
Not to mention the history of violence. for years it seemed that every time a fight broke out someone from the Ramos family died. Including a pregnant woman who attempted to kill an armed bartender with her brother before being taken down with a shotgun as she jumped the bar.
Also, the town is cursed because the crooked sheriff hanged an innocent man. He was forced to sit in his jail cell with a view of the courthouse clock tower counting down the minutes. So he cursed the town, the sheriff's family, and even the clocks on the clock tower. Saying they would never read the right time so that no one else would have to count down their last minutes. This would be proof that the curse was real. It's been replaced and repaired several times since then and the faces are still off.
Very interesting to hear these stories as an outsider after visiting the town. Thanks for sharing. Horrible, but it definitely proves that every towns got its secrets.
I live here and my stepfather is a Ramos, his brother was shot and killed at 17 yrs old.
Flat as a pancake... I didn’t know that...
Thanks for another video...
Yeah the town itself is flat but what’s funny is that it’s in a section of Texas known as ‘Hill country’ 😂
